Abstract - The study reported in this paper deals with the optimal operation conditions for the formation of photoresist line pattern for the sub-layers of bare silicon, silicon dioxide and aluminum. Light sources of i-line and h-line are used and expose time and develop time are varied for each sub-layer so that the optimal condition can be obtained for the slope and depth of photoresist line which has a width under 1 ㎛.

The transient freezing of a liquid flowing inside the annulus of double pipes is investigated analytically under the assumption of a constant inner tube wall temperature which is lower than the freezing temperature and an insulated outer tube wall. The solid-liquid interface thickness was determined as a function of time and position along the tube axis from the equations simplified by the successive application of a finite Hankel transform and a Laplace transform. Results demonstrate that the interface thickness increases as the fluid inlet temperature or the tube wall temperature decreases and that the dimensionless solid layer thickness decreases as the ratio of the outer tube radius to the inner tube radius increases.

The ability to interpret technical drawings of mechanical parts play crucial role in the engineering profession. Nowadays, tolerance specifications are inseparable components of an engineering drawings. This study proposes a method for analysis of GD&T(Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) propagation by making use of the Monte Carlo simulation. This approach generates a large number of discrete assembly instances and randomly selects a point within the tolerance region with the prescribed statistical distribution. The results are promising in that we can predict the final tolerance distributions in advance before assembly processes.

We studied on the thickness of the oxide to be produced at the apex. The thickness of the oxide to grow offers important data with the apex even though it formes the hole of the probe. We used MEMS process in the experiment.

본고는 貞齎 朴宜中의 문집 〈貞齎逸稿〉와 기타 관련 자료를 검토하여 그의 불분명한 생애를 재구성하고 시세계를 고찰하여, 고려조 말기의 문학에서 그가 차지하는 위상을 논의하도록 한다. To investigate the characteristcs of friction and wear of ceranice, 5 material combinations including aluminum oxide, silicon nitride and AISI 52100 steel were tested in dry slidinf contact. The most outstanding material combination was found to be AISI 52100 steel sliding against silicon nitride.

Abstract - A series of stress-free silicon nitride resonator for nano-electromechanical system device and wireless telecommunication applications are microfabricated. The fundamental resonance frequency of doubly clamped beam can be calculated from the mechanical properties and the geometry of the resonator. Rolling contact fatigue cracks are of the most common of failure in gears, bearings and railway track. There are two different forms of contact fatigue crack. The cracks may be initiated at the contacting surface, and thereafter propagate at a shallow angle to the surface; alternatively they may be initiated at large non-metallic inclusions below the surface, in the region of maximum cyclic shear stress. In both cases, the cracks continue to propagate in this region before either detaching lumps of material or changing direction to case catastrophic failure. A two-dimensional Finite element model for the rolling contact surface crack subjected to Hertzian pressure distribution has been developed in this thesis. The model takes into account the effect of frictional locking between the faces of the crack. The stress intensity factors for and lubricated surface cracks subjected to a Hertzian loading are calculated by the finite element method. The effect of crack face friction on stress intensity factors is considered for lubricated surface cracks.

미끄럼운동을 하는 접촉면에서 발생하는 마찰열에 의한 열응력과 기계적인 응력을 합친 전체 응력에 대하여 von Mises 항복조건식을 사용하여 마모발생을 예측할 수 있는 마모방정식을 유도하였다. 이 마모방정식으로부터 마모도(wear map)를 만들었으며, 이 마모도는 운동조건에 따라 마모가 발생하지 않는 영역, 조건에 따른 마모 발생영역, 마모가 발생하지 않는 영역 등 세 영역으로 구분되어 있다. 마모도에 나타낸 마모 영역은 시험데이타와 비교되어 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

This paper describes a theoretical and experimental investigation of the pressure-time histories of some basic internal combustion engine exhaust systems. The program package is utilized the method of characteristics to solve the general equations of one-dimensional unsteady gas flow. This analysis is then combined with boundary models, based on quasi-steady flow approach, to give a complete treatment of the flow behavior in the exhaust system. Using a rotary valve simulator, experimental pressure-time were obtained. The predictions are compared with measured results and show a high degree of correlation in amplitude and phasing.
