사역산(四逆散)의 불면 치료 효과 : 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 메타 분석

Objectives: This study evaluated the effectiveness of Sayeok-san for treating insomnia. Methods: We conducted a search using keywords, such as "Sayeoksan", "Si-ni-san", and "insomnia" in eight databases (CNKI, Wanfang, Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane, NDSL, OASIS, RISS) on July 17, 2012. There was no limit placed on the publication period of the papers, and we used Cochrane's risk of bias tool to assess their quality. Meta-analysis was classified according to the outcome measurements, such as total effective rate and PSQI. Results: Nine RCTs were selected. Meta-analysis showed that the treatment group, which used Sayeok-san, had a higher total effective rate than did the control group that used only Western medicine. The treatment group also had a lower average of PSQI and TSS (TCM symptom score) than did the control group. Conclusion: This study suggests that Sayeok-san is effective in treating insomnia. However, these findings should be interpreted cautiously due to unknown or high risk of bias of the included trials.

Objective: This report describes the case of a patient with essential tremors of the mouth and hands, which were improved by Yeokhan-san treatment. Methods: To relieve the symptoms, Korean medicine treatments, including Yeokhan-san, Ohaeng-Hwa acupuncture, and electronic moxibustion, were performed. To evaluate the effects of the treatments, the visual analog scale and Fahn-Tolosa-Marin clinical rating scale for tremor were used. Results: After the treatment, the patient's clinical symptoms were improved. The visual analog scale score decreased from 10 to 2 for the hand tremor and from 10 to 1 for the mouth tremor. The Fahn-Tolosa-Marin tremor scores decreased from 3 to 1 for both the hand and mouth tremors. Conclusions: The present case suggests that Yeokhan-san and Ohaeng-Hwa acupuncture are effective for the treatment of essential tremor.
이상지질혈증에 대한 택사탕(澤瀉湯)의 효과 : 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 메타 분석

Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of using Taeksa-tang for dyslipidemia through a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Methods: The search was conducted using keywords such as "dyslipidemia", "hyperlipidemia", "taeksa tang", "zexie tang", and "takusha to" in 12 databases (Pubmed, Cochrane, Embase, ScienceDirect, CNKI, Wanfang, CiNii, RISS, KISS, ScienceON, OASIS, and DBpia) on April 13, 2023. There were no limits on the publication period and language. Cochrane's risk of bias (RoB) was used to evaluate the quality of the studies. A meta-analysis was conducted according to the outcome measurements such as total effective rate (TER), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), HDL-cholesterol (HDL-C), LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C), and adverse effects, using the Review Manager web. Results: A total of 9 RCTs were selected. In evaluating the RoB, 2 studies mentioning the random sequence generation, 1 study conducting double blindness, and 8 studies without missing values were evaluated as low risk, while 1 study without mentioning the random sequence generation was evaluated as high risk. All other parts were evaluated as unclear risk. The treatment group (Taeksa-tang or Taeksa-tang-gagam) showed more statistically significant effects compared to the control group (Western medicine or Chinese patent medicine) in TER (RR : 1.24, 95% CI 1.15 to 1.34, P<0.00001), TC (MD : -1.12, 95% CI -1.68 to -0.56, P<0.0001), TG (MD : -1.08, 95% CI -1.65 to -0.51, P=0.0002), HDL-C (MD : 0.63, 95% CI 0.34 to 0.93, P<0.0001), LDL-C (MD : -0.81, 95% CI -1.10 to -0.53, P<0.00001). In addition, the treatment group showed lower adverse effects compared to the control group (RR : 0.30, 95% CI 0.12 to 0.74, P=0.008). Conclusion: This study suggests that Taeksa-tang is effective and safe to use for treating dyslipidemia. However, due to the low quality of the included studies, more clinical studies need to be conducted in the future to increase the possibility of clinical use.
MLVSS에 따른 Jet Loop Reactor (JLR)에서 동력량과 공기량이 산소전달률에 미치는 영향

산소전달률은 음폐수, 축산폐수 그리고 매립지 침출수와 같은 고농도 폐수처리를 호기성 공정으로 처리할 시 그 성과를 결정하는 아주 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는, Jet Loop Reactor (JLR)를 이용하여 공기유량과 동력량을 운전조건의 변수로 두고 미생물의 농도에 따른 산소소비율(Oxygen uptake rate, OUR)과 물질전달계수(Volumetric mass transfer coefficient, KL·a)를 측정하였으며, 산출된 KL·a 값의 결과를 가지고 통계학적인 분석을 통하여 비선형 회귀 모형을 제안하여 보았다. 연구 결과, 미생물 농도를 높게 유지시켜야 하는 고농도 폐수를 적용할 경우에는, 동력량과 공기량은 산소전달률의 중요한 인자이며, 마지막으로 최종 비선형 회귀모형을 동력량과, 공기량 그리고 점성계수의 함수로 나타내보았다. Oxygen transfer rate generally determines the performance of an aerobic wastewater treatment process that treats high strength wastewater such as food wastewater, animal wastewater and landfill leachate. In this paper, OUR and KL·a were evaluated by using Jet Loop Reactor (JLR) according to the concentration of a mixed liquor volatile suspended solid (MLVSS), oxygen (air) flow rate and energy input as the variable of the operating conditions. Also, a nonlinear regression model was proposed by the statistical methods with the calculated KL·a. As a results, in case of applying the high strength wastewater which has to maintain high MLVSS, the energy input and the air flow rate are major parameters oxygen transfer rate in JLR. Finally, the final nonlinear regression model had been developed as a function of E/V, Qg, and μc.
금속 급속응고된 Al - Fe 합금의 부식특성에 관한 연구

Electrochemical corrosion characteristics of rapidly quenched Al-Fe alloys have been determined by means of potentiodynamic polarization study and of corrosion rate measurements in NaCl aqueous solutions. Pure aluminium and AI-5 a/o Fe alloy were single roll melt spun to make rapidly quenched ribbons. It was found that corrosion resistance of rapidly quenched specimens was better than that of conventionally cast specimens and also found that aged ribbons exhibit higher corrosion rates than those of as quenched ribbons. This behavior can be explained by hypothetical galvanic coupling of precipitates and matrix. This was supported by surface analysis of corroded specimens by SEM-EDS.
