공기 전색증 고양이에서 Norepinephrine, Isoproterenol, Nitroglycerin 이 혈역학 및 혈액가스분석치의 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 비교

The effects of Norepinephrine (NE), Isoproterenol (ISO) and Nitroglycerin (NTG) on the hemodynamic, arterial and venous blood gas analysis changes in air embolized cats were investigated. Under general anesthesia with Halothane, cats were injected 1 mg/kg of air acutely to decrease mean arterial pressure (MAP) about 30 to 40 percent of control value through superior vena cava. 14 cats were divided into two groups of 7 each (group 1 and 2). group 1 cats received NE and then NE with NTG therapies. IN group 2, ISO and then ISO with NTG therapies were taken. The results were as follows: 1) Hemodynamic changes Group 1: NE increased the MAP from 69±8 mmHg (mean±SD) to 116±14 mmHg (p<0.05), decreased the right atrial pressure (RAP) from 18±4 mmHg to 11±3 mmHg (p<0.05). Combined therapy with NTG decreased the MAP from 116±14 mmHg to 101±10mmHg(p<0.05), the HR from 167±16 beats/min(bpm) to 150±4 bpm (p<0.05), the RAP from 11±3 mmHg to 8±3 mmHg (p<0.05). Group 2: ISO increased the MAP from 81±8 mmHg to 112±14mmHg (p<0.05), and the HR from 152±21 bpm to 190±24bpm (p<0.05). Combined therapy with NTG decreased the HR from 190±24 bpm to 174±19 bpm (p<0.05), the CVP from 14±7 mmHg to 14±3 mmHg (p<0.05), and the RAP from 13±3 mmHg to 12±3 mmHg (p<0.05). 2) Blood gas analysis changes Groiup 1 : NE with NTG combined therapy incrased the arterial oxygen tension from 335±54 mmHg to 372±49 mmHg, decreased the venous CO_2 tension from 52±9 mmHg to 47±4 mmHg. Group 2 : ISO with NTG combined therapy increased the arterial oxygen tension from 344±85 mmHg to 375±50mmHg (p<0.05). (Paired t-test, p<0.05). In conclusion, NE and ISO increased MAP in venous air embolism with mopderately decreased MAP. Inotropic agent with NTG therapy improved arterial oxygenation.

A ceramic articulating system in total hip replacement thought to be superior to metal-on-polyethylene due to its extremely low coefficient of friction and potential for high resistance to wear. But ceramic is brittle, which makes it mechanically and theoretically susceptible to fracture under certain mechanical conditions. In the current study, nine different models of ceramic ball heads were mechanically evaluated using 3D finite element(FE) analyses. It was found that the maximum stress in all ceramic models was lower than ceramic flexural strength, and it satisfied the requirements of the FDA Gaudience for artificial hip implant. Thus, ceramic ball head models introduced in the current study could be mechanically safe for clinical applications.

Effects of nitroglycerin (NTC), adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and sodium nitroprusside (SNP) on the hemodynamic and blood gas analysis changes epinephrine (EPI) infusion is air embolized cats were investigated. Under the general anesthesia with pentobarbital and vecuronium cats were given 2~2.5 ml/kg of air via internal jugular vein and were resuscitated with EPI bolus injection. Thirty two cats were divided into 4 groups of 8 each. Each 4 groups, were administered saline (group1), NTG (group 2), ATP (group 3) and SNP (group 4) with EPI continuous infusion, respectively. The air shadow in the heart of cats was visualized C-arm image intensifier throught the study and all three vasodilators augmented the removal of air from the heart on C-arm image. All three vasodilators therapy groups produced statistically significant decrease in rate pressure product (p$lt;0.05) but only NTG therapy group decreased heart rate (p$lt;0.05). Central venous pressure were decreased in all three vasodilators therapy groups but only NTG therapy group was statistically significant (p$lt;0.05). Only NTG therapy group increased both arterial (p$lt;0.05) and venous oxgenation. These results indicate that NTG therapy group produced more prominant hemodynamic and blood oxygenation improvement than the other three groups. It is concluded that NTG with vasopressor therapy coude be recommended in venous air embolism.
Contributions of Public Investment to Economic Growth and Productivity

Whereas a large variety of previous studies show mixed results regarding the relationship between public investment and economic outcome, several studies have been conducted on related issues in Korea. The present study deals with the effect of public investment in Korea on economic growth and productivity. Using administrative data, it exploits three different methodologies: the total factor productivity approach, production function approach, and stochastic frontier production function approach. The results of this study show that public investment has a statistically significant effect on economic growth. However, it contributes little to enhance productivity. It is explained that there exists inefficiency of production in the Korean economy. These findings indicate that public investment has played a central role in the direct input factor and not in indirect role in Korea. Thus, it is necessary for public investment policies to concentrate on enhancing the efficiency of the Korean economy.

A 42-year-old woman who has had the past history of heart failure due to the congestive cardiomyopathy, was scheduled to he taken abdominal hysterectomy. Preoperative electrocardiography showed complete Left Bundle Branch Block(LBBB) without any subjective symptom. The anesthetic managements, pre- and post-operative, as well as intra-operative, were satisfactory.

Background: The introduction of new living modified (LM) crops may pose a latent threat to the biodiversity of each country. Here, we used sunflowers (Helianthus annuus L.) as a study system to investigate the potential for invasiveness of LM crops under different environmental conditions when released into a natural ecosystem in South Korea. We examined the seed germination, survival, and flowering of sunflowers under competition with wild plants at different sowing dates (March–December) and plot sizes (1 m × 1 m and 2 m × 2 m). Results: The germination rate showed a significant difference according to the sowing date. In addition, several sunflowers survived in plots with a high germination rate, which also led to a higher flowering rate. We found that the smaller the plot, the smaller the area available for inter-species competition, and the higher the number of surviving sunflower plants. The relative dominance and importance value of the species varied significantly between the sowing dates; in particular, sunflowers sown in March could compete with wild plants for longer than those sown on other sowing dates. Conclusions: These observations indicate that the potential for invasiveness of sunflowers differs depending on the environmental conditions and seed density at the time of release.
비탈분극성근이완제의 복합투여에 의한 Priming Principle 의 효과에 관한 연구

비탈분극성근이완제의 단독 및 복합투여에 의한 priming principle의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 환자 60명을 15명씩 네군으로 분류비교 하였다. 제 1군은 pancuronium을 0.1 mg/kg. 제 2군은 pancuronium 0.03 mg/kg 과 d-tubocurarine 0.18 mg/kg, 제 3군은 vecuronium 을 0.1mg/kg, 제 4군은 vecuronium 0.04mg/kg과 d-tubocurarine 0.18 mg/kg을 분할 정주 하여 초회량투여후의 임상증상, 삽관량투여후의 60초��의 삽관조건, 삽관량투여후 Train Of Four(TOF) 중 첫번째 반응의 높이(ㅆ1)가 0%로 될 때 까지의 시간 그리고 삽관량후의 혈역학적 변화를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 작용발현시간은 제 3군에서 111±5초로 네군 중 가장 빨랐으며 다음제 4군으로 122±7초 이였고, 제2군은 131±11초, 제 1군에서는 147±11초 이었다. 삽관량투여후의 60초때의 삽관조건은 네군 모두 비슷하였으며 삽관이 불가능한 환자는 없었다. 평균동맥압의 변화ㅡㄹ 보면 제1군은 95±2mmHg에서 100±7mmHg로, 제2군은 94±4mmHg 에서 93.6 mmHg로, 제 3군은 99±2 mmHg에서 111±4 mmHg로 제4군은 103±4 mmHg에서 110±4mmHg로 유의한 증가는 제 1, 3, 4군에서 보였다(p<0.05).심박수의 변화를 보면 제1군은 분당 100±4 회에서 분당 122±4회로, 제2군은 94±4회로 제3군은 분당 99±6회 에서 분당 114±9회로, 제4군은 분당 94±8회에서 분당 106±4회로 유의한 증가는 제1, 3군에서 보였다 (ㅔ<0.05). 근이완제의 복합투여가 단독투여에 비하여 짧은 작용발현시간을 보이지 않았으나 삽관시 심혈관계의 안정성은 단독투여시 보다 높았다. 본 연구들 통하여 pancuronium과 d-tubocurarine의 복합제와 vecuronium과 d-tubocurarine의 복합제에 의한 분할투여가 vecuronium이나 pancuronium의 단독투여에 ㅢ한 priming principle를 대신할 수 있는 방법이라고 사료된다.
