In this paper, we study a family of continuous bivariate distributions that possesses the negative quadrant dependence property and the generalized negatively quadrant dependent F-G-M copula. In this paper, we study a family of continuous bivariate distributions that possesses the negative quadrant dependence property and the generalized negatively quadrant dependent F-G-M copula. We also develop the partial ordering of this new parametric family of negative quadrant dependent distributions.

The Palatal masticatory mucosa was widely used as a donor site in periodontal and implant surgery. but there were relatively few studies investigating the thickness of the palatal mucosa in dentate subjects. The purpose of this study was to study the thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa in korean subjects by direct clinical technique. Forty systemically and periodontally healthy subjects(20 males:20 females) participated in this study. A bone sounding method using a periodontal probe with minimal anesthesia and a prepared clear acrylic stent was utilized to assess the thickness of palatal mucosa at 24 measurement points defined according to the gingival margin and mid palatal suture. The results are as follows; 1. Mean thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa was $3.5{\pm}0.4mm$. and no gender differences were identified in the thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa. 2. The thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa increased from canine to second molar area(with the exception of the first molar area). canine and first molar areas were significantly thinner than other areas(P<0.05). 3. The thickness of palatal masticatory mucosa significantly increased in the sites farther from the gingival margin towarding the mid-palate(P<0.05). The results suggest that within the limits of the present study, premolar area appears to be the most appropriate donor site for soft tissue grafting procedures.

This study has analysed the process and KSFs of entry to Japanese Wi-Max device market by Korean manufacturer of Wi-Max device, Modacom and Japanese strategic alliance partner, Shinsei Corporation, a trading company specialized in IT products. Modacom had experienced the risk of obsolescence of its Wi-Max products when Korean Wi-Max communication service market have failed to grow to the expected size and speed. With substantial amount of R&D resources invested already, Modacom turned their attention to Japanese market based on the judgment that Wi-Max communication service will be commercially launched in Japan. To compliment its relatively weak local market-sensing capability and marketing management capability, common problems with mid-sized companies trying to enter a foreign market, Modacom have chosen Shinsei Corporation as its strategic alliance partner. A successful strategic alliance between two companies has brought a surprising 80% M/S in Japanese market. The KSFs in this successful market entry could be attributed to a synergy created by Modacom’s technology and design capabilities and Shinsei Corporation’s marketing capability. Modacom is trying to extend its market presence in China, USA, India and Malaysia based on its success experiences in Japan. Modacom case could be used as a new model for market entry strategy to Japanese market for domestic mid-sized IT companies with high level of technology but not with marketing capability in local market.

In Jeju, on January 23, 2016, a cold surge accompanied by heavy snowfall with the most significant amount of 12 cm was the highest record in 32 years. During this period, the temperature of 850 hPa in January was the lowest in 2016. Notably, in 2016, the average surface temperature of January on the Polar cap was the highest since 1991, and 500 hPa geopotential height also showed the highest value. With this condition, the polar vortex in the northern hemisphere meandered and expanded into the subtropics regionally, covering the Korean Peninsula with very high potential vorticity up to 7 Potential Vorticity Unit. As a result, the strong cold advection, mostly driven by a northerly wind, around the Korean Peninsula occurred at over 2𝜎. Previous studies have not addressed this extreme synoptic condition linked to polar vortex expansion due to the unprecedented Arctic warming. We suggest that the occurrence of a strong Ural blocking event after the abrupt warming of the Barents/Karas seas is a major cause of unusually strong cold advection. With a specified mesoscale model simulation with SST (Sea Surface Temperature), we also show that the warmer SST condition near the Korean Peninsula contributed to the heavy snowfall event on Jeju Island.

오늘날 인터넷과 같은 IT 정보기술과 물류배송 시스템이 발달하면서 세계를 하나로 연결하는 글로벌 전자상거래가 활성화되어 가고 있으며, 이러한 결과로 인해 어떠한 나라나 지역의 소비자들도 인터넷을 이용하여 자신이 원하는 상품을 누구나 손쉽게 구매할 수 있는 환경이 되어 가고 있다. 우리나라 온라인쇼핑업체들도 이러한 환경변화에 능동적으로 대처하기 위해서는 해외의 유명한 온라인쇼핑몰에 입점하여 판매기회를 극대화하는 것은 물론, 해외 소비자들의 구매력을 높이기 위한 다양한 서비스 활동을 전개해 나갈 필요성이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 온라인쇼핑업체들이 글로벌 시장에서 경쟁력을 높여 나가기 위해서 집객, 상품 설명, 결제, 상품 재고, 배송, A/S와 같은 가치사슬 과정에 초점을 맞춰서, 각 단계별로 가치를 극대화시킬 수 있는 방안들이 무엇인지를 분석하기 위한 목적으로 해외 온라인쇼핑 참여업체들을 대상으로 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였다. 이러한 가치사슬 과정별 분석을 바탕으로 그에 대한 문제점 및 전략적인 대안들을 도출하였다. 단, 이러한 전략적인 대안들을 추진하는데 있어서 해당 온라인쇼핑업체들의 참여와 투자도 요구되지만 무엇보다도 정부의 지원이 함께 이루어짐으로써, 우리나라 온라인쇼핑업체들의 글로벌 경쟁력이 소기의 성과를 달성할 수 있을 것이다. The advances of IT and physical distribution system has ushered in a new global e-commerce environment where consumers around the world can purchase anything they want from every country with just a click. Online shopping companies in Korea are needed to cope with this environmental change by joining with online shopping malls with global presence to serve foreign consumers. The author performed a series of interviews with Korean online shopping companies which joined with global online shopping malls on the components of value chain such as customer acquisition, promotion, payment, stock management, distribution and warranties to figure out value maximization strategies for each steps of the value chain. To secure global competitiveness for internationalized Korean online shopping companies, not only commitment of the companies but also support from the government are required.
