300㎞/h의 고속으로 운행중인 선로구간에 중간역 설치에 따라 분기기 부설시 기존선로의 레일응력 해소방안이 필요하며 또한 속도제한을 높게 하고 기간을 단축시킬 수 있는 방안을 통해 열차 이용객의 불편을 최소화하여야 한다. 경부고속철도 중간역사 오송, 김천구미역 신설에 따른 분기기 설치는 짧은 야간 차단작업시간(1일 6시간)에 여러 부분으로 나누어 시행하여야 하고 곧바로 고속열차를 운행시켜야 하는 매우 어려운 조건으로서 국내에서는 처음이고 세계적으로도 매우 드문 사례이다. 본 논문에서는 작업조건, 장비, 안전조치 등에 관한 사항을 제시하였다. To install turnout on the main line of high speed railway running 300㎞/h, measures of rail destressing of existing line, speed-up plan, shortening the installation time and other important technical measures should be considered to reduce the inconvenience of passenger. In particular, for the newly constructing Ohsong and Kimcheon-Gumi station in KyongBu high speed line, it must be difficult to install divided turnout part because it should be done within short night block out hours (6 hours per day) and KTX trains are safely serviced just in time, which is not only the first time in the domestic and but also very rare practical experience in the world. This thesis is covered with experienced work conditions, required equipments and various safety measures, etc.

Track geometry changes by traffic loads. The bigger the changes are, the worse the riding comfort and running stability of train. This is so-called track irregularity and is the most important quality parameters of ballasted track. To objectively assess track irregularity, track geometry should be able to be measured. Practically, railway companies use moving chord method, which determine versine values via a chord. The versine is vertical distance to curve measured in the middle of the chord. In this report, reviewed conventional methods for track maintenance using output data of EM-120 track recording car categorized with by single failure, quality index and progress rate. And briefly reviewed technical background of track maintenance threshold and TQI(Track Quality Index) for track irregularity. For the last, proposed effective way of using track irregularity data for track maintenance.

A turnout comprises of complicated components, which results in various structural constraints. As such, it contributes significantly to determining a speed objective for railway system during the passage of a train through a turnout. Thus an intensive review on turnout alignment and its improvements should be conducted at the beginning of the design phase in order to achieve an enhanced permissible speed in diverted track. In particular, I have assessed the impact of the dynamic characteristics of a train such as lateral acceleration, the continuous and discontinuous changes of the lateral acceleration on the turnout alignment.

현재까지 선로용량을 주제로 국내외에서 많은 연구들이 수행되었다. 특히 국내에서는 고속철도 등의 경쟁운영환경에서 선로용량 배분정책 시행을 앞두고 선로용량에 대한 명확한 개념 정립과 정확한 산정방법에 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근에 두드러진 선로용량의 개념 정의 측면에서 문제점을 검토하고 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. Many researchers have presented their work on the railway track capacity. Particularly, many of researchers, engineers and government officers paid attention to this theme at the beginning of competitive operation scheme in the Korean railway. This paper aims at investigating problems and misunderstanding of concepts and definitions on the railway track capacity, then proposing an improvement points to overcome the problems.
