국내의 완성차 업계에서 전기자동차 개발이 어느 정도 진척되어있는 현 시점에서 개발을 더욱 가속화시키고 상용화로 접근하기 위해서는 관련기관들의 유기적인 인프라(Infrastructure) 구축과 효율적 상호공조가 절실히 요구된다. 본 글에서는 활발한 보급시책을 펴고 있는 선진국들의 전기 자동차(EV) 관련기관들의 기술적인 측면보다는 시범운행의 관점에서 고려한 인프라 구축 현황을 둘러보고 이와 비교하여 국내에서의 개발방향 등을 논의하고자 한다.
유류오염 토양/지하수 정화를 위해 개발된 DSB(Deep-Site Biopile) System 현장적용특성

본 논문은 유류로 오염된 부지를 DSB(Deep-site Biopile) system을 이용하여 정화함으로써 적용 가능한 현장특성을 평가하기 위한 것이다. 오염부지는 유류가 유출되어 깊이 약 2.5 m 부근에 위치하는 지하수의 흐름에 띠라 광범위하게 오염(총 $7,201m^3$) 되어 있었으며, 투수성이 좋은 Sand층으로 구성되어 있다. 부지 내 설치된 배관은 각 지점마다 독립적으로 제어될 수 있도록 하였으며, DSB system의 가동은 24시간을 기준으로 30분 가동/30분 정지되도록 하였다. 오염부지 내 오염원이 저감되는 현황을 파악하기 위하여 DSB system 가동시간에 따른 시료채취 작업을 수행한 결과, DSB system 가동 후 약 30여일 만에 총석유계탄화수소 및 BTEX 오염원이 약 50% 이상 저감되었으며 약 165일이 경과한 후에는 토양오염 확인기준 이하로 저감되어 정화작업이 정상적으로 완료되었다. 이와 같이 본 DSB system은 기존에 적용되어 왔던 생물학적 공법들과는 달리 높은 농도의 유류화합물로 오염되어 있는 토양 및 지하수를 약 6개월의 단기간에 효과적으로 처리할 수 있었으며 정화 system을 지상이 아닌 지중에 설치함으로써 별도의 부지가 확보되지 않은 경우에도 적용할 수 있는 특성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. The aim of this article is to assess the application characteristics of the site by remediating oil-contaminated area using DSB (Deep-site Biopile) system. In the contaminated area, the soil was composed of penetrable sand and the leaked oil was spread widely (total 7,201 cubic meters) through 2.5 meter deep underground water flow. DSB system was operated for 30 minutes intervals for 24 hours in a day (30 minutes opεration and 30 minutes stop). To check contamination level change in the contaminated area after DSB system was operated, samples were taken. The result from the site shows that BTEX/TPH contamination level was dropped 50% after 30-day operation of DSB system, and that contamination level was dropped below contamination level check standard after 165 days and the remediation was completed. Unlike traditional biological remediation methods DSB system could efficiently process soil and water which were contaminated by high levels of oil compounds.
A Study on Students' Understanding of Appropriate Technology

This paper aims to explore, as a research on education for appropriate technology, how middle and high school students in Korea understand the characteristics of appropriate technology, which is not value-neutral, but directed towards environmental protection and local sustainable development. To this end, as part of an education programme for appropriate technology, a specific activity of evaluating appropriate technology was developed, where participating students took time to learn about the major features of four appropriate technologies such as renewable energy and energy-efficient ones, and try to use them so as to better understand those features. They then evaluated each technology using the technology evaluation card which was developed particularly for this research. Completing the evaluating activity, most of the participating students responded that they could understand the meaning of each evaluation criterion easily and the activity was helpful in their understanding the characteristics of appropriate technologies. Analyzing the evaluation results, it can be found that the participating students viewed the appropriate technologies largely from three perspectives: usefulness, economic, and environmental ones. It is also noted that some of the appropriate technologies were given less scores from economic perspectives while fulfilling usefulness and environmental requirements. It is finally recommended through this research that an education for appropriate technology need to be more effectively developed from the three perspectives so as to help middle and high school students to better understand the characteristics of appropriate technology, thereby applying and developing them practically.

On February 5 and 6, 2022, North Korea broadcasted the <Celebration Performance for the Traditional New Year’s Day> through the 『Chosun Joongang TV』. The newly appeared State Affairs Commission Concert Party performed instead of the Moranbong Band, which represents the Kim Jong-un era. It shows changes in the North Korean performance community. Kim Jong-un and Lee Seol-ju attended the 2022 <Celebration Performance for the Traditional New Year’s Day>. The North Korean government puts forward this performance, attended by its supreme leader. It is meaningful to analyze the <Celebration Performance for the Traditional New Year’s Day> given on the biggest traditional holiday of North Korea, the Lunar New Year’s Day. As it was the first performance of the new year, it may be possible to catch the message of the Party that the North Korean authority tried to convey through this performance. Hence, analyzing this performance can accurately reveal what North Korea is interested in and what North Korea demands from its people. Therefore, this paper analyzed the <Celebration Performance for the Traditional New Year’s Day>, broadcasted through the 『Chosun Joongang TV』on February 5 and 6, 2022.
