We measured surface tension by means of the capillary rise method. In this experiment, 21 capillary tubes were used, of which the radius of a minimun one was 0.657 ㎜ and the maximun four ones were 0.671 ㎜ ; as the number of articles, the four was greatest. All above tubes were in the range of 0.664±0.007 ㎜ and their standard deviation was 3×10 exp (-3) ∼ 7×10 exp (-3). The various kind of pure alcohol, mixed alcohol and alcohol·mixed alcohol diluted with distilled water to constant concentration (Mole %) were used in this experiment. And their surface tension were lowered according as its temperature increased. Comparing our values of Eo¨tvo¨s coefficient with its literature values, the error of pure alcohols was 0.072±0.027, and in the case of mixed alcohols, 0.085±0.034, the latter hae medium values of the former. Then in gathering molecular weight and gathering degree, which are inverse proportion to molecular weight, methyl alcohol was the greatest one. Comparing our values with literature values in measuring surface tension by means of Parachor, its error was 3.41±0.41 dyne/㎝. And we could confirm causticity of Parachor in the range of the error in surface tension.

안동사 연구회에서 처음 답사를 따라 나갈 때는 마냥 기분이 들떴다. 선배님들과 같이 버스를 타고 임하동을 향했다. 강물과 푸른산을 바라보며 마냥 아름다움을 느끼고 있었을 때 선배님의 내리라는 소리에 나의 기분이 갑자기 깨어졌다. 목적지인 임하에 도착하여 몇 분을 걸어 갔다. 우리들 보다 먼저 도착한 팀은 벌써 탁본을 하고 있었다.

This descriptive-correlational study was undertaken in order to examine if there were relationship between Self-Concept and Health Status in Nursing Students. The subject for this study were 145 Nursing Students from Seoul Health Junior College. The instruments used for this study were the Self-Concept Scale developed by Choi Chung Hun(1972) and Rosenberg(1971) which was composed of 30 items, and Cornell Medical Index(C. M. I.) developed by Brodman and modified by Nam, Ho Chang. C. M. I. is composed of 57 items which is followed by 'yes' or 'no'. A 'yes' means a health problem is present. Analysis of data was performed by use the SPSS computer program: mean, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used. The results of study were as followes : 1. Test of hypothesis: "The higher Self-Concept score, the better Health Status" was accepted.(r=-.2562, p<.0l) 2. The Self-Concept of total students were positively upper middle (mean=91.89, theoretically minimum 30-maximum 120). 3. The Health Status of total students were better lower middle(mean=19.48, theoretically minimum 0-maximum 57). In conclusion, this study revealed that Self-concept is an important factor that can improve Health Status.

고력볼트 인장접합 형신인 Split Tee 접합은 접합부의 효율성과 시공성이 우수하여 유럽등지에서는 중저층의 건축물에 많이 적용되고 있으나 국내에서는 널리 사용되지 않은 상황이다. 이는 고력볼트와 Split Tee를 구성하는 판재의 강성에 따라 지레작용의 효과를 포함하는 보트의 인장 전단파괴와 Split Tee의 송성파괴가 상호작용을 일으켜 해석과 설계가 복잡하다는 점과 시공상의 정밀도 확보가 쉽지 않기 때문이다. Split Tee접합에 관한 연구는 미국, 일본, 유럽등지에서 다양한 방법으로 진행되고 있지만 국내의 경우 아직 초보적 단계에 머물고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통한 Split Tee접합부의 거동, 즉 지레작용의 영향과 그에 따른 반력작용의 특성을 파악하여 Split Tee접합 설계를 하는데 있어 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. Split-tee connection with High Strength Bolts is normally used in low and middle rise buildings in Europe because the structural efficiency and installation work of connections are excellent. However, the domestic situation is different from that in Europe. The analysis and the design for the T-split connection are complicated, because the structural behavior often T-split connection with High Strength Bolt is governed by so many parameters, i.e., prying action, bolt's tension, shear failure and plastic failure of flange plates. Many researches regarding the structural behavior of the split-tee connection have been undertaken in other parts of the world, such as the, Americas, Japan and Europe, but in the domestic context, this is a pioneering study. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to supply basic data for the design of T-split connection, and to verify the structural characteristics that define reactions to prying action, based on an experimental study.
알코올이 노르에피네프린에 의한 혈관 수축에 미치는 영향

Purpose: Norepinephrine (NE) is a neurotransmitter of the sympathetic nervous system. It is used for treating hypotension on distributive shock, central nervous system injury, or sepsis. There are several reports that state that alcohol suppresses vasoconstriction by NE. Thus, our hypothesis is that the effect of NE is reduced in alcohol-drinking patients with distributive shock. We investigated whether alcohol suppresses NE-induced contraction and aimed at finding a solution to this problem. Methods: For this study, we used the aorta from male Sprague-Dawley rats (9-11 weeks) and an isometric contraction system. Results: Our results showed that alcohol suppresses NE contraction and does not affect epinephrine induced a contraction. Moreover, in the presence of alcohol, a 7:3 mixture of NE and epinephrine induced a contractile force similar to that induced by NE under normal conditions. Conclusion: We found that the vasoconstrictive force of NE decreased in the blood vessels in which alcohol was present, which was not because endothelial cells. The reduced contractile force was most similar to that induced by a 7:3 mixture of NE and epinephrine.
