        고칼슘혈증 및 골용해성 병변을 동반한 급성 골수성 백혈병 1 예

        A case of hypercalcemia and osteolytic bone lesions complicating acute myelogenous leukemia, is described with review of literature. The patient was admitted with a 15-day history of nausea, vomiting, and multiple joint pain. On admission, laboratory studies revealed Hb 10.6g/dL, Hct 31.7%, WHC 2.100/mm³, Platelet 93.000/mm³, BUN 32.6mg/dL, Creatinine 2.8mg/dL, serum calcium 13.3mg/dL, serum phosphate 3.1mg/dL, serum radioimmuno reactive parathyroid hormone 0.17ng/dL. Bone marrow study showed blast as much as 84%. Simple X- ray showed multiple scattered osteolytic bone lesions on skull and pelvis. The patient was treated with Daunorubicin 45mg/M² to 3 day, Cytarabine 100mg/ M² to 7 day as remission induction chemotherapy, and achieved normal range of serum calcium and renal function with complete remission hematologically, and received 3 times of consolidation chemotherapy thereafter. The patient was re-adimitted with headache, nausea, intermittent seizure, and loss of conscious- ness during follow-up. With CNS involvement of the leukemic cell by cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) study, laboratory studies showed recurrence of the AML and hypercalcemia. He was treated with emergency radiotherapy(total 2.400cGy) and chemotherapy. He was improved symptomatically and hypercalcemia was disappeared, but the bone marrow aspiration revealed incomplete remission (blast 10%). The patient with his family refused further therapy, and discharged. He died about 1 month after discharge

      • 명시적 멀티캐스트 프로토콜 및 응용의 구현

        Explicit multicast 는 narrowcast 기술의 일종으로써 소수의 참여자가 참가하는 다수의 멀티캐스트 그룹을 지원하는데 효과적인 멀티캐스트 프로토콜이다. 기존의 멀티캐스트 기술에 비해 Explicit multicast는 세션별 정보를 유지하고 있지 않기 때문에 네트워크 대역폭을 절약할 수 있고 확정성에 대한 강점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Explicit multicast 프로토콜의 특징들을 분석해 보고 Explicit multicast 프로토콜을 지원하는 라우터를 Linux 기반 플랫폼에서 동작하도록 구현하여 Explicit multicast 실험 네트워크를 구축한다. 또한 Explicit multicast 프로토콜 응용프로그램을 개발하여 구축된 Explicit multicast 네트워크와 연동시켜 프로토콜의 동작을 확인한다. 이러한 개발 및 실험 결과를 바탕으로 향후 Explicit multicast 프로토콜이 효과적으로 사용되기 위한 개선점들을 제안한다.

        혈관질환 억제 효능이 있는 BDR-29의 백서 신장 독성연구

        The kidney toxicities of BDR-29 used for improvement of the vascular diseases, was examined using male and female Sprague-Dawley rats. The male and female rats were divided into 4 groups for intragastrical treatment with doses of 0, 5, 50, and 500 mg/kg/day for 13 weeks, respectively. In all male and female rats treated with BDR-29, no mortality and gross pathological findings were shown for 13 weeks. There substantially was no change in body weight in all rats with treatment of BDR-29. The renal functional parameters including urinary volume, urine osmolality, electrolytes excretory rate, creatinine clearance, and solute-free water reabsorption were not exchanged in all rats treated with BDR-29. Taken together, these results suggest that BDR-29 has no toxicity on kidney in all male and female rats.

        Escherichia coli K-12 대사조절 변이주에 의한 L-페닐알라닌 생산

        In order to overproduce L-phenylalanine, various kind of regulatory mutants were isolated from parental Escherichia coli K-12. MWEC 83 Producing 7.4g/l of L-phenylalanine has been derived as a tyrosine and tryptophan double auxotrophic mutant. To produce L-phenylalanine without adding L-tyrosine and L-tryptophan, revertant strain MWEC 101 was isolated from MWEC 83. Further various analogues and valine resistant mutants were isolated from MWEC 101. MWEC 101-5 was the most excellent strain that produced 17.9g/l of L-phenylalanine after having been cultivated for 54 hours in 15% glucose medium. It was disclosed that activities of rate-limiting enzymes including chorismate mutase and prephenate dehydratase in MWEC 101-5 were desensitized to 2mM L-phenylalanine in the enzyme reaction mixture and that activities level of 3-deoxy-D-arabino-heptulosonic acid-7-phosphate synthase and prephenate dehydratase were increased more than 20 times over those of the parental strain. L-Phenylalanine을 대량생산하는 균주를 얻기 위하여 Escherichia coli K-12로부터 여러대사조절 변이주를 분리하였다. MWEC 83은 L-phenylalanine을 7.4 g/l 생산하는 tyrosine, tryptophan 이중 영양요구성 변이주이다. Tyrosine과 tryptop phan의 첨가없이 L-phenylalanine을 생산하기 위하여 MWEC 83으로부터 복기변이주 MWEC 101을 분리하였다. 또한 MWEC 101 균주로부터 여러 analog와 valine 내성주를 분리하였다. MWEC 101-5는 포도당 15%로 배양 54시간에 17.9 g/l의 L-phenylalanine을 생산하는 최고 우량균주이다. MWEC 101-5의 chorismate mutase와 prephenate dehydratase 효소환성은, 효소반응 혼합액 속에 2mM phenylalanine에 대하여 효소활성이 저해되지 않았다.

        알루미늄을 투여한 노령 흰쥐에 있어서 뇌조직의 인지질 구성과 신경전달 물질 농도에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed to investigate the effects of aluminum sulfate administration on the brain tissues of old rats, when given at different concentrations. The experiment attempted to further ascertain whether aluminum exposure cause Alzheimer`s disease. Seventy-five aged Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups; a control group, 2 ppm aluminum sulfate group, 20 ppm aluminum sulfate group, 40 ppm aluminum sulfate group, and 200 ppm aluminum sulfate group, and were kept on the respective diets for 12 weeks. In order to understand the influence of aluminum on the brain, serum aluminum concentrations, phospholipid composition, and catecholamine concentrations were compared between the aluminum-treated groups and the normal group. According to the results, serum aluminum was higher in the aluminum sulfate-treated groups than in the normal group. Within the cortex, catecholamine concentrations were significantly increased but cerebellum and brainstem tissue were significantly decreased, in the aluminum sulfate-treated groups compared to the normal group. For phospholipid composition, phosphatidyl inositol was significantly increased wherase phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, and phosphatidyl serine were significantly decreased in the aluminum sulfate-treated groups versus the normal group. Based on the data, increased aluminum consumption in experimental animals causes increased serum aluminum levels and catecholamine variation. These phenomena are very similar to conditions of Alzherimer`s disease. Therefore, the results of this experiment further suggest that aluminum cause Alzherimer`s disease, coinciding with reports that aluminum is a cause of neurofibrilly tangles in the brain.

        Construction of Plasmids for Overproduction of L-Phenylalanine

        E. coli를 이용하여 L-phenylalanine을 대량 생산하기 위한 재조합 플라스미드 pMW10, pMW11과 pMW 12를 구성하였다. L- Phenylalanine 생산을 위한 유전자 $aroF^{FR}$, $pheA^{FR}$은 E. coli MWEC 101-5 균주로부터 분리하였다. 재조합 플라스미드를 함유하고 있는 E.coli 대사 조절변이주들의 L-phenylalanine 생산생과 안전성을 조사하여 $aroF^{FR}$, $pheA^{FR}$유전자들의 효율을 알아보았다. MWEC 101-5/pMW 11 균주에서는 24.3 g/I의 L-phenylalanine이 생산되었으나, 플라스미드의 안정성은 73.8%였다. 본 균주의 prephemte dehydratase, 고유 활동도는 E. coli K-12에 비하여 26배 증가된 것이다. For the overproduction of L-phenylalanine using Escherichia coli, the authors constructed various recombinant plasmids including pMW 10, pMW 11 and pMW 12. The $aroF{FR}$ and $pheA^{FR}$ genes for the production of L-phenylalanine were isolated from Escherichia coli MWEC 101-5 strains. The productivity and atability of Escherichia coli regulatory mutants containing recombinant plasmids were investigated to evaluate the efficiency of the $aroF^{FR}$ and $pheA^{FR}$ genes. The MWEC 101-5/pMW 11 strain produced 24.3g/l of L-phenylalanine while its stability was 73.8 percent. The specific activity of prephenate dehydratase in the MWEC 101-5/pMW 11 strain increased by 26-fold compared with that of Escherichia coli K-12.

      • 저상 고상 승강장 겸용 승강시스템 기술개발에 관한 연구 : 시제품의 내구성시험 결과를 중심으로

        국내 여객을 취급하는 철도역사의 승강장은 간선철도노선의 저상승강장(500mm)과 광역전철구간의 고상승강장(1135mm)으로 구분 운용되고 있다. 철도산업의 변화 및 발전에 대처하기 위하여 고상승강장으로의 표준화가 논의되고 있는 시점에서 저상전용 중·고속열차가 수도권 전철구간(고상승강장)과 본선구간(저상승강장)에서 혼용 운영될 경우를 대비하고 안전운전 및 승객편의를 함께 고려하기 위해 저상 고상 승강장 겸용 승강시스템의 개발은 필수적이다. 승강문의 경우 KS규격에 내구성 시험 기준이 명시되어 있으나, 본 연구에서 개발 중인 시스템(스텝)에 대한 내구성 시험 기준은 현재 존재하지 않는다. 이에 무고장 시험시간 및 보증시험 개념을 도입하고 신뢰성 척도를 결정하여 내구성 시험횟수를 이론적으로 산출하였고 이를 토대로 수행한 시험결과에 대하여 고찰하고자 한다. In this study, durability test of doorstep equipment for both the low and the high level platforms under development was carried out to increase the reliability of the system. Currently, durability test criteria of door system is stated as 300,000 times in Standard but that of the doorstep under development does not exist. Therefore with the concept of Zero Failure Test Time and Reliability Qualification Test, we determined the measure for reliability and calculated theoretically durability test time. we completely performed the durability test and reviewed the results.
