        아주대학교병원 소아치과에서 시행된 전신마취 하 치과치료에 관한 실태조사

        Background: General anesthesia is a necessary method for successful dental treatment for children, compromised patients and the disabled who have difficulty in cooperation. The aim of this study was to assess dental treatment under general anesthesia at the department of pediatric dentistry, Ajou university hospital on children and the disabled. Methods: 217 general anesthesia from June 2010 to June 2014 were assessed for this study. Patient's distribution, treatment pattern, reasons for general anesthesia, distribution of combined operation, duration of anesthesia, treatment, frequency of general anesthesia and agents for general anesthesia were examined. Results: The proportion of male, the disabled were higher and above 19 years age group was the highest. Combined operation with otolaryngology was highest. Main reasons for general anesthesia were mental retardation for the disabled and uncooperative behavior for the non-disabled. Percentage of restorative treatment was the highest. Average anesthesia duration was 186 minutes and average treatment time was 143 minutes. Most of the airway was maintained by nasotracheal intubation and induction was done by sevoflurane. Conclusions: General anesthesia for dental treatment has been increasing for children, the disabled who have a difficulty of cooperation. The demand for dental treatment under general anesthesia is expected to continuously increase. Therefore, continuous research and studies should be done to establish efficiency and safety of general anesthesia and provide an enhanced environment for treatment.

        적콜라비 새싹채소 종자에서 분리한 Escherichia coli strain RC-4-D의 생장예측모델

        본 연구는 시중 유통되고 있는 새싹채소 재배용 적콜라비 종자에서 분리한 E. coli strain RC-4-D의 생장예측모델을 개발하기 위해 수행되었다. 각 온도조건(10, 15, 20, 25, $30^{\circ}C$) 별로 적콜라비 중 E. coli strain RC-4-D 밀도 변화를 조사하였고 Baranyi model을 1차 생장예측모델로 이용하였고 각 온도별로 최대생장률(${\mu}max$)과 $10^{\circ}C$를 제외한 유도기(LPD) 값을 도출하였다. E. coli strain RC-4-D의 최대생장률에 대한 2차 생장예측모델로써 suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root, suboptimal Huang square-root, suboptimal Arrhenius-type 세 종류의 모델을 비교하였다. 모델 적합성 검정 결과, suboptimal Huang square-root 모델이 정확도가 가장 높고 suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root 모델이 편차가 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다. 종합적으로, RMSE가 0.100, $A_f$가 1.255, $B_f$가 0.999인 suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root 모델이 온도의 영향을 설명하는 가장 적합한 2차 생장예측 모델인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 개발한 모델은 적콜라비 새싹채소 생산에 있어서 E. coli의 생장을 예측하고 미생물 위해성평가를 수행하는데 활용될 것으로 기대된다. This study was conducted to develop a predictive model for the growth of Escherichia coli strain RC-4-D isolated from red kohlrabi sprout seeds. We collected E. coli kinetic growth data during red kohlrabi seed sprouting under isothermal conditions (10, 15, 20, 25, and $30^{\circ}C$). Baranyi model was used as a primary order model for growth data. The maximum growth rate (${\mu}max$) and lag-phase duration (LPD) for each temperature (except for $10^{\circ}C$ LPD) were determined. Three kinds of secondary models (suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root, Huang model, and Arrhenius-type model) were compared to elucidate the influence of temperature on E. coli growth rate. The model performance measures for three secondary models showed that the suboptimal Huang square-root model was more suitable in the accuracy (1.223) and the suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root model was less in the bias (0.999), respectively. Among three secondary order model used in this study, the suboptimal Ratkowsky square-root model showed best fit for the secondary model for describing the effect of temperature. This model can be utilized to predict E. coli behavior in red kohlrabi sprout production and to conduct microbial risk assessments.

        “헛간방화 에피소드”에 드러난 포크너의 개작의도

        The contents and technique of the barn burning episode in the opening chapter of The Hamlet are different from that of its original story, the "Barn Burning," in the four aspects. Firstly, the story of Sarty is eliminated. Secondly, there is an additional scene, a war of nerves between de Spain Major and Ab after a fire in the Major's barn. Thirdly, Flem becomes the main character. Fourthly, the narrator, Ratliff, delivers stories objectively with humor. In the revision, Faulkner intercepts the readers' recognitions-the radical resistance against an unfair sharecropping contract and lien system in the New South can be justified-by removing dramatic tension between Ab and Sarty. The writer devalued Ab's behavior as an immoral conduct that is just a result of personal discontent. Moreover, Faulkner does not write seriously about the cause of conflict between Major and Ab. The writer describes these stories objectively and humorously in order to appease anger of Ab who is a poor white sharecropper. It is in this manner, Faulkner reduces the symbolic meaning of Ab's arson. Faulkner revised the "Barn Burning," which contains serious and revolutionary matters, into the barn burning episode written in a conservative and humorous way. Faulkner's intention of revision is related with the decay of the Populist agrarian revolt and the return to laissez faire economism in the recovery momentum of The Great Depression. However, his ultimate concerns are not focused on the class warfare of the poor whites, but on the natural aristocrat's social control.

        『압살롬, 압살롬!』에 드러난 미국의 자화상

        The mountains of West Virginia are typical of liberalism; the plains of Virginia of paternalism. Sutpen is insulted by a black slave in front of the porch of a big mansion owned by a rancher at Tidewater, which reveals the conflict between liberalism and paternalism. After this incident, Sutpen sets a life goal with the negative elements hidden in these two ideologies. In paternalism, the ruling class hide their ruthless avarice by establishing a virtuous leader in the name of helping the foolish people; in liberalism, under the disguise of equality, they hide their avarice by dominating the Other. Sutpen sets an inhuman and ruthless code in order to achieve his greedy desire and proceeds to carry out a grand design of building his kingdom. In Haiti, he experiences the "freedom" of colonialism where he can rule over colonial slaves on the basis of white supremacy, the colonial and imperialist ideology. At Jefferson, Sutpen's dream for the rule of the upper class is completed with the use of slavery he experienced first hand in Haiti. Symbolically, Sutpen's greedy desire and ruthlessness are sown in the mountains of West Virginia, their buds begin to sprout in the plains of Virginia, their boughs and bark are created in Haiti, and the blossoms are in full bloom at Jefferson. Sutpen hates the class system of race and social status in the beginning, but he begins to long for class segregation. Finally, he adopts the desire to be one of the ruthless ruling class. The primal force with which Sutpen pushes to build his own kingdom without any shame, though he reveals ruthlessness and greedy desire, is the spirit of autonomy and protestant labor ethics, characteristics of liberalism. However, it is noticeable that this novel focuses on Sutpen's fall rather than on his success. The narrator, Quentin, regards Sutpen's fall as deriving from inhuman avarice and ruthlessness hidden in ideologies such as liberalism, paternalism, white supremacy, and colonial imperialism, as mentioned above. Thus, Quentin shows that Sutpen's inhuman and ruthless behaviour cannot be justified and beautified in terms of his autonomy and protestant labor ethics. The six spiritual elements-liberalism, paternalism, colonial imperialism, white supremacy, the spirit of autonomy and protestant labor ethics-coincidentally correspond with the resources for America's foundation and expansion. In a sense, Sutpen's history symbolizes that of America and his nature may represent that of America as a nation. In particular, Quentin, a member of WASP, having conscientious intellectuality, reconstructs America's one hundred year history up to 1910 in the life of Sutpen, Quentin depicts the self-portrait of America in Sutpen who achieves his success with avarice and ruthlessness but ruins his success because of the inhumanity hidden deep down in them.

        노년기 교육요구 분석을 위한 이론적 틀로서 McClusky 노년교육요구의 적용 타당성 탐구

        노인 인구 구성이 양적, 질적으로 변화됨에 따라 노년교육 프로그램의 다양성 확대와 질적 향상이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 노인의 교육요구를 체계적으로 분석하기 위한 이론적 틀로서 McClusky의 노년교육요구의 적용 타당성을 검토하였다. McClusky는 노년기 교육요구를 대처의 요구, 표현의 요구, 공헌의 요구, 영향력의 요구, 초월의 요구로 제시하였다. 이러한 요구들은 전생애 발달에 기초한 교육학적 관점으로, 노년교육 프로그램이 노인의 요구를 포괄적으로 반영하고 있는지를 평가할 수있는 준거 틀로서의 의미가 있으며, 대만 및 다른 국가들의 노년교육 실천현장에서 이론적 기반으로 사용되고 있다는 점에서 가치가 있다. McClusky의 노년교육요구를 노년기 담론과 노년기에 대한 사회적 접근방식의 변화 측면에서 평가한 결과, 현 노년교육프로그램의 주요 관심인 대처와 표현의 요구뿐 아니라 공헌, 영향력, 초월의 요구의 중요성이 부각되고 있음을 확인하였고, 이에 다섯 가지 교육요구의 균형적 접근이 필요함을 주장하였다. 이와 함께 본 연구에서는 공헌, 영향력, 초월의 요구를 노년기에 대한 사회의 관점과 노인의 역할 변화를 반영하여 재평가하였다. As the elderly population grows and its dynamics change, there is an increasing demand for expanding the diversity of and improving the quality of old adult education programs. Therefore, as a theoretical framework for systematically analyzing the educational needs of the older adults, the applicability of McClusky's Educational Needs of the Ageing was examined. McClusky identified five educational needs: coping needs, expressive needs, contributive needs, influence needs, the need for transcendence. McClusky’s Educational Needs of the Ageing is an educational perspective based on life-span development, and it is a meaningful reference frame to evaluate the efficacy and comprehensiveness of an elderly education program. Through the evaluation of McClusky’s Educational Needs in terms of ageing discourse and changes in social approaches to old age, it was confirmed that while coping and expressive needs are the main focus of current old adult education programs, contributive, influence, and transcendence needs are equally important. Therefore, we argue that a balanced approach to the five Educational Needs is necessary. In addition, we re-evaluated the contributive, influence, and transcendence needs by reflecting on the evolution of societal perceptions on old age and role of the older adults.

      • 검도지도자의 리더십 유형이 선수 만족도와 경기력에 미치는 영향

        이 연구의 목적은 중 · 고등학교 검도선수를 대상으로 검도지도자의 리더십유형이 선수만족도와 경기력에 미치는 영향에 대한 조사분석을 통해 검도지도자들이 선수들을 지도하고 경기력을 향상시키는데 보다 효율적인 리더십을 발휘하도록 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 중 · 고등학교에 재학하고 있는 남자 검도선수들을 대상으로 우수팀과 비우수팀으로 나누어 256명을 선정하여 조사하였다. 가설 검증을 위해 다중회귀분석 상관관계 분석, 이원변량 분석 방법이 사용되었다. 연구결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 검도지도자의 리더십유형에 따라 선수만족도에 차이가 있었다. 검도지도자의 리더십 유형에서 훈련과 지시 행동이 우수집단에 높게 영향을 미쳤다. 민주적 지도행동은 고등학생에 높게 나타났고, 권위적 행동에서는 중학생에 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 검도지도자의 리더십유형은 선수경기력에 영향을 미쳤다. 특히, 훈련과 지시행동이 경기력에 유의하게 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 선수만족도가 경기력에 미치는 영향은 과제수행만족변인이 경기력에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 리더십유형에 따라 선수의 만족도는 경기력에 영향을 미쳤다. 지도자의 훈련과 지시행동 수준이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단 모두 과제수행에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 경기력이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 민주적 지도행동 수준이 높은 집단의 경우 과제수행만족과 심리적 만족 변인 모두 경기력에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 권위적 지도행동 수준은 높은 집단과 낮은 집단의 선수들 모두 과제수행에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 경기력이 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. This study was to examine the influences of kumdo instructors' leadership on the player satisfaction and performance and was to provide the ways for the ideal coaching behavior models for kumdo coaches. Data were collected on 256 men's kumdo players in middle and high schools, who were divided into two groups: superior and inferior teams. To examine the hypothesis, three statistical methods were used: multiple regression analysis, correlation analysis and two-way analysis of valiance. As a results of the data analysis, the conclusions of tills study are as follows. First, player satisfaction differs depending on the leadership types of kumdo coaches. Superior groups showed higher adaptability and performance in training than inferior groups. In democratic training atmospheres, high school players showed higher adaptability and satisfaction. Superior groups showed higher satisfaction in performance and task taking. Second, the leadership types of kumdo coaches affect the performance of players. Training and instructing-behavior positively affect player performance; the variance of task taking satisfaction also affects it. Compared to mental satisfaction, the satisfaction from both developing performance techniques and taking the tasks more affect the improvement of performance. Third, depending on the types of leadership, the degree of player satisfaction varies in player performance. Both groups of higher and lower levels of training and instructing-behavior showed higher performance based on the degree of satisfaction in task taking. In the democratic coaching-behavior groups, the variances of the task taking and mental satisfaction all positively affected the player performances. However, in authoritative groups, only the task taking satisfaction affected player performance. Firstly, there is a significant difference resulted from evaluating by sex, position, training experience, and winning experience according to Kumdo players' characteristics anxiety. Secondly, there is only a significant difference between male and female Kumdo players according to cognitive anxiety state, physical anxiety state, and self-esteem condition. Finally, according to the result from analyzing the correlation between male players' characteristic anxiety and competitive anxiety, there is a significant difference statistically. In addition, by the result of correlation of female players' characteristic anxiety and competitive anxiety, there is a significant difference.
