Purpose: The use of mechanical compression devices may be considered as an alternative method to treat cardiac arrest. This study aimed to assess the influence of vertical location of cardiac arrest scene to survival rate. Furthermore, it set out to examine the effect of mechanical compression devices on the survival rate. Methods: This is retrospective, observational study of cardiac arrest patients from Gangdong-gu, Seoul between September 2015 and February 2016. The data were collected by 119 rescue records and cardiac arrest summary list, and the resuscitation result variables were analyzed. We also conducted a survey on 119 paramedics regarding the subjective valuation and drawback of using mechanical compression devices. Results: The odd ratio of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) in vertical location of cardiac arrest scene was 0.40 (95% confidence interval, 0.17 to 0.98; p=0.044). The odd ratio of survival to admission comparing manual compression with mechanical compression was 0.73 (95% confidence interval, 0.26 to 1.99; p=0.532). A total of 54 paramedics completed the survey, and 46 (85.2%) of them answered that there was a decrease in the quality of chest compression if the scene was other than the 1st floor. Fifty-three (93.1%) replied that mechanical compression devices can be a countermeasure. Conclusion: Vertical location of cardiac arrest scene independently effects ROSC of out of hospital cardiac arrest. However, there was no difference in the survival rate between manual and mechanical compressions.
헤어 미용종사자의 직무 스트레스와 직무몰입에 관한 연구

With the advent of various cultural trends, consumers' desire for self-expression is increasing. One of the fields that most sensitively reflects these social changes is the hair field. The working conditions of hairdressers are psychologically consuming a lot of energy due to physical and mental stress, excessive workload, complex work environment, low salaries, and relationships with colleagues in poor working environment. When such job stress accumulates, it leads to psychological anxiety about job immersion, and this psychological factor lowers customer service and has a direct impact on the beauty industry. This study attempted to investigate i) differences in job stress, ii) differences in job commitment, iii) job stress validity & reliability, iv) job commitment validity & reliability and v) the influence of job stress on job commitment against beauty salon workers. For this, a questionnaire survey was performed against beauty salon workers from the staff to the owner in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Among a total of 522 questionnaires distributed, 512 copies excluding 10 poorly answered ones were used for final analysis, and the results found the followings: First, concerning the influence of job stress on job commitment, a statistically significant effect was found in ‘reward’ and ‘personnel’. Second, as ‘reward’ and ‘business factor’ increased, ‘affiliation commitment’ decreased. Third, in social cognition, a statistically significant influence was observed in ‘personnel’, ‘reward’ and ‘business factor’ (p<.001). In predicting social cognitive factors, ‘personnel’, ‘reward’ and ‘business factor’ demonstrated the explanatory power of 11.4%.

Background and Objectives The knowledge about chromosomal aberrations manifestated in cancer has been spotlighted recently. The genetic analyses based on the knowledge about chromosomal aberrations are important for the development of diagnotic methods and evaluation of prognostic factors in cancers. Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) is a powerful tool for evaluating chromosomal aberrations and array CGH significantly enhances these diagnostic effectiveness. The incidence of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) has been increasing worldwide but the treatment outcomes still have been limited. The aim of this study is to evaluate the location of chromosomal aberrations in HNSCC cell lines with the combination of CGH and array CGH. Materials and Method The locations of chromosomal aberrations were evaluated in 3 HNSCC cell lines (PCI-1, PCI-13, PCI-50) using the combination of CGH and array CGH. Results The sites of chromosomal gain shown by CGH in all 3 cell lines were 8q22-qter, 9q32- qter, 10q22, 10q26-qter, 16q12.1-qter, 17p10-p13, 17q21-qter, 19p13.2-pter and 20q. The chromsomal loss found in 2 cell lines were 3p, 4q21-qter, and 18q21-qter. In array-CGH, gained loci were AHRR, MYT1 and PTGIS, etc. Loci of genetic losses were ELAVL4 and GRM7. Conclusion In this study, we identified various genetic gains and losses using CGH and high resolution array-CGH. These data about the patterns of chromosomal aberrations in HNSCC cell lines would be a basic step for understanding more detailed genetic events in the carcinogenesis. CGH combined with array CGH can be a powerful option for transitional oncologic research.
