As modern vehicles are getting to have higher performance and power output, brake system gets more important. Especially brake feeling is one of the most important factor of quality problem of customer. But usually improving brake feeling makes cost higher. In this paper, new concept brake system is introduced which improves brake feeling with no cost increase by using small brake booster and long stroke master cylinder.

This paper presents the fluctuation of internal pressure and the deformation characteristics of cam ring in a balanced type vane pump. Cam-ring is operated in the condition of high pressure and low pressure repeatedly. Pressure overshoot occur due to the accelerated fluid, so result in pressure ripple, flow ripple, noise, and internal part broken. As a result of measuring and analysis, we have found oscillation of pressure and compression chamber pressure depend on the rotational speeds. The Results indicate that the surge pressures of the chambers at the instant moment of discharge and closure are affected by the rotating speed.

Thermal behavior of brake disc significantly affects brake performance and brake judder. This paper will document the thermal distorsion of brake disc so called coning and propose brake disc design factors which influence the coning. To investigate the thermal behavior of brake disc, thermal stress and transient FEM techniques were used. Several prototype discs were made and brake dynamo tests were performed to verify the simulation results. This optimized brake discs were applied to mass production.
