모듈러 곱셈을 위한 선형 시스톨릭 어레이 설계 및 분석

RSA와 같은 공개키 암호시스템(public-key cryptography system)에서는 512 비트 또는 그 이상의 큰 수의 모듈러 곱셈 연산을 수행하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Montgomery 알고리즘을 이용하여 모듈러 곱셈을 수행하는 최적의 문제-크기 선형 시스톨릭 어레이를 설계한다. LPGS(locally parallel globally sequential) 분할방법을 이용하여 문제-크기 선형 시스톨릭 어레이와 동일한 연산을 수행하는 임의의 고정-크기 선형 시스톨릭 어레이를 설계하고 분석한다. 설계된 시스톨릭 어레이는 VLSI칩과 같은 하드웨어로 구현함으로써 IC 카드나 smart 카드 등에 이용될 수 있을 것이다. The public-key cryptographic system, such as RSA, requires fast modular multiplication of numbers containing 512 or more bits. In this paper, we derive the optimal problem-size linear systolic array for performing modular multiplication using Montgomery's algorithm. And, we analyze and design fixed-size systolic arrays of the arbitrary size for performing operations equivalent to problem-size systolic array by using LPGS(locally parallel globally sequential) partition method. The systolic array presented in this paper could be designed on VLSI hardware and used in IC and smart card.
RSA 암호시스템을 위한 모듈러 지수 연산 프로세서 설계

본 논문에서는 몽고메리 알고리즘을 사용하여 모듈러 곱셈을 빠르게 수행하는 선형 시스톨릭 어레이를 설계하고, 이 곱셈기와 LR 이진 제곱 곱셈 알고리즘을 사용하여 n 비트 메시지 블록에 대해 모듈러 지수 연산을 수행하는 지수연산 프로세서를 설계한다. 이 프로세서는 제어장치, 입출력 시프트 레지스터, 지수 연산 장치 등 3개의 영역으로 나누어진다. 설계된 지수 연산 프로세서의 동작을 검증하기 위해 VHDL를 사용하여 모델링하고 MAX+PLUS Ⅱ를 사용하여 시뮬레이션 한다. 메시지 블록의 길이 n=512일 때 설계된 지수 연산 프로세서의 지연 시간은 59.5ms이다. 설계된 모듈러 지수 연산 프로세서는 RSA 칩(chip)에 이용될 수 있을 것이다. In this paper, we design modular multiplication systolic array and exponentiation processor having n bits message block. This processor uses Montgomery algorithm and LR binary square and multiply algorithm. This processor consists of 3 divisions, which are control unit that controls computation sequence, 5 shift registers that save input and output values, and modular exponentiation unit. To verify the designed exponention processor, we model and simulate it using VHDL and MAX+PLUS Ⅱ. Consider a message block length of n=512, the time needed for encrypting or decrypting such a block is 59.5ms. This modular exponentiation unit is used to RSA cryptosystem.

공개키 암호시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 512 비트 또는 그 이상의 큰 수의 모듈러 곱셈 연산을 수행하여 한다. 이를 수행하는 고정-크기의 시스톨릭 어레이(systolic array)를 설계하였다. 모듈러 곱셈 연산의 문제-크기 시스톨릭 어레이를 LPGS(locally parallel globally sequential) 방법으로 분할하여 고정-크기 시스톨릭 어레이를 설계함으로써 VLSI칩으로 구현이 용이하다.

The objectives of this study were to investigate problems of training programs for the unemployed and to suggest a operation system of the training programs which effectively provides the opportunity of reemployment to the unemployed. In this study, the operating system of training programs and the improvement plan of introducing reemployment opportunity and continuing vocational programs were developed and presented. The operating system of training programs for the unemployed is consisted of six steps. The characteristics of this model are as follows: 1. The vocational training and the employment service, which used to be separately practiced by the vocational training institute and the employment service institute, will be performed in one service center. 2. All of the training and reemployment tasks will be performed in single line of $quot;levying the unemployed ? determining the characteristics of the unemployed ? deciding whether provides a vocational training program ? (providing a vocational training program if necessary) ? inducing reemployment ? setting a work.$quot; 3. The reemployment education and training institute needs to have sound employment information system. 4. To develop the employment information system, the information control center should be founded to set the both way of exchanging information from the employment related institutes including the educational institute, the employment center, the job seekers, and the employers. Based on the results, the suggestion for the developed operating system for the unemployed and related future research were presented.

The cultivation of agricultural crops results in the generation of agricultural byproducts. Researchers have reported that these materials can be useful in a variety of applications. However, over 50% of them are currently discarded because of the lack of specific technologies in industrial applications. Therefore, effective and specific applications must be developed in order to manufacture high-quality materials using discarded lignocellulosic resources. In this study, we determined the possibility of using kraft pulp from major agricultural byproducts as a raw material for the manufacture of paperboard. Rice husks, peanut husks, and garlic stems were obtained and used to prepare many kinds of kraft pulps by controlling the active alkali, sulfidity, reaction time, and liquor ratio. After the production of these kraft pulps, handsheets were manufactured by mixing them with KOCC. After preconditioning, the physical properties and strengths of the handsheets were measured according to the TAPPI test methods. The shapes, lengths, and widths of the pulp fibers varied according to the type of agricultural byproduct and the kraft pulping conditions. Rice husk and garlic stem pulps manufactured under mild pulping conditions resulted in handsheets of higher bulk than other pulps. Garlic stem pulps manufactured under mild pulping conditions were stronger than rice husk pulps and peanut husk pulps.

Fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs) are widely applied in the papermaking process to improve the CIE whiteness and the ISO brightness of papers. Large amounts of FWAs are used in the paper and paperboard industry, but no standard method exists for quantitative FWA analysis. Therefore, a new method is needed to analyze the presence of FWAs in paper and paperboard to control their additions and applications. In particular, FWA analysis must concentrate on those used for surface treatment of paper because their use in surface applications has increased recently. The purposes of this study were to measure the optical properties of papers surface-treated with oxidized starch containing FWAs and to deduce the regression equations for the quantitative analysis of FWAs used for surface treatments. Surface sizing was carried out to treat the surface of a base paper with T-FWA and H-FWA, and the pickup weight of the surface sized paper was measured to determine the real weight of FWAs transferred onto the paper surface. After surface sizing and preconditioning, the paper was evaluated for CIE whiteness, ISO brightness, fluorescence index, and reflectance at 440 nm using an Elrepho spectrophotometer. The CIE whiteness and the ISO brightness increased linearly as FWA content increased. The fluorescence index and the reflectance showed linear relationships with T-FWA and H-FWA. Linear regression equations were determined for the quantitative analysis of FWAs used for surface treatments.
