개선된 태권도 교수법 실행을 위한 교육 철학 지침의 통합

이 연구는 태권도 교육에서의 통합된 교육철학 구성의 실천을 통해 태권도 교육자들이 전문적인 수준을 갖도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 지금까지 태권도 교수법 및 그 실천에 관한 연구가 미비하였음으로 본 연구의 결과가 태권도 교수법의 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 최근의 태권도 교육 관련 자료와 일반 교육법 이론에 근거하여, 기존의 대다수의 태권도 사범들이 갖고 있는 교육적 관례나 교육목표에 대한 지식과는 무관하게 개별적 사범들이 갖고 있는 교육 철학을 제시하였다. 사범들이 개별적으로 갖고 있는 교육 철학은 수련생을 대상으로 태권도 사범과 도장이 효과적이고 명료하게 정의된 교육목표와 목적을 달성할 수 있게 지도하는 것이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 세부적으로 사범들은 도장 특유의 교육철학을 갖게 됨으로써 교육 현장 내에서 학생들이 무엇을 어떻게 배울 것인지를 알 수 있으며, 교육철학을 명확하게 밝힘으로써 사범들은 학생들이 그들의 교육 목표를 향해 전진하는 것을 돕는데 보다 적절한 결정을 내릴 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 사범의 교육철학은 사범의 교육 능력을 강화할 뿐만 아니라, 수련생과 태권도장의 실력을 향상시킬 수 있게 한다. 이러한 교육 철학은 경력에 상관없이 모든 사범에게 모두에게 적용될 수 있다. 따라서 태권도장이나 태권도 관련 기관에서 사범에게 사범자격증의 발급 조건으로 교육철학의 필요성을 강조하고 지도한다면 태권도 교육 발전에 기여할 것으로 판단된다. This article introduces the practice of composing personal teaching philosophies (PTP) to Taekwondo (TKD) instruction in order to help raise TKD education standards to the level of professional educators. To date, little research on pedagogical methods and practices in TKD has been conducted, so this article contributes to the growing field of TKD pedagogy. We present a guide for writing a TKD personal teaching philosophy (TPTP) for all TKD instructors regardless of their knowledge of pedagogical practices or purpose for teaching. This research is supported by current TKD instruction material and general pedagogical training theories. By elucidating a teaching philosophy, instructors should make more appropriate decisions to help students toward their educational goals. The results of this study indicate TPTP may not only strengthen instructors` abilities to teach but possibly improve every level of TKD from student to organization. TPTP may be applicable to new and experienced instructors. TPTP should therefore improve TKD instruction, but only if organizations require them for instructor licensure.

In the super-aged societies, an increased elderly population living in solitude has been causing many problems. Since the elderly may incur a sense of loss and interest in suicide when living alone, this study investigated the effects of smartphones as well as types of living arrangements on elderly peoples’ sense of loss and suicidal thoughts. This study found social roles and relationships were lower for older individuals using smartphones than those using 2G phones. Not surprisingly, those living with family members or a partner had significantly fewer suicidal thoughts than those living in solitude. However, our results indicate subjects’ loss of role and relationships was affected more significantly by their smartphone usage (2G phone vs. smartphone) rather than their living arrangements (i.e., living with family or a partner vs. living in solitude). Moreover, smartphone users showed a lower sense of loss in terms of social roles and relationships. Among the elderly, loss of health, social role, and relationships were identified as precedents for increased suicidal thoughts; yet, economic capacity was surprisingly not an indicator of suicidal thoughts.
