"A diachronic study on the decodification and combination of contemporary dance” aimed to reveal the combination structure of dance and society based on the decodification of dance implying the individual piety breaking away from un- conscious dance code inherited through learning after viewing the dance formed in the current decentralized/delocalized society as contemporary dance, and then drew conclusions as follows. The factor of forming the decodified dance is fluidity. The fluidity of dance that becomes expression of individual thinking as a subject of expression is not only influence given in the concrete decision-making process, but also identity that motivates the combination between dance and society. As a benefit given to members of society, the contemporary decodified dance depending on individual’s identity is continued through accessibility to society and group by voluntary participation, and communication with others. The voluntary participation in contemporary dance that is divided and exist- ing in reality, controls the flow and direction of decodified dance with the function in which each individual identity fairly exists in the axiomatic system of society.

Study on the Thermal and Electrical Conductivity Properties of Titanium-sputtered Materials

Titanium exhibits substantial corrosion resistance, strength, and ductility, with a specific gravity of approximately 4.5 and a melting point of approximately 1800°C. It is currently used in aircraft parts and space development. This study considered the thermal characteristics, stealth effects of infrared thermal imaging cameras, electromagnetic shielding, and electrical conductivity of Ti-sputtered materials. Base materials of different densities and types were treated using titanium sputtering. Infrared thermal imaging showed a better stealth effect when the titanium layer was directed toward the outside. The film sample presented a better stealth effect than the fabrics did. In each of the samples subjected to titanium sputtering, when the titanium layer was directed outward, the untreated sample or exposed titanium layer showed surface temperatures lower than those of the samples with the titanium layer oriented toward the heat source. Additionally, after the titanium sputtering treatment, the films conducted electricity (low resistance) better than the fabrics did. All titanium-sputtered specimens presented reduced electromagnetic wave transmission and significantly reduced infrared transmission. These results are expected to apply to military uniforms (soldiers' protective clothing to gain the upper hand on the battlefield), medical sensors, multifunctional intelligent textiles and etc.

This study explores the functions of dance in the close community structure which is the result of each individual’s decision and selective behavior for autonomous participation in dance. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The close community dance is the experience of moving from each one’s world towards the community world, and the dance as an expression of one’s thinking and mind at that time is eventually the self-expression technique. In the process of understanding oneself and others, the perception of self-expression ability and social imagination of observation and ‘taking the role of the others’ is self-awareness in community dance. And in community dance, the self is realized into originality and identity. The identity realized through acts is expressed into dance acts in the structure that shows self-control and belief emphasizing the independent individual with certain characteristics beyond oneself who is doing something now. Community dance as the expression of independent individuals’ thinking, is the dance of structure where the meanings are expressed in the place (community where other thinking, originality, and identity are communicated) for discussion and argument. Community dance is the dance of re-education structure through institutional approach to provide benefits to everyone regarding the issue of unequal opportunity of education in the society where the ‘voluntary management’ of educational opportunity or self-directed leaning ability is emphasized.

구리 스퍼터링 의류소재의 전기전도성과 스텔스 특성 - 의류소재 기공 크기 변화를 중심으로 -

This research studied the electrical characteristics, IR transmission characteristics, stealth functions, and thermal characteristics of infrared thermal-imaging cameras of copper-sputtered samples. Nylon samples were prepared for each density as a base material for copper-sputtering treatment. Copper-sputtered NFi, NM1, NM2, NM3, NM4, and NM5, showed electrical resistance of 0.8, 445.7, 80.7, 29.7, 0.3, and 2.2 Ω, respectively, all of which are very low values; for the mesh sample, the lower the density, the lower the electrical resistance. Measuring the IR transmittance showed that the infrared transmittance of the copper-sputtered samples was significantly reduced compared to the untreated sample. Compared to the untreated samples, the transmittance went from 92.0–64.1%. When copper sputtered surface was directed to the IR irradiator, the IR transmittance went from 73.5 to 43.8%. As the density of the sample increased, the transmittance tended to decreased. After the infrared thermal imaging, the absolute values of △R, △G, and △B of the copper phase increased from 2 to 167, 98 to 192, and 7 to 118, respectively, and the closer the density of the sample (NM5→NFi), the larger the absolute value. This proves that the dense copper phase-up sample has a stealth effect on the infrared thermal imaging camera. It is believed that the copper-sputtered nylon samples produced in this study have applications in multifunctional uniforms, bio-signal detection sensors, stage costumes, etc.

The dance curriculum(major) education chooses the educational content following the academic value of dance, and the educational content realizes the academic value through the curriculum system. For the realization of academic value of dance, this study presented the concept through the value of contemporary dance major (curriculum) education by connecting the content of dance curriculum and curriculum educational system, and the results of this study were drawn as follows. Firstly, the dance education, that prescribes body as the subject of perception and the sensed cognition as spirituality, should be based on the content of self-consciousness through the formation of self-awareness and self-esteem in the system of introspection and voluntary participation. Secondly, the social concerned dance of empathy and consideration should be based on the content including the process of discovering the essence of social problems in the macroscopic perspective and chances to experience various values with the empathy through cultural contact in each region in the system of observation and divergent thinking. Thirdly, in the human-centered dance that requests the elaborate representation that excludes nobody in society with inherent anxiety, the technology should provide the value of security as a hidden assistant based on the content of organic convergence with communication media in the organic connection system of electronic/ digital media.

From the 1950s to the year of 1978 before Korean Dance Festival was born, most of the creative works of dance were irrelevant to the society that it is difficult to classify certain performing works with social or historical issues. Meditation on human nature was a mainstream without any meaning of the times' situations more than a mere background. Eastern way of thought which tends to find out causes of value violation, anomie, and disorder from man's self rather than from the society or outer world exerted certain influences upon even the artistic spirits, and thus goals of creation were rather viased to mental tranquility than to objectification of the relation between man and society. From the division of this country, anti-Communist ideology given priority to nationalism began to form an environment suppressing individual's freedom of thought, and accordingly prevalence of red complex and nihilistic thinking generalized people's indifference to society. Since then, works of art mostly were self-scornful or sorrowful in which poetic contents were partly mixed with national emotions. Because the generation which experienced indiscriminate inflow of American pop culture through U.S. troops stationed in Korea had a somewhat negative understanding about the multitude, dance as a performing art was partial to artistry and almost had no concern for development of popular dance or pop culture, and consequently this made creative performing dances could not narrow the distance between them and the general public even after confronting the age of the masses born from the economical growth. Under the social atmosphere emphasizing the very Korean upon every ideological principles to maintain the dictator hip of that time, dances borrowed their motives from old stories or fairy tales bega to be made with very Korean colors, and this phenomenon brought out disputes upon the concept of very Korean. And since introduction of American-style educational system resulted in the generalization of Korean people's view of America as the center of the world, influence of American thinking upon academic field not to speak or artistic realm was almost one-sided, thus set up ambiguous classifications about ballet, Modern dance and Korean dance from which some available technics or principles of movement began to be applied to every kinds of work.
