병사들의 군 생활 스트레스와 적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과

본 연구는 병사들의 군 생활 스트레스가 적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 군 생활 스트레스와 적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 검증 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 A지역의 육군 단기복무사병 1 개 중대 규모(150명)와 충청도 B지역의 육군 단기복무사병 1개 중대 규모 (153명)를 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음 과 같다. 첫째, 병사들의 군 생활 스트레스가 적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회적 지지 또한 적응에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 군 생활 스트레스와 적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과가 확인되었는데, 이는 군 생활 스트레스 수준이 높더라도 사회적 지지를 많이 받으면 적응을 더 잘 할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 병사들의 군 생활 적응 향상을 위해서는 군 생활 스트레스를 해소하기 위한 지속적인 노력과 더불어 사회적 지지를 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발․적용이 필요하다고 하겠다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의, 시사점, 그리고 제한점 등이 논의되었다. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of military life stress of soldiers on adjustment and to verify the moderating effect of social support in the relationship between military life stress and adjustment. For achieving this purpose, this study targeted one company of short-service army soldiers(150) in A area of Gyeonggi Province and one company of short-service army soldiers(153) in B area of Choongcheong Province. The results of this study are as follows. First, military life stress of soldiers significantly influenced adjustment and social support significantly influenced adjustment too. Second, there was a moderating effect of social support in the relationship between military life stress and adjustment. This means that even though military life stress is high, soldiers can adjust to military life better when they receive a lot of social support. Therefore, there is a need to develop and apply a program for improving social support in addition to constant effort to get rid of military life stress for improving military life adjustment of soldiers. Lastly, the implication, limitation, and future direction of this study were discussed.
