Bai Xianyong is an author sensitive especially to time. By his unique time awareness, He expresses the misfortune experience and feeling on the human being's living: time is eternal but life is limited;everything is changing and easily dies away. Time is the tie of connecting his thinking with the history and fate, Bai Xianyong's time awareness is contained in the history and fate through which we can fell the lost and sorrow brought by time. From the story, Bai Xianyong's feminine angle is exhibited through close attention and sympathy on women. A fanciful feminine world appears from the feminine angle: the miserable fate of women,the suppressed desires of women and the reversed relationship between two genders. He treats female as an individual, as an equal of male, intead of any appendage. He emphasizes the magnificent living environment, abandons the simple conflicts between men and women, and chooses an objective way towards them in the environment, displaying his realistic attitude in comprehensively, truly knowing and expressing women. As a homosexual writer, Baixianyong had the most deep experience and feeling in the third sex world which granted him the authority of expressing the unique emotional characteristic of that sexuality.His depressed childhood experience and different sex orientation, which maybe considered as the resource and motivation of his writing, greatly helped him to form his special language style and delicate descripetion. Bai Xianyong uniquely focuses on the eternal humanity with a tragic view. His novels make more readers' mind moved,and make themself question their own fates and make them obtain unique knowledge value and aesthetic enjoyment.

“Cultural Revolution” is one of the most important events in Chinese modern history. It has great influence on politics、economy、culture、society、thought、spirit、morals and so on. “Cultural Revolution” is a common and important theme in the overseas Chinese literature. Not only the number of participated writers is large, but also the created works are exuberant. The “Cultural Revolution” writings, began from Chen Ruoxi, and developed quickly until the third generation immigration writers. During this advancement,the writings transformed from traditional to modern, simplex to complex style. This paper tries to analyse the differences and common parts between Chen Ruoxi and Yan Geling’s writings, in which one is the deputation of tradition, while the other is the modern. Therefore, from them, we can find some characteristics about the Cultural Revolution works.

She combined the female life and complex historical, desire for expression freedom of women’s sex, explore women’s road of salvation in the reality. Her works as a history of grow up of Chinese women, she create a new aesthetic style of the female literary.
