The purpose of this study is to develop a dance emotional competence model for functional improvement of dance organizations(groups). In order to achieve this purpose, the concept of dance emotional competence was established, and the construct of a dance emotional competence model was considered, based on emotional competence-related literature. Also, a focus group interview with experts was conducted to verify the content validity of the concept and the components of dance emotional competence. The study findings are as follows. First, dance emotional competence was classified into five levels; a basic level, a practical and empirical level, a professional level, a professional and application level and a professional and guidance level. Second, the components of dance emotional competence were divided into recognition and regulation in two areas; a personal area and an organizational area. Recognition of a personal area was subdivided into emotional recognition and emotional understanding, and regulation was subdivided into emotional regulation and emotional application. Also, a organizational area was divided into recognition and regulation. It is considered that this study would serve as basic data to understand emotional competence characteristics of dance organization(group) leader and members and contribute to development of dance emotional competence by presenting the concept and the components of dance emotional competence in a theoretical way.

This paper aims to develop the student athletes’core competencies assessment tool. To achieve this, based on precedent studies, this study identified the factor structure of student athletes’ core competencies and developed 102 initial questions through expert group meeting. It also conducted a content validity verification of the questions mentioned above in 14 experts and middle and high school student athletes and selected 85 preliminary questions. To draw the final questions, it conducted a survey of 626 student athletes at middle and high schools in Seoul. Among which, it conducted an exploratory factor analysis of 322 subjects who were assigned to wireless case selection and selected 60 questions. It also conducted a confirmatory factor analysis of the remaining 304 subjects and secured validity. It appeared that there were three personal domains and eight subfactors and that there were three social domains and nine subfactors. The Student Athletes’Core Competencies Assessment Tool developed through this procedure has secured its validity and is expected to be used as a tool to determine the achievement of middle and high school student athletes and support to improve their ability.

This study aims to develop core competency indicators of university dance majors. For this study, a core competency model of university dance majors was constructed based on literature reviews on core competencies and there was an in-depth interview with 21 excellent dance majors, who achieved results in career development to consider and conceptualize the characteristics of the contents. Then an experts’ meeting with 6 experts in dance and competencies was conducted to obtain the validity of the organization system. The study results are as follows. First, in terms of the orientation of core competency indicators of university dance majors, there is a need to develop learning competencies and vocational competencies based on cognitive competencies in order to enhance future competencies. Second, components of university dance majors’ core competencies were learning competencies (learning cognition, learning attitude, learning practice, learning management) and vocational competencies (career consciousness, career search, career design, career development). Third, with regard to core competency indicators of dance majors, components of learning competencies consist of 11 sub-indicators (learning perspective, self-cognition, confidence cognition, reason for learning, learning attitude, learning plan, learning activity, grade management, self-management, learning environment, learning principle) and 56 behavioral indicators, and components of vocational competencies consist of 8 sub-indicators (self-understanding, the occupational world, job information search, workplace structure search, career goal, job design, job preparation, job practice) and 46 behavioral i ndicators. In c onclusion, t his s tudy h as s ignificance b y proposing n ormative s tandards f or s elf-directed enhancement of core competencies, which are required for career development of university dance majors.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a strategy for enhancing competences of dance human resources in knowledge-based society. For achieving this purpose, based on literature review, the characteristics of knowledgebased society and the concept and the concept of competence development, which is becoming an issue today, were examined. Also, the present state and the characteristics of dance competence were analyzed and a strategy for enhancing competences of dance human resources was suggested. The study findings are as follows. First, in knowledge-based society, knowledge is the driving force of value creation and individual competence development is becoming an important task as a strategy to cultivate talent in different fields, specially in the field of job and education. Second, there are competence-related studies in the field of dance, but there is a shortage of discussion on the direction of dance competence development and systematic strategies are required. Third, there is a need to recognize and evaluate the importance of dance competence as a strategy to develop and strengthen dance human resources. It is required to securing superior human capital, change the competence-based dance curriculum for development of dance human resources, connect with the college curriculum by analyzing the field of dance-related job and develop a program for enhancing competences of dance majors. This study has significance by presenting the orientation of practical effort, which is required for enhancing competences of dance human resources. Ultimately, this would help the field of dance obtain competitiveness in knowledge-based society.
다층 모형을 활용한 중학생 학교스포츠클럽 참여와 인성관계 분석

The purpose of this study was, using multi-level model, to analyze the association factor between participation in school sports club and personality in middle school students. The analysis were, considering the hierarchical characteristic of school, divided into Level-1, a student level, and Level-2, a school level. The questionnaires were sent to middle school students and their club teachers of 19 schools selected from each 19 district using convenient sampling method. The 1201 and 64 questionnaires were collected from Level-1 and Level-2 were collected and used in analysis by using HLM 7.01 for multi-level model analysis. The results derived from this study based on above method and analysis were as follows: First, the most significant factor explaining the effects of participation in school club on personality in student level were teacher's attitude perceived by student and followed by subjective degree of involvement and degree of participation in school sports club. Second, the only significant factor explaining the effects of participation in school club on personality in school level were method of determining sports type and insignificant factors were number of participants, number of administered sports type, actual state of activity organization, planning for running club, participation in inside and outside school competition. It is suggested, therefore, for fostering personality of middle school students through participation in sports club, to operate program by considering character of school rather than just individuals. This study is expected to contribute to determine factors for more effective operation of school sports club.
