Electrical conductivity and thermoelectric power of the ferrous ferrite system of (Mg0.29-yMnyFe0.71)3-$\delta$O4 have been measured as function of the thermodynamic variables, cationic composition(y), temperature(T) and oxygen partial pressure(Po2) under thermodynamic equilibrium conditions at elevated temperatures. On the basis of the electrical properties-phase stability correlation, the stability regions of the ferrite spinel and its neighboring phases have been subsequently located in the log Po2 vs. y and log Po2 vs. 1/T planes in the ranges of 0 y 0.29, 1100 T/$^{\circ}C$ 1400 and 10-14 Po2/atm 1. The stability region, Δlog Po2(y, 1/T), of the ferrite spinel single phase widens with increasing Mn-content(y) and the boundaries of each region are linear against 1/T with negative slopes.

Purpose: This study evaluated fitness levels of 47 athletes from the 2020 Korean National Prospective Badminton Team by gender and game type (singles or doubles). Methods: Our physical fitness evaluation items included height and weight measurements, grip strength test, back strength test, 20-meter shuttle run test, side step test, standing long jump test, sit and reach test, back extension test, and standing on one leg with eyes closed test. Results: Male singles players weighed significantly less than doubles players (p=0.002). However, there was no difference in height between both group. Male doubles players had significantly higher grip strength (right, p=0.006; left, p=0.002), back strength (p=0.007), and side step results (p=0.029) than did singles players, but male singles players performed significantly better on the 20-meter shuttle run (p<0.01). Male singles and doubles players did not differ significantly with respect to the results of the standing long jump, sit and reach, back extension, and standing one leg with eyes closed tests (p>0.05). Female singles and doubles players showed no significant difference in any physical fitness evaluation items (p>0.05). Conclusion: Male doubles players were heavier than male singles players but showed superior strength and agility. Male singles players showed higher cardiopulmonary endurance levels compared with male doubles players. Female singles and doubles players showed no difference between all physical fitness characteristics. Further studies can use our methods of evaluating fitness in badminton players to provide coaches and players with quantitative indicators for optimal game type classification (singles or doubles) and help to devise winning game strategies.
동물 쥐에서 상·하지의 근비대를 유도하는 점증적 저항성 운동모형의 개발

The purpose of this study is to develop hypertrophy-induced graded resistance model for leg muscles by modifying the ladder resistance exercise model. After modified ladder resistance exercise, thirty SD rats randomly divided control group(CON; n=15) and progressive resistance exercise group(PRT; N=10). PRT had trained progressive resistance exercise with modified ladder exercise for eight weeks. When rats had finished the 8-week resistance training program, dissected upper muscle(biceps; Bi, triceps; Tri) and hindlimb muscle(vastus lateralis; VL, tibialis anterior; TA, soleus; Sol, plantaris; Plan, extensor digitorum longus; EDL, flexor hallucis longus; FHL). Which are compared with absolute muscle weight and relative muscle weight in CON vs PRT. Exercise load is more increased 400%(pre:294±46g, post:1393±93g) in PRT group and relative muscle weight significantly more higher in VL(1258.3±145.5μg), Sol(167.3±10.2μg), Plan(444.6±25.7μg) in PRT than CON(VL(1639.2±437.9μg), Sol(181.2±15.0μg), Plan(474.9±41.2 μg) (p<0.05) but not absolute muscle weight. TA relative muscle weight is not significantly different, but relative muscle weight is higher in PRT(2.0±0.1μg) than CON(1.9±0.1μg)(p<0.05). FHL muscle weight(relative: 533.6±46.3μg, absolute: 1.3±0.1μg) is significantly higher than CON. Relative muscle(PRT: 1883±244.7μg, CON: 1679.6±247.7μg) and absolute muscle(PRT: 260.6±49.3μg, CON: 216.9±35.2μg) in upper arm(Bi, Tri) are significantly higher in PRT. According to this results, modified ladder models has hypertrophied both upper and hind limb muscles. This resistance exercise animal model is useful to find out of muscle hypertrophy mechanism. Sarcopenia, Currently a Hot Topic: A Narrative Review

Aging is associated with a progressive decline of skeletal muscle quantity and quality leading to a gradual slowing of movement, a decline in strength and power, and a condition known as sarcopenia. Sarcopenia is a syndrome a risk of adverse outcomes such as physical disability, poor quality of life and death. Age-related losses in skeletal muscle mass and function have had a significant important in health care issue. In this study, we reviewed the recently introduced criteria for the Eastern and Western diagnosis of sarcopenia. A narrative review of evidence- and non-evidence-based papers was conducted, using a relevant methodological framework. This review is included the following: 1) definitions and diagnostic criteria over time; 2) pathophysiology of muscle loss; 3) management especially protein or amino acid supplementation, medications, and physical exercise.
