        국내 함티탄 자철광의 아크 용련

        Domestic titaniferrous magnetite ore contains about 20% TiO₂ and 40% Fe. To obtain pig iron and TiO₂-enriched slag suitable for the chlorinator feed to produce metal titanium, pellets made of ground ore, coke and soda ash were smelted in an arc furnace. A series of tests were conducted to determine the effects of smelting temperature and time, ratio of ore to coke, and addition of flux on the TiO₂ content in the slag. The content of TiO₂ in the most enriched slag was 52%. The iron purity in the pig iron was 94.8% and TiO₂ content in the pig iron was less than 0.003%.

        Analysis of Three-Phase Multiple Access with Continual Contention Resolution (TPMA-CCR) forWireless Multi-hop Ad Hoc Networks

        In this paper, a new medium access control (MAC) protocol entitled three-phase multiple access with continual contention resolution (TPMA-CCR) is proposed for wireless multi-hop ad hoc networks. This work is motivated by the previously known threephase multiple access (TPMA) scheme of Hou and Tsai [2] which is the suitable MAC protocol for clustering multi-hop ad hoc networks owing to its beneficial attributes such as easy collision detectible,anonymous acknowledgment (ACK), and simple signaling format for the broadcast-natured networks. The new TPMA-CCR is designed to let all contending nodes participate in contentions for a medium access more aggressively than the original TPMA and with continual resolving procedures as well. Through the systematical performance analysis of the suggested protocol, it is also shown that the maximum throughput of the new protocol is not only superior to the original TPMA, but also improves on the conventional slotted carrier sensemultiple access (CSMA) under certain circumstances. Thus, in terms of performance, TPMA-CCR can provide an attractive alternative to other contention-based MAC protocols for multi-hop ad hoc networks.

        Coal Fly Ash로부터 경량 골재 생산을 위한 소성장치

        국내 석탄 발전소에서 발생하는 Fly ash를 이용한 경량 골재 제조는 환경 보호와 천연 골재 고갈을 동시에 해결할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 건축물의 초고층화는 골재의 경량화를 요구하고 있다. Dwight-Lloyd kiln은 운전이 쉽고 신뢰성이 높아 현재 유일하게 석탄회 소결 골재 상업 생산에 이용되고 있다. 본 고에서는 일본 Oomura 발전소의 Dwight-Lloyd kiln설비에 대해 자세히 설명하였고, 아울러 현재 개발 단계인 Circular grate kiln, Shaft kiln, Rotary kiln 설비에 대해서 개략적으로 소개하였다. In viewpoints of environmental and resource conservation, it is desirable to utilize fly ash generated from domestic coal power stations as light constructive material. Furthermore, the demand of light constructive materials has been increased as many building tend to become highly multistory buildings. In demonstration of converting fly ash to light constructive materials, the Dwight-Lloyd kiln of which the operation is relatively easy and the reliability very high has been informed to be only commercialized plant over the world. In this review, Dwight-Lloyd kiln plant operated at Oomura coal power station in Japan is explained. Circular grate kiln, Shaft kiln, Rotary kiln plants that are under developed is also introduced.

        유가금속(有價金屬) 회수(回收)를 위한 중유회(重油灰)의 연소거동(燃燒擧動)에 관한 연구(硏究)

        중유회를 효율적으로 소각 처리할 수 있는 이동상식 스토카로를 설계, 제작하기 위해 중유회가 노상을 이동하면서 겪는 조건들을 회분식 노에서 모사(模寫)하여 열중량분석법으로 중유회의 소각실험을 수행하였다. 이 결과로부터 이동상식 스토카로의 운전조건 및 노상면적 등을 구하였다. 중유회의 연소과정은 연소속도 차이에 의해 3단계로 구별되며, 각 단계별로 효과적인 연소가 이루어질 수 있도록 해야 한다. 비산방지 및 체적감소를 위하여 소각 전 첨가되는 수분 함량은 20 wt.%가 적절하였다. 중유회의 연소속도는 산소농도에 크게 의존하므로, 소각로는 연소공기의 조절 기능이 필요하다. 저융점 금속화합물의 용착 및 증발을 방지하고, 소각잔사의 불용화 및 유가금속 회수를 위해 소각온도는 $750^{\circ}C{\sim}800^{\circ}C$가 적절하고, 중유회의 균일한 연소반응과 연소속도의 향상을 위해 소각 중 중유회의 교반이 요구된다. 최적 조건에서 단위면적당 소각속도는 $12.53kg/m^{2}hr$이며 1일 18 ton의 중유회를 소각처리하기 위해서는 $60m^2$의 노상면적이 필요하다. To design and construct a moving bed stoker incinerator for incineration treatment of the domestic oil fly ash, operating condition and moving bed area of incinerator were determined by performing incinerate experiment of the oil fly ash in the muffle furnace which simulates moving bed stoker incinerator in all conditions. Incineration process of the oil fly ash could be divided into 3 stages, every stage needs the appropriate operating condition for effective incineration. The optimum content of water in the heavy oil fly ash was found to be 20 wt% to prevent the ash from flying and reduce the volume. Science combustion rate of oil fly ash depends on the oxygen content, the incinerator must have a equipment to control the oxygen content in the combustion air. The optimum temperature was $750{\sim}800^{\circ}C$ in order to prevent adhesion to the stocker and evaporation of metal compounds of low melting point. Uniform combustion reaction and acceleration of combustion rate required agitation during the combustion of oil fly ash. The incineration rate was $12.53kg/m^2hr$ and the working area of moving bed incinerator was found to be $60m^2$ to incinerate 18 tons of oil fly ash per day.

        군 차세대 Ad-hoc 네트워크에서의 TPMA-CCR 프로토콜의 네트워크 최적화

        The Ad-hoc protocol has been studied and developed in the field of the military communication for securing the seamless communication among mobile units. In the TICN (Tactical Information & Communication Network), the next generation military communication system of Korea Military, the TMMR(Tactical Multiband Multirole Radio) can be seen as a part of these efforts to utilize the advantage of Ad-hoc networks for the communication of small battle units. Therefore, in our previous paper [4], TPMA-CCR (Three Phase Multiple Access-Continual Contention Resolution), which is the MAC protocol suitable for Ad-hoc networks, was proposed and proved with mathematical analysis that it has better performance than the existing TPMA(Three Phase Multiple Access) protocol in terms of throughput. However, when designing the new protocol, not only the performance must be considered, but also the network optimization must be considered in the aspect of its feasibility and simplicity. So, in this paper, we describe the methods of the network optimization of TPMA-CCR and TPMA, and compare those method in terms of their feasibility and simplicity with simulation and mathematical analysis.

        안전한 군용 중장비 수송을 위한 차선 및 차량 진행 방향 인식 시스템 개발 - 칼만 필터와 신경망을 기반으로 -

        In military transportation, the use of wide trailer for transporting the large and heavy weight equipments such as tank, armoured vehicle, and mobile gunnery is quite common. So, the vulnerability of causing traffic accidents for these wide military trailer to bump or collide with another car in adjacent lane is very high due to its broad width in excess of its own lane's width. Also, the possibility of these strayed accidents can be increased especially by the careless driver. In this paper, the recognition system of lane and vehicle headway direction is developed to detect the possible collision and warn the driver to prevent the fatal accident. In the system development, Kalman filtering is used first to extract the border of driving lane from the video images supplied by the CCD camera attached to the vehicle and the driving lane detection is completed with regression analysis. Next, the vehicle headway direction is recognized by using neural network scheme with the extracted parameters of the detected driving lane feature. The practical experiments for the developed system are also carried out in the real traffic road of Seoul city area and the results show us the more than 90% accuracy in recognizing the driving lane and vehicle headway direction.

      • 측두하악장애 치료에서 환자교육 및 자가 요법의 방법과 그 역할에 대한 고찰

        In the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, patient education and self-management method are necessary in addition to other specialized treatments to prevent recurrence of symptoms or development of chronic pain. The causes of temporomandibular disorders are very diverse, but in many cases the patients continue to suffer or experience recurrence because of the repeated exposure to micro traumas such as oral parafunctions, bad habits, and harmful eating habits. Much better prognosis is expected if a dental hygienist who is teamed up with a specialist in the dental clinic can perform patient education and management based on the understanding of temporomandibular disorder.

        Necrotizing enterocolitis in newborns: update in pathophysiology and newly emerging therapeutic strategies

        While the survival of extremely premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome has increaseddue to advanced respiratory care in recent years, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) remains the leadingcause of neonatal mortality and morbidity. NEC is more prevalent in lower gestational age and lowerbirth weight groups. It is characterized by various degrees of mucosal or transmural necrosis of theintestine. Its exact pathogenesis remains unclear, but prematurity, enteral feeding, bacterial products,and intestinal ischemia have all been shown to cause activation of the inflammatory cascade, which isknown as the final common pathway of intestinal injury. Awareness of the risk factors for NEC; practicesto reduce the risk, including early trophic feeding with breast milk and following the established feedingguidelines; and administration of probiotics have been shown to reduce the incidence of NEC. Despiteadvancements in the knowledge and understanding of the pathophysiology of NEC, there is currentlyno universal prevention measure for this serious and often fatal disease. Therefore, new potentialtechniques to detect early biomarkers or factors specific to intestinal inflammation, as well as furtherstrategies to prevent the activation of the inflammatory cascade, which is important for diseaseprogression, should be investigated.
