The aim of the research is evaluating a fundamental properties of mortar with atomized molten slag to develop a hardener for dry soil paving concrete. According to the analyzing results, comparing OPC, more favorable strength characteristics were obtained, while it showed rapid setting when the mixture contained more than 10 %. Therefore, when the atomized molten slag is used as a hardener, appropriate retarding process is needed.

In this study, the characteristics of the Mock-up test were reviewed to analyze the applicability of the coal gasification slag (CGS) from the integrated gasification combination Cycle (IGCC) to the concrete fine aggregate. The analysis shows that CGS and crushed sand mix is the best combination of CGS combined with about 50 % of CGS based on the effects of promoting liquidity and strength. This is expected to be a positive factor in securing the strength and flexibility of concrete given the optimal mix of CGS, and may also contribute to the improvement of quality.

In this study, the mechanical properties of concrete incorporating blast furnace slag with 60 % were analyzed according to CBS-Dust replacement rate. Results indicate that replacement of more than 10 % of CBS-Dust have a positive effect on reducing waste disposal costs and strength improvement

This study is a basic review of the basic characteristics of mortar as a result of the use of concrete as a fine aggregate for CGS(coal gasification slag) generated from the IGCC(integrated gasification combined cycle). The analysis shows that CGS and crushed sand + seal sand mix is the best combination of CGS combined with about 75 % of CGS based on the effects of promoting liquidity and strength. This is expected to be a positive factor in securing the strength and flexibility of concrete given the optimal mix of CGS, and may also contribute to the improvement of quality.

In this study, in order to find new uses for CBS dust, the chemical components of CBS dust were analyzed and effectively proposed a method. Chemical analysis shows that CBS dust contains a large amount of alkali in addition to chloride therefore, if CBS dust is used for secondary concrete products that use high amounts of mixed materials without rebars, it will be found that it can be used effectively for enhancing strength by active alkali.
