Polymer materials have been used extensively as construction materials for automobiles, ships, and airplanes in recent years, and their impact resistance has been obliged to be examined. In the present study, a dropped load and a specimen, equipped with high responsible strain gauges respectively, were dropped and then the changes of load and absorption energy with time were observed. It was found that the waveforms for dropped weight coincided with output signal wave for specimen during the destruction test. Based on this experimental result, three disc type of specimens with different compositions were prepared and examined. This instrumented impact test method showed that each specimen can be distinguished from each other better than conventional tests and is expected to contribute to assess test results of impact resistance for some materials under development.
영상처리기법을 이용한 모노레일 구조물의 노면상태 평가 사례

영상처리기법(Visible 카메라)을 이용하여 A지역 열차 차량의 주행륜, 안내륜 및 집전슈의 거동상태와 차량의 전 궤도 주행에 대한 주행특성(상하, 좌우 변위)을 30Hz로 측정하여 모노레일 구조물의 노면상태를 평가하고자 한다. 열차 차량의 운행에 따른 상하, 좌우 거동상태, 안내륜 및 가이드레일의 거동상태, 주행륜 및 주행면의 거동상태, 주행륜 및 주행면의 거동상태 및 전차선 및 집전슈의 거동상태를 측정하여 정량적인 데이터를 도출하고자 한다. 차량의 주요 측정지점 7개소에 대해 고해상도 Visible카메라를 장착하여 약 6km구간을 주행시간 동안 1회 측정하고, 녹화된 영상데이터를 분석하였다.

Fiber optic BOTDA (Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis) sensor was developed to be able to detect intrusion effect through several ten kilometer optical fiber. Fiber optic BOTDA sensor was constructed with 1 laser diode and 2 electro-optic modulators. The intrusion detection experiment was peformed by the strain inducing set-up installed on an optical table to simulating an intrusion effect. In the result of this experiment, the intrusion effect was well detected as the distance resolution of 3 m through the fiber length of about 4.81 km during 1.5 seconds.

The purpose of this was to solve conceptual problems of family restaurant through theoretical approach, to improve problems associated with managing restaurants, and to suggest plans for family restaurant chains. First of all, in order to improve the problems of franchising, the contents of contract were analyzed by showing the examples, and the methods were illustrated to analyze the overall contents. Hereafter, family restaurants will be categorized as either 'Casual Dining' or 'Theme Restaurant', some of the nicknames for family restaurant. However, the fundamental categories will be in accordance with the categories of NRA of the U.S.A. as 'Family Chain Restaurant', 'Grill-Buffet Restaurant' and 'Dinner House'. It is hoped that the future study categorize these three in more details. The problems of restaurant management were considered to be concerned with the owner and the managerial problems. As a way to overcome the problems associated with restaurant chain concept, the importance of manual and food & beverage production, the analysis on different methods of store development, the characteristics of manual, the interested items when filling-out, and the methods were presented. The basic systems of commissary food service were introduced and their effects were presented as well in this study. The stages of store development and the models of expansion were presented for an analysis. The main focus of this study was to grasp the flow of organizational and store expansion by analyzing on-site stores and headquarters office hence find out the reason why the current portion of family restaurant is decreasing and not increasing among dining out industry. Therefore, it has brought a great opportunity to seize the problems of structual systems of family restaurant. A family restaurant is no longer perceived as an ordinary restaurant, yet it represents a whole new cultural environment due to the unique characteristics of family restaurant such as its food culture, protocol, and various shapes and sizes. The researcher of this study extends his wish that the future study reinvestigates differently categorized family restaurant and gives much attention to a systematically independent research subject.

In the past few decades, the measuring instrument industries have made rapid progress with increase of the demand in industries such as precision instrument, chemistry, electronics, industrial measurement and automobile. Thus, development strategy and technical advancement are required for both securing the competitiveness of products in the world market and industrial development. Intensifying competitiveness of measuring instrument is needed in the world market. It can be achieved by development of measuring instrument holding comparative priority. A development strategy should be drawn up in the long-term point of view for coping with the increasing demand of measuring instrument and securing competitiveness in the world market.
Characteristics on Temperature Evolution in the Metallic Specimen by Ultrasound-Excited Thermography

In ultrasound-excited thermography, the injected ultrasound to an object is transformed to heat and the appearance of defects can be visualized by thermography camera. The advantage of this technology is selectively sensitive to thermally active defects. Despite the apparent simplicity of the scheme, there are a number of experimental considerations that can complicate the implementation of ultrasound excitation thermography inspection. Factors including acoustic horn location, horn-crack proximity, horn-sample coupling, and effective detection range all significantly affect the detect ability of this technology. As conclusions, the influence of coupling pressures between ultrasound exciter and specimen was analyzed, which was dominant factor in frictional heating model.
