The installation of the photovoltaic module mainly depends on the constructors' experience and estimation. When it is installed in exisiting construction field, the construction process and structural stability of installation system are not adequately considered. Also, We need the sufficient studies on structural stability in the respect of load condition and installment situation. Therefore, this study evaluates the structural capacity of the connections through the structural experiment under various variables.

General truss systems use the welded joints for the connections. The welded joints have weak points like construction error and difficulty of constructability. Therefore, this study develops the truss system for roof structure using bolted connections in the various joints. Also, we perform the several experiments for the safety evaluation of joint connections and evaluate the results for the security of bearing capacity of truss system.
L-system 모델을 이용한 대공간 구조물의 형태생성 방안

본 연구에서는 morphogenesis 기법의 L-system 모델을 사용하여 대공간 구조물의 형태 생성 방안을 제공하고자 한다. 이와 같은 L-system 모델은 일반적으로 식물의 성장 과정을 시각화하기 위해 적용되어 왔으나 본 연구는 이를 건축 분야에 적용하기 위한 프로세스가 제안된다. L-system 모텔은 크게 문자열 생성 단계와 문자열 분석 단계로 구성되어 있다. 문자열 생성 단계에서는 초기문자열로부터 최종 문자열을 생생하며, 문자열을 생성하기 위해서는 alphabet, axiom 및 rule에 대한 정의가 필요하다. 또한 문자열 해석 단계에서는 문자열의 의미 부여에 따라 다양하게 해석될 수 있다. 특히 다양한 적용 예제를 통해 대공간 구조물의 형태 생성 모델을 구현한다. This study presents the shape creation process using L-system model of morphogenesis technique. In general, L-system model has been applied to represent the visualization of biological plant. But, this study proposes the shape generation process of L-system model to apply the architectural field. The L-system model consists of two parts such as string generation step and string analysis step. The string generation step shows the process for a string rewriting. This step requires alphabet, axiom and rules to generate a string. Also, the string analysis step gives the meaning in string to generate various forms. Especially, through the various application examples, we can find out the shape creation models for the space structures.

This study evaluates the structural performance for fortress slope variation according to local damage. To this end, this study analyzes the fortress construction types and then performs the structural modelling and analysis through discrete element method. Especially, through the analysis results, the structural performance is performed by the evaluation of slope variation under local damage consideration.
Morphogenesis 기법을 이용한 구조물의 패턴생성 및 최적대안 평가

This study presents the pattern and shape generation process using morphogenesis technique. The process consists of three parts: pattern creation module, stiffness optimization module and size optimization module. The pattern creation module generates the various patterns and shapes using cellular automata model of morphogenesis technique, and the stiffness optimization module finds out the structural shape with maximum stiffness by minimizing the compliance subject to the target weight constraints. Also, the size optimization module is performed to obtain the structure with minimum weight subject to the target displacement based on the results of stiffness optimization. From the results through the application example, we can find out the optimal pattern shape and alternative by the selection of reasonable rule pattern. Therefore, the proposed optimal shape generation process using morphogenesis and cellular automata can provide the efficient initial shape design data and evaluate the optimal alternative of structure.

This study is to present the optimal initial shape of cantilever type steel structure using topology optimization technique. To this end, this study finds out the initial optimum layout of cantilever type steel structure by using the topology optimization for unit structural model, and then decides the final optimal shape by using the size optimization for the total structure combined with several unit models.

Recently, the interests in space frame structures are increasing. Therefore, various techniques are applied for the shape generation of space frame structure. But, a lot of time and efforts are required due to repetitive shape design and optimum design. To this end, this study presents the process about shape generation of arch type space frame structure using topology and morphogenesis techniques, and verifies the results through several examples.
