본 연구는 실행연구로서 초등체육에 웹기반 탐구수업이 학생들에게 어떠한 교육적 의의와 효과가 있는지를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있었다. 연구자는 경상북도 M초등학교 5학년 2개 학급 55명을 대상으로, 인터넷, 커뮤니티 및 블로그를 활용한 블랜디드 러닝을 하였다. 이충원 및 강신복(1999)의 체육과 탐구중심 수업모형을 토대로, 평균대 운동과 즉흥 표현 활동에 6주간 12차시를 적용하였다. 연구자의 수업 계획서, 자기평가서 및 수업 일지를 통해서 그리고 연구 참가 학생들의 자기 활동 평가서, 수업 소감문, 설문지 및 면담을 통해서 자료를 수집하였다. 웹기반 탐구 체육 수업의 연구 결과는 첫째, 학생들에게 교사의 시범 이상의 구체적인 운동기술 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있었고 현재의 공간적·시간적 한계를 극복할 수 있었다. 둘째, 웹기반 탐구학습에서 학생들이 신체 표현뿐만 아니라 학습 활동에 주도적인 역할을 하였다. 셋째, 학생들은 운동 기능과 표현 능력이 신장되었고 협동심이 생겼으며 교우관계가 좋아졌다. 웹을 기반으로 한 탐구중심 수업모형을 적용한 블랜디드 러닝은 효율적인 체육 교수·학습 방법의 하나라고 볼 수 있다. The purposes of this research were to explore the processes of action research and analyze the effects of web-based inquiry teaching model in elementary physical education class. The participants consisted of 55 fifth graders in M-elementary located in Gumi city of Kyungpook province. Based on the inquired model of Lee and Kang (1999), the classroom activities such as balance beam and improvisation representation were modified for web-based inquiry teaching model using internet, community, and blog for six weeks. The data were collected using teacher lesson plans, evaluations, and journals, and students`` activity report, reflection on classes, surveys, and interviews. Results indicated that web-based inquiry model in elementary physical education classes provided more concrete information on skill than teacher demonstration, and overcame the limitations of spatial and time in physical education classes. Through web-based inquired model, the students become more self-directed learning activity. Also, students have improved motor skill and expression ability, as well as cooperation and peer relationship. Web-based inquired model through blended learning was effective teaching and learning method in elementary physical education class.
