        체중이 180~220g 되는 Sprague-Dawley계 암컷렛드 20마리를 대조군과 식이제한군으로 나누었다. 대조군은 전 실험기간 임의로 섭취시켰고, 식이제한군은 임신중에는 임의로 섭취시켰고 수유 3주동안 1일 30g의 사료를 주었다. 생후 3주에 새끼쥐들을 어미쥐로부터 분리시켰으며, 이후 4주동안 임의로 섭취시켰다. 각 군에서 생후 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7주에 새끼쥐의 체중, 뇌무게, 뇌의 DNA, protein, phospholid cholesterol함량을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 새끼랫드의 체중은 생후 1,2,3주에 두 군간에 매우 유의적인 차이 (P<0.01)를 보였고, 식이회복 초기인 생후 5주까지 그 차이가 지속되었으나, 후기에는 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 뇌무게는 생후 2,3,7주에 매우 유의적인 차이 (p<0.01)를 나타냈다. 뇌의 DNA함량은 생후 2,3주에 유의적인 차이 (p<0.05)를 나타냈으며, 식이회복 후에는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 뇌의 protein함량은 생후 2주부터 두 군 사이에 매우 유의적인 차이 (p<0.01)를 나타냈으며, 그 차이는 식이회복 기간 중에도 나타났다. 뇌의 phospholipid, cholesterol함량은 생후 2,3주에 두 군 사이에 유의적인 차이 (p<0.01)를 나타냈으며, 식이회복 후기인 생후 7주에는 phospholipid만이 유의적인 차이를 나타냈다. 뇌의 무게와 DNA, protein과 DNA, phospholipid와 DNA, cholesterol과 DNA의 비율은 전반적으로 식이제한군이 대조군보다 높게 나타났다. In spite of nutritional rehabilitation after weaning, their contents were not recovered completely. DNA, protein and lipid syntheses in the brains of deficient group were delayed by malnutrition.

        콜린의 결핍과 서로 다른 지방이 2 - Acetylaminofluorene 을 투여한 쥐간의 Glutaghione 의존 효소에 미치는 영향

        Weanling Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed the diet containing either 15% beef tallow or 15% corn oil with or without 0.075% choline chloride for 10 weeks. At 3rd and 5th week, animals were given injection of 2-acetylaminofluorene (AAF) at a dose of 50 ㎎/㎏ body weight twice a week (1st and 3rd day of the week). At 11th week, all animals were decapitated. Microsomal lipid peroxide values, microsomal enzyme activities of glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase), cytosolic enzyme activities of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione S-transferase (GST) were determined. Microsomal lipid peroxide values measured as malondialdehyde (MDA) were increased significantly in choline deficient corn oil group, but not significantly in any other groups. Microsomal G6Pase activities were decreased in corn oil groups compared with beef tallow groups, and choline deficient corn oil group had the lowest value. Cytosolic GSH-Px activities tended to be elevated by choline deficiency in both fat groups. Cytosolic GR activities tended to be decreased by choline deficiency in beef tallow group, but significantly increased in corn oil group. Activities of cytosolic GST were tended to be increased by choline deficiency in both fat groups. All glutathione-dependent enzyme activities were significantly higher in corn oil groups than in beef tallow groups and the highest in choline deficient corn oil group. These results suggest that polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) diet and choline deficiency may increase hepatic microsomal lipid peroxidation. Although lipid peroxidation induces protective enzymes, destruction of membrane integrity is inevitable. When 2 factors were compared on lipid peroxidation, induction of protective enzymes, and destruction of membrane integrity, PUFA diet was more effective than choline deficient diet.

        Linoleic acid 함량과 ω6/ω3 비율이 침수속박 스트레스에 의한 위궤양의 발병에 미치는 영향

        This study was designed to determine the effects of linoleic acid contents and ω6/ω3 ratios on the induction of gastric ulcer by water immersion and restraint stress. Sprague-Dawley rats were fed 5 diets containing 7% fat (w/w) for 6 weeks. These diet groups were Lh, Mh, Hh, Mm, Ml, :3 different linoleic acid levels(0.3% of energy(L), 3.5(M), 10(H)) and 3 different ω6/ω3 ratios(11(l), 33(m), 100(h)) with beef tallow, sunflower or fish oil. The Lh group showed a significantly higher ulcer index (UI) than the Mh and Hh groups(p<0.05). At the same linoleic levels, the UI had no significant difference within the ω6/ω3 ratios. The Mh group showed significantly higher(p<0.05) PGE₂ and TBX₂ content than any other group. Pearson's correlation coefficients between UI and PGE₂ and TBX₂ had a negatively significant correlation(p<0.05). Linoleic acid of gastric mucosal phospholipids was reflected by the diet, but was not significantly different. The most significant finding of this study is that not only the absolute amount of linoleic acid, but also the ω6/ω3 ratios are important factors for the prevention of gastric ulcer.

      • 남녀 대학생 ( 18 ~ 26 세 ) 의 혈청지질수준에 대한 연구

        A nutritional study was undertaken to determine the serum lipid and lipoprotein levels of 202 college students(99 men, 103 women) aged 18 to 26 years. Fasting blood samples were analyzed for serum total cholesterol(TC), HDL-cholesterol(HDL-C) and triglyceride(TG). Mean values of TC, LDL-C, HDL-C and TG were 172.2, 103.4, 52.3 and 82.3 ㎎/㎗ in men and 182.4, 111.6, 56.3 and 72.5 ㎎/㎗ in women, respectively. Serum lipid and lipoprotein levels were significantly lower in men than in women(p$lt;0.05). There was no significant differences in TG level between men and women but the value was slightly higher in men than in women. Mean values of LDL-C/HDL-C ratio and atherogenic index(AI) were 2.1 and 2.4, respectively, in men and women. Between anthtopometric measurements and serum lipid and lipoprotein levels, correlation did not have statistical significance in men and women but heights were negatively correlated with LDL-C (p$lt;0.05) and BMI was positively correlated with TG in men(p$lt;0.05). Cut-off point of TC in men and women in our study for selecting the subject at moderate and high risk for coronary heart disease according to U.S. NIH was 200 ㎎/㎗ at 75th percentile, 220㎎/㎗ at 90th percentile. By the NCEP(national cholesterol education program) classification, risk group of men and women was 20 and 28% in TC, 12 and 21% in LDL-C, 8 and 4% in HDL-C, respectively. It is recomended that serum lipid and lipoprotein levels continue to track from young adulthood into above the age for the preventive and interventional programs aimed at developing healthy life-styles.
