The purpose of this paper is to develop an elbow assistive robot that trains upper-limb motor function for hemiplegic patients. The elbow assistive robot was consisted of four modes of passive mode, active-assisted mode, active-resistive mode and mirror therapy mode. Twelve healthy volunteers participated in this study. The reliability assessment and usability test were performed to evaluate the elbow assistive robot using a 3D motion capture system and Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction assistive Technology(QUEST). ROM and velocity was generally accurate as compared to the setting value. then among eight-items of usability test, A comfortability score was a little than other items. To reflect the opinion of the usability test, we will develop a modified elbow assistive robot.
