석탄재는 건축 및 건설 산업에서 모래의 대체재로 사용되어 왔다. 그러나, 무연탄의 고갈에 따른 유연탄의 사용이나, 탈황공정에서 공기정화의 목적으로 사용된 생석회의 사용으로 인한 팽창성분의 혼입으로 인해 최근 석탄재를 혼입한 콘크리트에서 팝아웃 문제가 발생하고 있어 석탄재의 콘크리트 재활용을 심각하게 제한하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 석탄재 콘크리트 팝아웃 문제를 유발하는 성분을 특정하고, 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 팽창성분을 미리 완전히 팽창시키기 위한 전처리 방법을 제안하였다. 석탄재에 혼입된 산화칼슘을 완전히 팽창시킬 수 있는 10분씩 2회 처리하는 최적조건을 적용하여 콘크리트의 팝아웃 및 압축 강도 저하의 문제를 극복할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안된 비용 및 시간 효율적인 수처리 방법은 석탄재의 콘크리트로의 재활용을 활성화 시킬 것으로 기대된다. Coal ash has been used as a sand replacement in the construction industry. Due to the use of bituminous coal as a result of anthracite depletion, and quicklime as an air purifier in the desulfurization process, pop-out defects have recently occurred in concrete using coal ash, severely limiting the recycling of coal ash into concrete. In this study, the components that cause the pop-out problem of the coal ash filled concrete were identified and a pretreatment method to fully expand the expansive components in advance was proposed as a solution to this problem. By treating water twice for 10 min, allowing the CaO mixed in the coal ash to fully expand, the problems of pop-out and reduced compressive strength of the concrete were overcome. The cost and time efficient water treatment method proposed in this study is expected to promote the recycling of coal ash into concrete.
Polyaniline, 1-Butylalcohol, Toluene을 함유하는 H₂O-CH₂Cl₂-H₂O Liquid Membrane을 이용한 아미노산의 선택적 분리

This paper studies amino acid separation using a H₂O-CH₂Cl₂-H₂O liquid membrane system. A CH₂Cl₂ layer is modified and 1-butylalcohol and toluene act as carriers. The solubility of amino acids to CH₂Cl₂. and Polyaniline is also introduced to examine the ability of 1-butlacohol and toluene as carriers. From an amino acid mixture containing GLy, LEu, ILe, VAl, CYs, PHe, HIs, ALa, GLn we successfully separated ALa, LEu, ILe, VAl. This result indicates that this optimized analytical condition obtained could be successfully applied to the qualitative analysis of the amino acids in human blood, urine, and other tissue samples using this liquid membrane system.

In classical titrimetric analyses, the major concern is the concentration of titrant, usually the aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide, that could be changed as time goes by and it is accompanied with the inaccuracy of the resulting data. And the statistical approach, the nonlinear regression analysis, which is a well-known statistical method, was introduced to determine the accurate concentration of the titrant and the exact value of parameters, Ka, r, Ca, Cb, for 0.01 M aqueous solutions of analytes, sodium pyruvate, sodium acetate, sodium bicarbonate, ammonium hydroxide, ammonium chloride and acetic acid at 25℃. We used Gauss-Newton method for the linearlization of the nonlinear titration system and the two-parameter fitting showed appreciable convergent data for the parameters of the analytes set with the various range of Ka value.

A bulk liquid membrane system was introduced for selective separation of an amino acid mixture. We confirmed p-diamethylaminobenzaldehyde (DAB), sulfosalicylic acid (SSA) and 1-naphtol were very useful carriers for selective separation of an amino acid mixture. As a result, Ala, Leu, Val, Phe and Ile were successfully separated by SSA, 1-naphtol in basic condition, 1-naphtol in weak acidic condition, DAB in strong acidic condition and DAB in strong basic condition. The separation mechanism was proposed by ion pair mechanism in the case of SSA and 1-naphtol and Imine bond formation mechanism was also introduced for DAB.

The trimethylol phenol(TMP) is synthesized by means of Freeman's method. The mole fraction of reaction mixture was phenol : formaldehyde : sodium hydroxide(1 : 3 : 1), the reaction condetion was at 30℃ for 40 hours and the yield was 80%. The siloxane barium hydroxide(SB) was obtained from the reaction of siloxane sodium salt(S_3) and barium chloride in the isopropyl alcohol at 80℃ for 4 hours. The mixture of TMP and SB was acidified with acetic acid and heated at 110℃. After 30 min. heating, the reaction mixture was turned into soluble corsslinked resin. The heating was continued up to 130∼170℃ and than insoluble TMP/SB copolymer was obtained. Based on the analysis of TGA and DSC analizer, this copolymer has the higher thermal stability than that of phenol resin. The copolymer was identified by IR and elementary analysis. As the concentration of Si was incerased, the elongation property of resin was increased. By checking the tensile strength and the elongation properties we have plans to apply industrial use.
