Direct-drive robots are suitable to the position and force control with high accuracy, but it is difficult to design a controller because of the system's nonlinearity and link-interactions. This paper is concerned with the study of the force control of direct-drive robots. The proposed algorithm consists of feedback controllers and a neural network. After the completion of learning, the output of feedback controller is nearly equal to zero, and the neural network controller plays an important role in the control system. Therefore, the optimum retuning of parameters of feedback controllers is unnecessary. In other words, the proposed algorithm does not require any knowledge of the controlled system in advance. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the experiment on the force control of the parallelogram link-type direct-drive robot.
친환경적인 컴팩트 송전탑용 폴리머 절연암의 성능평가에 관한 연구

최근 고압송전선 시설에 대한 경과지 확보가 점점 어려워짐에 따라 환경 친화적인 콤팩트한 송전탑 설계가 요구되어 지고 있다. 콤팩트한 송전탑용 절연재료로서 폴리머에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 특히 철탑암의 재료로서 폴리머 재질이 몇몇 선진국에서 적용되어 좋은 결과를 얻고 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 송전용 철탑암에 대한 폴리머 재질의 적용은 미흡한 실정이었는데, 이제는 폴리머에 대한 고강도, 고기능화 기술이 개발되고 있으므로, 이를 송전용 철탑암에 적용하게 되면 급격한 전력수요의 증가에 따른 송전공급의 증대에 민첩하게 대응할 수 있는 방안으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 송전탑용 폴리머 절연암을 설계하고, 그것의 전기적 특성을 해석하고, 기존 철탑에 적용한 콤팩트 송전탑을 설계하여 기계적 안정성을 시험하였다. As a right-of-way security for the high power transmission line tower construction is becoming more and more difficult, the friendly environmental compact tower design is required. For a proper insulation for the compact tower, the polymer material are being tried. Some countries has already adapted, in the various polymer application and management data, polymer arm insulator to the transmission tower, and shown a stable operation. However, in our country, the polymer arm insulator has left much to be desired in the installation on the transmission line tower. But polymer material has been developed by high strength and technology and is expected to be used in various electric equipments. The polymer arm insulator is a one of good electric insulation materials to expand the power supply capacity in the rapid power demand increasement In this research, the new polymer am insulator is designed and its electric specifications are analyzed. Its mechanical specifications is verified through the field test on the compact tower which is modified by the polymer arm insulator.

The system consists of two parts : one includes hardwares such as actuators, linear scales and a probe, etc. the other involves softwares for management and control of the system. Compared with existing 3D auto inspection system, this system achieved automatically the inspection. This automatic inspection makes the system have some advantages to reduce a measurement time and to be easily used by operators.

This experimental study has been conducted to scrutinize the effects of an ultrasonic standing wave (USW) on the propagating velocity and structure of methane/air premixed flame. Propagating flame was caught by high-speed Schlieren photography, and the variation of flame-behavior was analyzed in detail. It is revealed that horizontal splitting in burnt zone is resulted by the USW, and the flame propagation velocity is augmented due to the strengthened chemical reaction. Evolutionary feature of the flame perturbed by USW, maintaining a pseudo-symmetry of top and bottom flame-front about the propagation axis tends to be free from buoyancy effect.

In recent years, condition-based maintenance techniques have been used to detect and resolve failures in systems inside and outside ships to optimize the safe operation and downtime of ships. For fault detection in ships, learning-based ship system state estimation, such as deep learning and machine learning, is currently receiving considerable attention. In this study, we aim to detect the failure of FGSS equipment through machine learning-based fault detection. In this study, an LSTA-based AE learning model was designed and FGSS data were acquired through satellite communication from a ship during actual operation. We demonstrated the usefulness of the proposed method by learning FGSS normal data using the proposed model and detecting abnormal signals of the ship based on it.
선루프 모터 과열 방지를 위한 데이터 기반 열 차폐 알고리즘 개발

This paper presents data-driven thermal protection algorithm for preventing overheating of automotive sunroof motor. When a sunroof motor operates abnormally, its coil is overheated and it is failed. Besides, drivers and passengers are damaged. Hence, the sunroof motor observes its temperature and will be stoped when its temperature reach a predefined level. In order to implement low-cost thermal protection function, we drew a knowledge-based temperature increasing and decreasing curve from the result of experimental test. And then, we implemented data-driven thermal protection algorithm which prevents motor’s On/Off operation according to motor operating voltage and motor speed. Finally, we implemented experimental test bed and evaluated its feasibility.
