To apply a subcool acceleration air conditioning system in car, a suction line heat exchanger (SLHX) must be a small and simple design. So we developed a double pipe internal heat exchanger (IHX). Using this double pipe IHX, we can improve coefficient of performance in A/C system, and we use this profit to improve a rate of fuel consumption.

Recently, the flexibility of vehicles has been emphasized as new generation mobility, so the proportion of space for passengers and cargo is increasing, and engine room space is decreasing relatively. The cooling system has also reduced the distance between the radiator core and the cooling fan (fan-to-core, FTC) and increased fan capacity as it enters the new platform to respond to increased engine heat. Under these circumstances, interference of cooling fan blades and radiator core faces, which had not previously occurred, was found in the vehicle development stage. By conducting a real-vehicle reproducibility assessment, two dynamic behaviors of cooling fans were found and theoretically explained by the positive force and rotational inertia of fan blades and gyroscope effect. And also confirmed them theoretically and experimentally. Furthermore, we would like to propose a test method of dynamic behaviors for preventing recurrence of development vehicles in the future.
