        낙상 경험 유무에 따른 노인 여성의 허리와 무릎관절 근력 비교 연구

        Background: This study was conducted in order to see if muscle strength is different according to fall experience in female elders by comparing their muscle strength of waist and knee, which is one of factors inducing fall. Method: For this study, 22 female elders aged over 65 sampled from senior centers in D City were surveyed on their fall experiences using a questionnaire asking clinical history. Then, 8 elders with fall experience (FE) and another 8 without (NFE) were selected and participated in the research. Isokinetic muscle strength was measured with isokinetic equipment BIODEX SYSTEM 3 PRO, and the peak torque was obtained from the highest of 9 measurements at angular velocity $60^{\circ}/sec$ according to the method recommended in the manual. Measured items were waist flexion and extension, and knee flexion and extension. Results: The FE group showed higher extensor and flexor muscle strength of the waist, but the difference was not significant (p<.05). In addition, no difference was observed in extensor muscle strength of the knee (p<.05). In flexor muscle strength, however, the FE group was significantly higher than the NFE group (p<.05). Conclusion: The application of regular exercise programs for improving muscle strength, endurance, etc. to those with fall experience will be effective in preventing falls among them.

        Circular Annulus 대 회전 이층유체 실험

        본 이층 유체 실험의 목적은 하층유체가 외부유체의 유입 유출로 움직일 때 그에 따른 상층유체의 경압적인 응답을 연구하는 것이다. 최근에 관측된 용해 심층해류의 순압성 특성(Takematsu et al., 1994; 한국해양연구소, 1997)을 고려할 때 상층은 이러한 동해 심층수의 움직임을 경계면의 변형을 통해 느낄 수 있을 것이다. 본 실험은 이러한 경계면의 변형에 영향을 주는 요인들을 연구함으로써 전체적인 동해의 해수순환 혹은 국지적인 해수순환을 파악하고자 하였다. 정상적(steady)인 축대칭의 유입 혹은 유출실험은 균질 유체의 경우, 축대칭의 지형류를 야기시키며 이층유체의 하층유체 흐름도 유사한 특성을 가졌다. 그러나 로스비 수(${\varepsilon}$) 혹은 내부 프라우드 수($f_2$)가 증가하면서 하층유체의 운동은 경계면 변형에 영향을 받았다. 상층유체의 최대속도는 ${\varepsilon}f_2$에 매우 의존적이며, 그 흐름은 거의 포물선 형태를 보였다. 관찰된 상 하층유체의 속도로부터 계산된 경계면의 기울기는 ${\varepsilon}f_2$에 따라 커졌다. 즉 ${\varepsilon}f_2$의 증가는 이층유체가 순압적인 구조에서 경압적인 구조로 바뀌게 하였다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the baroclinic response of the upper-layer of two-layered fluid when the lower-layer motion is driven by pumping an external fluid into the lower-layer or by pumping out the lower-layer fluid. Recent observations of the barotropic nature of deep water movements in the East Sea (fakematsu et al., 1994; KORDI, 1997) may suggest a possibility of interaction between the upper and lower layer via interface tilting. For homogeneous fluid, steady and axisymmetric source or sink causes axisymmetric geostrophic flow, and the lower-layer motion in two-layered fluid was similar to homogeneous flow. But as Rossby number (${\varepsilon}$) or internal Froude number ($f_2$) increases, the lower-layer motion was affected by the interface tilting. The interface tilting calculated based on the observed azimuthal velocities of upper- and lower-layers becomes greater as $f_2$ increases. In other words, the increase of the $f_2$ changes the barotropic system to baroclinic system.

        절기예배와 기독교교육의 새 패러다임을 위한 제언

        This study articulates the educational issues of seasonal worship following the Christian church calendar. The methods of this research are derived from the questions regarding Christian education following the church calendar, historical teaching methods by the Hebrews for their next generation, and the development of the seasonal worship in the early church. The final question has drawn upon the ways seasonal worship is celebrated in the contemporary church. Celebrating seasonal worship stands at the forefront of church worship. Then, how can the modem church interest people to become involved in and to educate people in the deep implications of seasons in church calendar? How can it be developed to connect faithful education and seasonal worship? What is the issue of Christian education relating to seasonal worship in the changing circumstances? Underlying the questions raised above, this research examines the historical background of the church calendar and its meaning in formatting seasonal worship. Next, this study is about 'what to teach' regarding the contents and meanings of the church calendar. The final part of this study suggests 'how to teach', the methodology of seasonal worship, ways of 'curriculum reformatting', 'teaching and learning methods', and the 'ecology of seasonal worship'. To redesign curriculum, this study suggests potential ideas of methods for explicit, implicit, and null curriculum. Types of teaching and learning methods suggested are experimental, reflective, and relational learning methods. The ecology of seasonal worship provides a way of inter-generational faithful education, development of partnership, and formation of a faithful community.

        요부안정화운동이 여성 노인의 요부 및 하지 근력에 미치는 영향

        Objective:This study aims to examine how lumbar stabilization exercise and resistive exercise affect lumbar and lower extremity muscular strength of the aged. Method:Randomly selected 15 female senior citizens aged 65 or older at S, Y, and J senior citizens` center located in D city who meet the requirements for the study were divided into a resistive exercise group of 7 and a stabilization exercise group of 8 for which 60-minute-exercise sessions were administered three times a week for 12 weeks. Measuring lumbar and lower extremity muscular strength was measured six weeks and 12 weeks after exercise, respectively. Results:First, both resistive exercises and stabilization exercises are effective to improve lumbar muscular strength. Second, resistive exercise is effective to improve flexural muscle strength as well as lower extremity muscular strength, and stabilization exercise is effective for both flexion and extensor muscle strength. Conclusion:The 12 week lumbar stabilization exercise program appeared to be effective to improve lumbar and lower extremity muscular strength of the aged. This indicates that applying this program to identify and prevent frequent risk factors of falling can lead to the prevention of secondary problem factors of falling accidents.

        Recently, as the alternatives to preserve environment such as effective usage of wastes or unusable resources are drawing attentions, researches and measures for the two tasks, which are reuse of waste wood and development of eco-friendly materials, are being examined and established in various fields. However, they are still insufficient. Therefore, in this study, for the efficient application of waste woods and eco-friendly effects, mortar was produced using sawdust as the waste wood and mineral material cement for combination, in order to produce inorganic boards using waste woods, which were made when sawing. The present study purposed to analyze the physical and dynamic characteristics of woody cement boards, which were made by modifying water-cement ratio for each wood inclusion rate based on a hardening-accelerator inclusion rate set in previous studies and, based on the findings, to provide basic data about the physical properties of inorganic boards made of waste wood, in order to produce woody cement boards using waste wood, which has problems in being used in the manufacturing of woody cement boards.

        This paper proposes design and validation of fault diagnosis for electric oil pumps used in vehicle. There can be various requirements for a malfunction diagnosis, but it is difficult to analyze without understanding the characteristics of an electric oil pump. The proposed method provides how to analyze the fault diagnosis requirements of electric oil pumps and state machine model designs to implement source code and validate with system implementation. This method will be necessary to predict various fault situations and determine the actions to be taken in each situation. Also it presents a way to ensure consistency between fault diagnosis requirements and the implementation.

        순환전압전류법을 이용한 수중 생물막 측정 전기화학센서

        Biofouling causes many problem in industrial processes, medical health industries, water utilities and our daily life, So detecting formation of biofilm on the surface of medical appliance, water pipe and industrial utility is highly important to prevent the problem caused by biofouling, In this study, we suggest an electrochemical sensor for detecting biofilm, We fabricated the electrochemical sensor in MEMS process and cultivated two different kinds of Pseudomonas aeruginosa RpoN type and Wild type on the surface of electrochemical sensor. Each group of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was cultivated according to the hours of 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24. Then we investigated changes in degree of biofilm cultivation using cyclic voltammetry. As a result, it was observed that peak of the cyclic voltammetry curve is increased according as the biofilm growth on the surface of electrochemical sensor. Also we can discern between Pseudomonas aeruginosa RpoN type and Wild type.
