        『네 사중주』에 나타난 순환적인 시간의 의미

        Four Quartets has a different structure based on a changing and developing view of time and eternity. Each Quartet has five movements with corresponding form. This poem focuses on cyclic changes in a moment of history, the time of season, birth and death, and building and decay. Eliot expresses that the time in the experience to conflict the nature and meaning of this cyclical time. Four Quartets is said to make the expressions, such as religious and primary aspects of thought. “In my end is my beginning” but the collapse of the cyclical time makes possible another conclusion, “In my beginning is my end”. In the present becomes the future but it is the future felts in the presents, as the past is known in the present. In the succession of time there is the cycle of life and death in which matter perpetually change form. Eliot shows that the time in Four Quartets is a cyclical world. In this poem, Eliot shows how we can make harmony in our lives by turning the liner progression of cyclical time. This cyclical time is the best issue in this paper.

        엘리엇 시에 나타난 인식의 변환

        It has been said, great poet shapes the culture into which they are born. Poems cannot avoid mirroring their poet’s thoughts. Eliot was born and grew up in a Unitarian family but did not settle in Unitarianism. While Harvard University student, he studied philosophy, various Western and Eastern religions in search of ultimate salvation. Finally he converted to the Anglo-Catholicism in 1927. Eliot’s religious quest is reflected personal feelings into poetry. Eliot’s early poems, such as “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” and The Waste Land, are examined to prove Eliot’s struggle for a pursuit for the possibility of Christian salvation. In this poem, Eliot’s Christian imagination was a strange and rather unpleasant survival from the waste land. In the poem of “Ash-Wednesday”, Eliot’s expresses the pleasure of accepting God and proceeding toward salvation. Eliot’s poems after “Ash-Wednesday” focus upon the Christian salvation. After he converted to the Anglo- Catholicism, his belief in Christianity and in Christian salvation becomes stronger and stronger. Christian belief was reflected in Eliot’s poetry. Four Quartets shows Eliot’s overcoming of spiritual sterility and achieving salvation by abandoning himself to God. Four Quartets explains the Paradise as the intersection of the Rose Garden, the Still Point, and the Incarnation. Eliot expressed in his poetry that he was pursuit the ultimate salvation. Eliot’s poetry reflected the process of his personal Christian belief. He believes that after all, human beings are created in the image of God. (Margaret Pritchard University)

        엘리엇의 초기 시와 생태학적 상상력

        This century has witnessed environmental destruction on an unprecedented scale. Our use of technology and the consequent damage to the environment is a very serious matter. In the face of the current environmental crisis, nature-oriented, ecocriticism takes as its subject the interconnections between nature and culture, specifically literature. The purpose of this paper is to be aware of deep ecology by studying in the early poetry of T. S. Eliot, “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” and The Waste Land. His works include many social crisis, we must recognize that his literary consciousness aims to pursue the harmony between the relationship of nature and human being. He tried to link the human and nature, focusing on the ecopoetic relationship between various ecological imagination. The purpose of ecological literary was to investigate interrelations between ecology and literature to find solutions within literatures in order to overcome ecological crises.         The purpose of this paper is to be aware of deep ecology by studying of William Wordsworth, The Prelude, Walt Whitman “Song of Myself”, A. R. Ammons Tape and Garbage. These poets are common in their concern with environmental, natural destruction or damages which are made by the industrial, technological society of their won age in their country They works include ecological crisis, we must recognize that literary consciousness aims to pursue the harmony between the relationship of nature and human being. Wordsworth is fundamentally a true ecological poet, a poet of nature, showed in his poems. Whitman thinks that men and nature should enjoy equal status. Ammons emphasize the importance of ecological humility and restoration to the law of nature for our survival. They think that the nature is a whole and a living organism . These poet’s aims are to produce a harmony and peaceful coexistence of nature and human being. (Margaret Pritchard University)

        『순수와 경험의 노래』에 나타난 타락의 양상과 구원의 모색 -아동노동과 타락한 교회를 중심으로-

        William Blake is an early romantic poet in the 18(th) century. In the eighteen century of England is called industrial revolution because the system of production and division of labor allowed for the mass production of goods. The eighteen century of England went through sudden social upheaval and great confusion through the influence of the Industrial revolution and the English Revolution. The wealth disparity has widened along with industrial development. The poor children grew up in the darkness of ignorance and poverty. The society were experiencing a urban child poverty problem. The child labor is rooted in poverty, but it is compounded of government neglect. The circle of poverty was due to the corrupt priest and religion dismal poverty. Blake saw the united world through contrastive vision in Songs of Innocence and of Experience. Blake focused on the negative aspects of society in the vortex of revolutions. He criticized them in his poems with a keen observation and would like to suggest the solution for social recovery and human release. Break want to find a way to solve this problem. He beleeved that the God is the savior for all people and of all sins. This thesis attempts to analyze the social criticism classified by themes and redemptive voice for Utopia centering around Songs of Innocence and of Experience.

        기독교 대학 신입생의 소 그룹 활동이 자기효능감, 대인관계, 불안에 미치는 효과

        This study is a research on how freshman students of a Christian university can be helped to adapt and settle into university life by an arbitration program. Based on God, a Christian university will always involve the integration of a reflective Christian perspective in the process of education, be it on Christianity or upright humanity. The small group education program has an emphasis on conceptual learning as against overt religiosity. This means that students should be well guided to analyze the personality of Christian university, get career counseling, have good interpersonal relationships, and have a Christian world view. This way, they develop, on their own, the concepts of right and wrong based on the Christian values they are taught. A small group program was given lessons once a week for a year with verity activity, and met an academic advisor for Christian education and practices Christianity. The academic advisor was familiar with the concepts of self-efficacy, interpersonal relationships and anxiety. The subjects consist of 131 freshman students who were attending Jesus University in either the Nursing or Social Welfare Department. Data was analysed by average, standard deviation, and ABA. The results of analysis show that it has positive effects in the small group program. Based on the findings of the research, a small group program such as this should continue to be researched to prove its effects and educational value.
