The common-rail direct injection technology has become one of the significant technologies for the diesel industry. The technology is still new to the industry and there are still numerous areas to be enhanced. The first generations of the common rail system consists of injectors driven by the solenoid energy, however in effort to gain better controllability of the system the next generation of these injectors are slowly replacing by the injectors driven by the piezoelectric energy. In this thesis we have designed and implemented a piezo-driver based on the common-rail ECU(Electric Control Unit). The piezo-driver was examined with PCR2(siemens piezo injector), as a result we obtain the characteristics of the common rail piezo injector system and could operate the piezo injector system.<br/>

This paper presents an electronic throttle controller(ETC) using Intelligent Driver IC. ETC is a DC servo system that controls the throttle plate precisely. The conventional motor controller needs both a microcontroller and the external device such as motor driver IC , communication IC, and signal interface IC. An intelligent Driver IC integrates a microcontroller and external devices into a single chip. It is easy to install the intelligent IC in ETC or other DC servo systems. The microcontroller of intelligent Driver IC is a low cost microcontroller which has no floating-point calculation capability and low computing speed. Therefore ETC has a simple and compact control algorithm. The control algorithm of ETC is a modified proportional and integral control. ETC has nonlinear static friction which is caused by the mechanical structure of ETC. This nonlinear friction is overcome by the proportional controller which has a gain scheduling method. The integral controller is designed not only to minimize the steady state error, but also to avoid the windup effect. The experimental result shows a good performance.

This study aimed to examine the characteristics of ESG activities among major domestic companies in the carbon-emitting industry compared to industries with lower emissions, as ESG has emerged as a significant agenda across various industries. Departing from the traditional focus on the "why" of ESG, which primarily centers around financial performance, this research sought to uncover the "how" of effective ESG management in domestic companies. The analysis involved studying the sustainability reports of 124 companies using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators and comparing high-emitting and non-high-emitting industries. The findings revealed industry-specific patterns in companies' ESG activities, providing valuable insights for future ESG evaluations and assessments. Furthermore, the advancement of rating analysis methods holds implications for ESG rating agencies and financial authorities in terms of policy-making.

Recently, the model based development platform and the automatic code generation has gained significant amount of attention in the embedded system industry and especially in the automotive industry. Increasingly strict emission regulation and customer demands have boosted the complexity of the software. Previously in thesis 밫arget Specific Code Generation Platform? the components required for the automatic code generation platform has been described. This thesis describes two common approaches on adapting the automatic code generation. The first approach, Partial-automatic code generation approach, is fast and efficient method for small project and is relatively easy for the first time adaptors. Second approach, Full-automatic Code Generation approach, which heavily relies on MATLAB/SIMULINK S-function is an efficient method for large size projects. In this project a CAN communication function is developed using the full-automatic code generation approach.

The modeling and controller design of EMV (electromagnetic valve) are performed. For the analysis and controller design, the modeling equation of EMV is achieved. In controller design, three parts, i.e., start control, holding control, and swing control are considered. In order to reduce the landing speed of the valve, on-time delay control is employed. And the holding current has been reduced by the pick-up and hold operation of coil driver circuit. The simulated and experimental results are presented to show the validity of the control method.

Recently, LPG has been considered as more environmental friendly fuel than liquid fuels for vehicles, However because LPLi engine has the strong point that not only increases the volumetric efficiency and cold startability, but also decreases unburned hydrocarbon exhaust emission in warm-up condition much attention has moved to development of the Liquid Phase LPG injection (LPLi) system from the mixer type LPG engine. To reduce exhaust NOx this study investigated the effect of EGR with LPLi engine and determined optimized EGR induced position and distribution. In addition, engine stability, performance, and exhaust emission level were evaluated.

This paper is to design of high side driver for vehicle cooling fan application. If fan motor wire is damaged by a traffic-accident or a crash, The circuit associated with battery or driver might be shorted. this paper suggests a method to solve this problem. This designed circuit is confirmed through a experiment.

Recently, the model based development platform and the automatic code generation has gained significant amount of attention in the embedded system industry and especially in the automotive industry. Increasingly strict emission regulation and customer demands have boosted the complexity of the software. The approach of the new development environment is promising to resolve the issues that the current development system structures possess. In this project the overview of model based development platform and the core aspects of the automatic code generation have been discussed. The target board (Electric Control Unit) for this project is based on Motorola MPC56x micro-controller. By the means of Matlab/Simulink/RTW fully functional device drivers were created and tested.

In this paper, a monitoring method for hybrid control unit is proposed. To maintain optimum engine performance, A system that monitors hybrid control unit is needed. For monitoring the main processor action, second control unit is used. Both control unit interchange and monitor thier information. Main processor performs torque control and self monitoring. And second processor monitors main processor's malfunction.
