Regenerative braking is a Core technology to reduce the energy consumption in HEV. Accordingly, properly optimized control strategy is needed to maximize the efficiency of regenerative braking and ensure the stability of motor and battery. In this paper, brake control logic was modeled by MATLAS/Simulink. HIL simulation is performed with the BCU logic. The logic developed is loaded to a 32-bit embedded system platform based on Freescale"s MPC-565 and the vehicle model is loaded on the Real-time operating system.
