Normally, material of filler neck is made with carbon steel, plastic and stainless so that it causes problems like weight gain and lack of durability. To being solve the problems, I suggest to develop filler neck made with aluminum which is environment-friendly recyclable material. However, according to character of aluminum, it can be caused welding faulty or thermal strain during welding. For solving these problems, aluminum fuel filler neck should be developed by the laser welding which is drawing the best designed value and high qualified welding and speeded welding. It has to consider the applicability via prototype testing. This thesis was achieved mechanism design skill and manufacture skill by performance about fuel filler neck development with laser welding. Based on this performance, it will improve auto’s light weight and recycling and cut down on expenses for the next auto. It is expected to contribute that it makes auto parts manufacturers get a competitive price, high quality, efficiency, productivity.
