The accuracy and dimensional stability of impression materials are one of the most important factors for successful prosthodontic treatment. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of several dental elastomeric impression materials used widely and clinically : Impregum-$F^{(R)},\;Permlastic^{(R)},\;Silascon^{(R)},\;Perfect^{(R)},\;Xantopren^{(R)}$. There have been many studies to evaluate the accuracy of impression materials. But it has not been decided yet, which method was most suitable for the evaluation of the accuracy. In this study, two resin teeth, #15 & 25, were prepared with rounded shoulder margin and 90 degree cavosurface angle. For the polysulfide rubber and polyether, the custom tray was made at least 24 hours prior to impression taking. For the silicone rubber materials, putty/wash impression technique was applied in taking impressions. Marginal openings of the castings on the master dies and prepared resin teeth were measured under stereomicroscope. The results were statistically analyzed and compared between tested impression materials. The results were as follows ; 1. In the overall accuracy of impression materials, polyether was the most accurate one, followed by polysulfide, additional silicone and condensation silicone. 2. On the first model pouring, condensation silicone had the largest discrepancies and there was significant difference compared to the other impression materials. 3. Polysulfide had the least discrepancies in the first model pouring, but showed larger discrepancies in the immediate second pouring than the first pouring. 4. On the immediate second pouring, the discrepancy of polyether was shown to be the smallest, while the largest one was additional silicone. 5. Polyether and polysulfide rubber using custom impression trays showed superior accuracy to silicone rubber, putty/wash impression technique.

This study was designed to examine that the change of the physical self-efficacy and emotion depends on the type of goal-setting(personal, assigned, and do your best) and goal achievement and relation of emotion between physical self-efficacy. Participants 1)who were in B basketball club of H University were randomly disposed three groups : Personal goal-setting(20), Assigned goal-setting(20) and do your best(20). The task was freedrow shot in basketball. Some of major findings are as follows: 1) The change of positive emotion was higher in achievement group but lower in no-achievement group regardless goal-setting groups. 2) The change of negative emotion was significant difference of goal-setting groups and was lower in achievement group but higher in no-achievement group. 3) The change of physical self-efficacy was higher in achievement group but lower in no-achievement group regardless goal-setting groups. 4) The positive emotion and physical self-efficacy were positive correlation.
전자상자성공명법을 이용한 오가피나무추출물의 항산화효과에 대한 연구

본 연구는 천연물로부터 기능성화장품의 소재로 이용할 수 있는 새로운 항산화제를 개발하기 위하여 정선산 오가피나무 추출물의 항산화 효과를 측정하였다. 통상적 항산화력 평가기법인 DPPH 라디칼 소거능 평가 방법은 천연물의 항산화능을 평가하기에 가장 쉬운 방법중에 하나이나 생체내에서 발생되는 특정 라디칼에 대한 항산화능을 평가하기에는 부적합하여 본 연구진은 전사상자성공명법이라는 방법을 이용하여 특정 라디칼에 대한 오가피나무 추출물의 항산화능을 평가하였다. 전자상자성공명법을 이용한 항산화능 평가 결과 오가피나무의 추출물은 유해산소종 및 유해질소종에 대한 매우 우수한 항산화능을 가지고 있음이 밝혀졌으며, 이리한 결과로 보아 오가피나무 추출물은 새로운 항산화제 소재 및 피부내의 산화적 스트레스 방지목적의 기능성 화장품소재로서의 개발가능성이 매우 높음을 알 수 있었다. This work was carried out to investigate the antioxidative effects of Acanthopnax sessiliflorus from Jeongseon County for the purpose of development of a novel antioxidant from natural products. The antioxidant activity was determined by using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), not measuring the radical scavenging effect on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) which have bun used for antioxidant activity of natural sources. Although DPPH radical scavenging activity assay have been generally used for antioxidant activity, this assay is nut appropriated for determinating which radical is scavenged by extracts from natural products. Using EPR, we determinated whether A. sessiliflorus extracts from Jeongseon County scavenge specific radicals or not. On experiment of scavenging superoxide anion radical, hydroxyl radical, nitrogen dioxide and peroxinitrite. Extracts from A. sessiliflorus showed high antioxidant activities to reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. These result suggest that extracts from A. sessiliflorus act as an antioxidant by scavenging reactive oxygen and nitrogen species and used as new cosmetic ingredients for anti-oxidative stress in skin.

Quartz glass are used in semiconductor industries as the reaction furnace, wafer carrier and accessaries. During the process the quartz glass received compression by direct contact with other quartz glass and metal as the form of weight itself and vacuum pressure and fatigue by vibrations caused by process. Even as the other ceramic materials quartz glass have high compressive strength but often there happened crack and breakage of quartz glass resulted in a great damage in the process. In this paper investigation will be carried out on fracture behavior of quartz glass under local load and fatigue to give guideline to prevent unintended fracture of quartz glass.
에폭시 수지 용출물질에서의 내분비계장애물질 Bisphenol-A 의 정량과 용출특성 파악

Bisphenol-A(BPA), a known endocrine disruptor, is a main building block of epoxy resin which is widely used as a coating agent in residential water storage tanks. Therefore, BPA leaching from the epoxy resin may have adverse effects on human health. The possibility of BPA leaching from three epoxy resins were tested with a modified KS D 8502 method at 20, 50, 75 and 100℃ in deionized water and the specified test water, respectively. BPA leached to the test water was identified using GC-MS and quantified with GC-FID after a sequential extraction and concentration. The results showed that BPA leaching has occurred in all three samples tested. The quantify of BPA leaching from unit area of epoxy resin coating was in the range of 10.677∼273.120 ㎍/㎡ for sample A, 29.737∼1734.045 for sample B and 52.857∼ 548.778 for sample C depending on the test temperature, respectively. In general, the amount of BPA leaching increased as the water temperature increases. This result implies a higher risk of BPA leaching to drinking water during a hot summer season. In addition, microbial growth, measured by colony forming units, in epoxy coated water tanks was higher than that in a stainless steel tank suggesting that compounds leaching from epoxy resin may support the growth of microorganisms in a residential water holding tank.
