Domestic apparel products labeled as ‘Made in Korea’ in the Chinese market are recognized as a high quality products due to the influence of the Korean Wave (Intergen Consulting Group, 2007). This study analyzes the patterns and order arrangement types of a fashion brand company commissioned to produce apparel in Seoul, Korea in order to rebuild a network of small sewing factories scattered in Korea, reorganize operations, and to find the possibility of regenerating the Korean sewing industry by establishing contact points with domestic sewing factories. We surveyed 100 apparel brand companies in Seoul listed in the 2014/2015 Korea Fashion Brand Annual (Apparel News, 2014) and conducted a questionnaire survey on the company’s general management status, type of fabric materials dealt with, and major contact points and methods of production handling. The frequency analysis indicated that the main production material with cloth type was woven fabric with ladies’ clothes. The Planning MD team has the highest rate of ordering production with delivery method to the production factory after purchasing fabric and trims. Most respondents answered that they would select a production factory based on recommendations from acquaintances. This was due to a lack of no objective indicator provided by the sewing factory at present and the absence of objectively proceeded communication with brand companies. In this study, we analyze various conditions and measurements for production arrangements from a fashion brand company to revitalize sewing factories in Korea.

The new type of orthodontic mini-implant named C-implant can be an effective alternative to conventional one-component mini-implant in the intermaxillary fixation (IMF) cases because of its particular design. The small size, two-part design, efficiency, and low cost of the C-implant make it applicable to various types of IMF cases easily such as fracture reduction and orthognathic surgery. The two part design resists highly to the fracture or deformation during implantation and removal. The long span head allows the patient to easily attach intermaxillary elastics, so that the patient can apply intermaxillary elastics for traction easily. Through this article, we tried to show the possibility of this appliance as a good adjunct for the IMF screw.

Chondroblastoma was introduced as a rare benign cartilaginous neoplasm by Codman in 1931. It described by Jaffe and Lichtenstein in 1942 as a benign cartilaginous neoplasm that represents less than 1% of all primary bone tumor. It commonly arises in the epiphysis of long bone but, it occurs very rare in temporal area. Sometimes, microscopic identification of chondroblastoma and giant cell granuloma is difficult. An immunohistochemical studies was performed for S-100 protein which is useful in arriving at the correct diagnosis. Treatment modalities are total curettage, en-bloc excision, irradiation, and radiation combined with surgical excision. But radiation therapy was controversial. We describe a case of chondroblastoma which was arisen in the right temporal area and the recurrence that was treated by surgical excision and radiation therapy with review of literature.

Research on electrohydrodynamic (EHD) characteristics by non-thermal plasma was conducted in many fields. Especially, gas flow by an EHD pump has many advantages, however optimization study of the EHD pump was less progressed. Also, because configuration of electrodes is limited as a certain form, study for various configurations of electrodes is required. In this study, the EHD flow was analyzed with an electrode configuration of wire to two cylinders. For the EHD pump by corona discharge, the efficiency and optimal design for various parameters were studied. The empirical relationship between voltage-current and current-velocity was applied to the experimental results to confirm the formation of a stable electric field. Then, velocity profile was measured for various vertical distances between cylinder electrodes. According to the relationship of the voltage with the vertical distance, the efficiency of the EHD pump was evaluated and the optimal design was obtained.
