In this wort ER(electro-rheological) clutch and MR(magneto-rheological) clutch are devised and their performance characteristics such as response time and controllability are compared. As a first step, field-dependent yield stresses of ER and MR fluids are distilled in shear mode. For reasonable comparison between two clutches, a nondimensional design model is established by choosing same design parameters of gap size and number. Following the manufacturing of two clutches, field-dependent torque level, response time to step input, mechanical Power generation to electric power consumption are experimentally measured and compared. In addition, in order to investigate torque controllability of the clutches a sliding mode controller is formulated and experimentally realized. Control bandwidths of two clutches are identified and tracking control responses for desired torque trajectories are presented.

The Rift Valley Province is a vast valley that penetrates east Africa. Starting in Mozambique in southeastern Africa, it stretches through Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, the Red Sea, reaching as far as Jordan. Lake Turkana is an enormous lake extending up to 56km maximum in a east-west direction. The region around the lake is inhabited by many primitive tribes. The Turkana tribe is one of the few remaining primitive tribes who settled around Lake Turkana. The first purpose of this study is to investigate the geographical characteristics of East Africa`s largest lake-Lake Turkana that extends through Ethiopia, Sudan, and Kenya. The second is to compare the intertribal disputes and the history of primitive tribes living around the Omu River. The third is to study the Turkana tribe and the legend of the Turkana Boy and the minority primitive tribal culture and its significance.

폴리네시아 언어, 종교와 문화 고찰

카본데이팅(방사성탄소에 의한 연대측정)에 의한 폴리네시아인의 거주증거는 가장 오래된 것이 르키즈의 BC 150년경으로 추정되고, 이스터섬이 4세기경, 하와이가 9세기, 뉴질랜드가 14세기경으로 여겨진다. 그들은 아우트리거의 배나 더블카누로 널리 태평양을 항행하고, 하늘을 32등분한 해도를 사용한 해상민족이었다. 본 연구에서 폴리네시아 부족중 마오리 민족의 종교와 예술, 문화 연구를 통해 상호간의 영향과 종교가 예술과 주거 문화와 음식문화에 미친 영향을 연구하고자 한다. 첫째, 종교와 예술의 비교 연구를 통해 쿡 선장의 뉴질랜드 발견이후 많은 선교사들이 마오리 민족에게 서양종교를 전파하기 시작하였는데 이 기독교가 예술에 미친 영향과, 둘째, 마오리 민족 정착 초기의 예술과 현대 예술의 변화과정에 있어서 이웃한 폴리네시아 국가뿐만 아니라 유럽과 아시아의 영향, 그리고 마지막으로 마오리 민족이 갖고 있는 독특한 관습과 문화를 주거문화, 놀이문화, 음식문화로 나누어 각 문화의 특성을 살펴보고 이를 언어의 관점에서 언어와 문화의 관계를 기술하여 마오리 전통과 문화가 꽃피우게 된 원인을 연구하고자 한다. The oldest proof of the habitation of the Polynesians by carbon dating is estimated to be around 150 BC in Reukijeu, 4th century in Easter Island, and 9th century in Hawaii, and 14th century in New Zealand. They were a maritime nation who navigated the Pacific Ocean extensively in double canoe using a nautical chart. This study is to research how the religion has influenced on the development of the art and culture of Maori tribes. First, through a comparative study of religion and art, the impact of religion on Maori art and culture will be studied after many missionaries began to spread Christianity in new land after its discovery by Captain Cook Second, the impact of the neighboring Polynesia as well as Europe and Asia on the art of early Maori settlers and contemporary art in the process of change will be shown. Finally, the unique ethnic customs and culture of Maori, divided into three cultures, housing, recreation, and food, will be explored in terms of its characteristics. Then the relationship between language and culture will be depicted in terms of language in order to investigate the cause of the flourishing of Maori tradition and culture.

The Arhuaco people, with a population of 27,000, are natives in Columbia and ancestors to the people in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta area. The Sierra Nevada is located in the world`s highest coastal area with an area of ?12,600 square kilometers. It also has varied biodiversity with extremities in climate. This area is known as the microcosm of the world as every single ecosystem can be found here. Unique and diverse organisms exist here due to climate extremities of desert temperatures to arctic temperatures. In Spanish, `ecosofia` is an ecology-based philosophy that is upheld as the way of life in the Arhuaco community. These people believe that human beings and nature are spiritually connected to each other. The objective of this study is to investigate the geographical view of the plateau region in terms of how they preserved their unique culture for centuries in an unusual geographical environment. In addition, we want to describe how the geographical characteristics of the organisms and microcosm have influenced the philosophical worldview of these peoples. Finally, we would like to study whether the natural disasters of the world are caused by the imbalance in nature as they claim, and research the precious philosophies of indigenous peoples of equality, conservation and harmony, and the origin of things. Through this study, the religious beliefs and philosophy of the Aboriginal tribe of Arhuaco, who pursue spiritual exchanges with nature, was found to value sustainable conservation of nature without environmental destruction

A Study on the Educational Value of the Cosmological Philosophy of African Minority Tribes

본 연구는 자연과 함께 발달한 문화와 정교한 예술정신을 가진 인류문명의 기원지로서 아프리카 소수 부족의 역사, 문화유산, 전통과 삶의 방식을 조사하여 그들만의 구전 문학과 설화를 통해 내려오는 이들만의 독특한 철학을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구를 통해 소수민족의 문화계승 및 가치를 차세대에 교육하며 관련 연구의 필요성을 제시하고자 한다. 원주민들에 대한 민간전승과 이들의 철학의 가치 탐구는 마치 오래전 조상들에 대한 지식을 바탕으로 부모교육 프로그램 영역의 하나인 정보 나누기로서 자녀를 양육하는 수단으로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 그 연구의 의의가 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 소수민족의 정체성 연구를 통해 아프리카 원주민들의 신비로운 지혜가 차세대 문화 계승 및 교육에 중요한 의미를 가진다. 아프리카 부족의 지리적 특성이 민족의 정체성에 미치는 영향을 조사함으로 이들의 관습과 전통, 문화적 유산에 대한 보존의 필요성이 제기된다. 개인과 자연과의 관계에 대해 자연과의 균형이라는 세계관과 삶의 철학을 가지고 영적인 생명과의 공존을 중시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 수세기동안 어떻게 이들 소수 부족의 독특한 문화를 간직해 올 수 있었는지 자연 보존 지속성의 관점에서 민족의 세계관과 철학을 함께 교육하며 지식을 공유할 수 있는데 도움을 줄 것이다. This study investigates the history, cultural heritage, tradition, and way of life of African minority tribes pertaining to the origin of human civilization with a culture that developed along with nature and sophisticated artistic spirit. The purpose of this paper is to study the unique philosophy of African minority tribes with reference to past research. This paper intends to give knowledge to the next generation regarding cultural inheritance and values of ethnic minorities, and to recommend the necessity of further related research. The significance of this study is that the study can be used as a means of raising children through information sharing, a strong program area of parent education, which is inherited and based on the knowledge of the ancestors. The results of the study are as follows. Through the study of ethnic identity, the mystical wisdom of African indigenous people has an important meaning in the inheritance and education of the culture for the next generation. The need to preserve the customs, traditions, and cultural heritage of African minority tribes is raised by examining the influence of the geographical characteristics of their ethnic identity. An emphasis is given on the coexistence of the spiritual life, a worldview of the balance with nature and a philosophy of life, which have a relationship between the individual and nature. The results of this study will allow the sharing of knowledge by educating people’s worldview and philosophy from the perspective of nature conservation, sustainability, and how African minority tribes have been able to preserve their unique culture for centuries.
