Recently critical circumstance of the global environment has been known by generally, longer life of buildings are indispensable for effectual use of energy and resource. For satisfaction of longer life building, we begin to know buildings life time correctly and the point of their problems clearly. But under existing circumstances, we can't get some data for analyzing buildings life time in detail, so that discussions often base on a rough estimate or feeling. Therefore, this study focuses houses in japan, especially wooden detached houses that account for 73% of all houses (2003), because they are necessary for our life, and analyzes that present situation and progress of their life time in the 3 regions in japan (Osaka). We researched fixed assets ledgers and defined the circumstances of all houses in the regions. This study calculates only wooden detached house's life time in 3 regions with Kaplan-Meier method but all things considered, house life time in japan is probably about 50 years. And although their life time certainly progress in the future, we try to build up the construction and maintenance method of long life houses for making sustainable society.

In recent years, many data management systems for public facilities maintenance are set out or build previously. However, many public facility managers bother over how to use those data to implement facility management. This report verified utilization analyses and clarified the points of using facilities data for maintenance of public facilities. As a result of the analysis with real public facilities data, it is need not to use as there are but to check unusual data. Moreover it is preferable to review the optimized categorize for the efficient facility management and the reliable maintenance program.

As the population ages and fewer babies are born in Japan, also in Korea, The total population is on a declining trend since 2005. For continuously benefit fully from essential public services in these situations, we must review suitable location and management of public facilities from a long-term perspective. This study proposes a method of correct understanding and objective assessment for public facilities location with simple and easy index. By case study of educational facilities in Kitakyushu 7 wards, this study made clear the regional difference of facilities with some index as ground area, population and total floor area of each ward. Moreover, this study assessed the educational facilities location in Kitakyushu as compared to Tokyo 7 wards. In the result, educational facilities location in Kitakyushu were some different evaluations and good situation than Tokyo. The index and method of this study can assess over the section and province of facilities, the result appears to have broad utility and expansibility such as benchmark for inspection of renewal and converted public facilities in the future.
