The characteristics of soot oxidation are investigated experimentally. Soot oxidation occurs at approximately 470t in a mixture 21%O₂. base N₂ gas. and enhances as temperature increases. The initiation temperature of soot oxidation advances greatly to about 330°C with the addition of 300ppm NO₂ CO is generated at higher temperature by about 100°C than CO₂ in the process of soot oxidation. As the O₂ concentration increases, the soot oxidation started at low temperature and CO₂ is created a lot.
