Electric motorcycle undergo vehicle test to ensure proper performance of the motor and controller under various driving conditions. In the development process, considerable time is required for vehicle production, so predicting the cooling performance of the vehicle through feasibility test in advance can be very helpful in understanding its driving performance. This paper aims to introduce a study on predicting the cooling performance of a 15kW-class electric motorcycle in advance and verifying the vehicles performance comparison.

In a low-temperature environment, the electrolyte that helps the movement of lithium ions hardens in a battery, and the resulting increase in internal resistance lowers the batterys efficiency. This directly affects the mileage of the electric two-wheeled vehicle in winter. In this paper, we would like to introduce the results of research on the increase in mileage of electric two-wheeled vehicles through use of waste heat generated from vehicles and battery heating.
