본 연구에서는 새싹보리 열수 추출물의 혈행 개선 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 혈행 개선 관련 biomarker인 세로토닌분비, 트롬복산 A₂(TxA₂) 생성, 혈소판 응집, 활성화 프로트롬보플라스틴 시간(aPTT) 및 프로트롬빈 시간(PT)을 측정한 결과, 새싹보리 열수 추출물의 100, 200 μg/mL의 농도로 처리 시에는 세로토닌 분비, TxA2 생성, 혈소판 응집 억제, aPTT 및 PT에 효과가 없는 것을 확인하였다. 새싹보리 열수 추출물의 400 μg/mL의 농도로 처리 시에는 세로토닌 분비 및 TxA₂ 생성, 혈소판 응집을 억제시키고 aPTT를 유의적으로 지연시키는 것을 확인하였고, 이러한 결과가 혈행을 개선하는 기능성이 있는 것으로 보인다. 따라서 새싹보리 추출물이 혈행 개선 효과를 가진 천연 기능성 식품의 개발에 있어 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대할 수 있다. Barley sprout (Hordeum vulgare L.) is believed to have antioxidant, lipid metabolic, anti-cancer, and anti-fatty liver formation effects. However, the benefits of barley sprout to improve blood flow have not been studied yet. The purpose of this study was to investigate the blood flow improvement effect of barley sprout water extract in vitro on serotonin release, thromboxane A2 release, platelet aggregation, activated partial thromboplastin time, and prothrombin time-induced microvesicle generation. Serotonin secretion was significantly reduced 400 μg/mL of barley sprout water extract as compared with 0 μg/mL. Thromboxane A2 secretion from the phospholipid membrane was significantly reduced at 400 μg/mL as compared with 0 μg/mL. Platelet aggregation was significantly reduced at 400 μg/mL as compared with 0 μg/mL. Activated partial thromboplastin time in plasma was significantly increased at 400 μg/mL as compared with 0 μg/mL. Prothrombin time in plasma was not significantly different. In conclusion, these results suggest that barley sprout water extract at 400 μg/mL ameliorated blood flow.

The carbon fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP) have been widely used in aircraft and spacecraft structures as well as sports goods because it has high specific strength, high specific stiffness and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Machining of CFRP poses problems not frequently seen for metals due to the nonhomogeneity, anisotropy, and abrasive characteristics of CFRP. Delamination is a common problem faced while drilling holes in CFRP using conventional drilling. Therefore, AE characteristics related to drilling damage process of unidirectional and [0/90]s crossply laminate composite was studied. Also drilling damage like the delamination was observed by video camera in real time monitoring technique. From the results, we basically found the relationships between the delamination from drilling and AE characteristics for CFRP composites.
SA516/70 압력용기 강의 저온 피로균열 진전 속도에 미치는 응력비의 영향

The fatigue crack growth behavior of the SA516/70 steel which is used for pressure vessels was examined experimentally at room temperature, -60℃, -80℃ and -100℃ with stress ratio of R=0.05, 0,1 and 0.3. Fatigue crack propagation rate da/dN related with stress intensity factor range ΔK was influenced by stress ratio in stable of fatigue crack growth (Region Ⅱ) with an increase in ΔK. The resistance of fatigue crack growth at low temperature is higher compared with that at room temperature, which is attributed to the extent of plasticity-induced by compressive residual stress according to the cyclic loads. Fractographic examinations reveal that the differences of the fatigue crack growth characteristics between room and low temperatures are mainly explained by the crack closure and the strengthening due to the plasticity induced and roughness induced.
