Early orthodontic treatment in growing children requires the removable orthodontic appliances. The removable orthodontic appliance can be used in the primary dentition and mixed dentition. The purposes of use of removable orthodontic appliance in primary dentition or mixed dentition are the interception of skeletal or dental malocclusion, guiding the normal dentition, and retention after comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Therfore, it is needed to use the removable orthodontic appliance in children with malocclusion. This report presents cases of growing children with skeletal classⅡ and Ⅲ malocclusion treated with removable orthodontic appliance during mixed dentition and Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire(MEAW) during permanent dentition. The results obtained through these cases were summarized as follows: 1. Removable orthodontic appliances guide normal dentition and skeletal growth in growing children. 2. Removable orthodontic appliances play an important role in intercepting malocclusion in mixed dentition before use of fixed orthodontic appliance. 3. MEAW can be applied to finishing stage of all cases and is effective in correction of occlusal plane, achievement of interdigitation, and control of dental inclination. 4. It is needed that removable appliances are used during mixed dentition through correct diagnosis and fixed appliance are used in permanent dentition.

본 연구는 대학도서관 공동보존서고 설립 운영의 중요성을 검토하고 타당성을 논증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 설립 운영의 중요성은 도서관 수장공간, 국가 지식정보관리, 사례분석의 측면에서 검토하였다. 그리고 설립 운영의 타당성은 지구촌 지식정보의 출판 유통, 도서관 관계법령의 법리, 범정부 학술정보관리의 정책, 도서관 수장공간의 현실적 측면에서 논증하였다. 그 결과, 권역별 내지 거점형 공동보존서고의 설립 운영은 중요하고 타당한 것으로 밝혀졌으므로 이를 바탕으로 대학도서관을 위한 공동보존서고 모형을 조속히 개발할 필요가 있다. The goal of this study is to review the importance and to prove the feasibility of establishment and operation of the academic collaborative repositories in Korea. To that end, its importance was analyzed from the sides of collection space of libraries, national management of academic information resources, cases of collaborative repository. And its feasibility was logically proved in terms of the global production and distribution of knowledge and information, library relevant laws, national policies of academic information resources, and actual collection space of academic libraries. As a result, the importances and feasibilities of establishment of the academic collaborative repository were revealed by enough. Accordingly, there is a need to develop immediately the establishment and operation model of the collaborative repository for academic libraries.
광분광기의 노이즈 감소를 위한 암전류에 대한 실험적 고찰

As semiconductor devices become highly integrated and process difficulty increases, the need for highly sensitive sensors that can detect micro leaks is increasing. However, the noise contained in the CCD sensor itself acts as an obstacle to detecting fine leaks. In this study, integration time was changed for each condition, the sensor was cooled to 0°C, and the dark voltage level was measured to confirm through experiment the characteristics of the temporal noise included in the CCD sensor, a component of OES (Optical Emission Spectroscopy). When integration time was reduced from 30msec to 10msec, the dark voltage level decreased by about 20.5 % from an average of 151.5mV to 120.5mV. In the case of cooling device, Peltier elements were selected because of their simple structure and small size. During temperature cooling, the target temperature was controlled to within ±0.5℃ through PID control. When cooled from 20℃ to 0℃ using this cooling device, it was confirmed that the dark voltage level decreased by about 7% from an average of 147.0mV to 137.0mV.

Biological production of 3-HP from glycerol by glycerol dehydratase (GDHt) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) has been discovered to be efficient, showing higher yield and productivity than other metabolic pathways. Still, as the low activity of GDHt and ALDH remained as a major problem of conversion process, it is crucial to engineer these two enzymes for further enhancement. In this study, we performed a directed evolution approach on an ALDH library, particularly aldehyde-binding site library of alpha-ketoglutaric semialdehyde dehydro-genase (KGSADH), using a synthetic selection device based on 3-HP responsive transcription factor to optimize 3-HP production pathway. Only two serial cultures resulted in enrichment of strains showing increased 3-HP production, and an isolated KGSADH variant enzyme exhibited a 2.79-fold higher catalytic efficiency toward its aldehyde substrate than the wild type.
