In this study, alterations in whole proteome expression patterns in the head of Japanesemedaka (Oryzias latipes) was investigated following acute or chronic exposure to benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) (25 μg L-1) for 48 hrs and 15 days, respectively. The results showed that 9 and 6protein spots were statistically different, relative to controls, in response to acute and chronic BaPexposure, respectively. In the acute exposure group, 5 spots were upregulated and 4 spots weredownregulated, while in the chronic exposure group, 4 spots were upregulated and 2 spots weredownregulated. Three of these spots were common to both the acute and chronic BaP exposuregroups and were identified using LC-MS/MS followed by database searching. These 3 spots werefound to be associated with structural proteins belonging to the actin and keratin families. Thesedata suggest that acute and chronic exposures to BaP may affect tissue morphology in the head ofJapanese medaka.

Specific Phosphatase의 조직화학적 국재부위 및 발생과정에 따른 이들 호소의 변이양상을 알아보기 위하여 개량된 Wachstein과 Meisel방법을 발생중인 계배 십이지장에 적용하였다. 그 결과 ATPase와 5'-Nase의 활성은 장융모가 분화함에 따라 장상피의 세포질에서 상피유리연으로 이동하여 마침내 선조연에서 그 활성을 나타내나 G-6-Pase의 활성은 장상피의 세포질에만 국한되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 5'-Nase의 활성이 부화직후에 선조연 뿐만 아니라 고유층에도 존재한다는 사실은 특이하였다. Specific phosphatases activities were investigated by a modified procedure of Wacgstein and Meisel for the correlative examination of the histochemical localization and variation in the developing chick dudenum. The activites of ATPase and 5'-Nase are almost exclusively confined to the striated borders, whereas D-6-Pase activity demomstrated only in the villous and glandular epithelial lining cell at completion of the development. Therefore, the variations of G-6-Pase with that of ATPase and 5'-Nase activity. It was noted that 5'-Nase activity gave somewhat suprising results this enzyme was localized not only in the striated border but also lamina propria.
