본 연구의 목적은 매스미디어와 인터넷미디어간의 뉴스이동을 공론장의 관점에서 구명하는 것이다. 연구를 수행한 결과, 중앙일간지와 TV방송 등 매스미디어가 창출하는 상대적으로 거시적인 공론장은, 인터넷미디어로부터 정치ㆍ사회 분야 등의 ‘큰 의제’를 수용하는 경향이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 반면에 ‘오마이뉴스’와 같은 인터넷미디어가 제공하는 미시적 공론장은, 매스미디어로부터 자신의 보도틀에 걸맞는 ‘작은 의제’를 선호하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 국가ㆍ사회공동체라는 상대적으로 거시적 공론장에서 뉴스를 끌어내는 매스미디어나, 개인적 취향을 중심으로 분절화되고 있는 시민사회의 미시적 공론장에서 뉴스를 끌어내는 인터넷미디어나 모두 불완전하다. 따라서 이상적인 공론장이 작동되기 위해서는 이 두 유형의 공론장간에 상호작용적인 정보교류가 이뤄져야 할 것으로 풀이되었다. The purpose of this study is to investigate and study the news shift between massmedia and internet media in a viewpoint of a public sphere. In the result that this study has been carried out, it appears that a meso-public sphere, massmedia such as newspaper and broadcasting, mainly accepts big agendas in the fields of politics, society. etc. from a micro-public sphere, ‘Ohmynews’, In the meantime, it was found out that a micro-public sphere, internet media, mainly accepts small agendas which are well met to its ‘news frame’ So, it can be said that massmedia selects news items from a meso-public sphere which is ‘national or social community’, and in the meantime, internet media selects news items, centered on a micro-public sphere of the civil society which is rapidly subdivided, based on individual taste or concerns. Therefore, in order that a perfect public sphere can be smoothly operated as it should it is considered that both a meso-public sphere, so-called ‘common domain’ and a micro-public sphere, so-called ‘advocacy domain’ can satisfy the requisites of a democratic, ideal public sphere only when both of them dynamically interact.
