본 논문에서는 반도체 레이저의 직접 변조를 이용한 광전 발진기의 성능에 대한 이론적인 해석을 수행하였다. 먼저 광전 발진기를 구성 하는 각 부분의 응답 특성을 해석 하고, 이를 이용하여 광전 발진기 전체의 개방 루프 응답 특성을 얻었다. 다음으로 개방 루프 응답 특성의 크기 응답과 위상 응답 해석 결과에 루프 발진기의 발진 원리를 적용하여 광전 발진기의 발진 주파수, 스퓨리어스 톤의 간격, 위상 잡음의 성능을 도출하였다. The performance analysis of optoelectronic oscillator(OEO) based on a directly modulated semiconductor laser was theoretically achieved. First, the analysis was performed on the open response of the key components that constitute the OEO loop. Using the results, we simulated the open-loop characteristics of the OEO loop. By combining oscillation conditions of loop oscillator in addition to the open-loop magnitude and phase responses, theoretical performance analysis such as OEO's oscillation frequency, spurious tones and phase noise was successfully completed.
염산법에 의한 고령토 광물 중의 Al 성분 추출에 관한 연구

To obtain alumina by the hydrochloric acid leaching, calcined kaolin was leached with hydrochloric acid, and the leach liquor was treated by ion exchange resin to remove iron. Aluminum chloride hexahydrate was crystallized from the purified leach liquor by the injection of hydrochloric gas. The crystals of aluminum chloride hexahydrate were calcined to alumina. As the results, it was found that the optimum conditions of extraction of Al component from calcined kaolin were as follows; concentration of hydrochloric acid was 8N, temperature was 110℃, extraction time was 3 hrs and stoichiometric molar ratio of reaction between kaolin and hydrochloric acid was 1.0. The extraction yield of Al component was about 90% by weight under this conditions. Furthermore, transition temperature from the aluminum hexahydrate to well-crystallized α-Al₂Cl₃, was observed above 1200℃. Especially, the quality of produced alumina from the purified leach liquor was about 99.8% by weight.

We present the enhancement of narrowband modulation response of an optical source by integrating a dual-electrode distributed feedback (DFB) laser with an electro-absorption modulator (EAM). The dual-electrode DFB laser exhibits a multiple optical modes owing to a self-pulsation in GHz range. By modulating the laser and modulator sections of the integrated device simultaneously, 20-dB of narrowband modulation response enhancement at 6 GHz with 7-GHz tuning range has been observed. 전계 흡수 변조기가 집적된 이중 전극 분포 궤환형 레이저를 사용하여 광신호의 변조 응답 향상을 실현하였다. 이 중 전극 구조의 분포 궤환형 반도체 레이저는 자려 펄스 발진 현상으로 인해 수 기가 헤르쯔의 모드 간격을 가진 다중 광모드 발진 현상을 보인다. 이 현상을 이용하여 RF 신호에 대한 광원의 변조 특성을 6 GHz 변조 신호에 대하여 약 20 dB 향상 시켰으며, 이러한 변조 성능 향상에 대하여 7 GHz의 주파수 가변 영역을 얻었다.
스테로이드 불응성 궤양성 대장염 입원 환자에서 Infliximab 구조요법의 효과

Background/Aims: In hospitalized patients with acute steroid-refractory UC, infliximab has been demonstrated to be one of the medical rescue therapies to avoid colectomy. We report the result of a retrospective observational study to find the efficacy and safety of infliximab as a rescue therapy in our hospital. Methods: Between January 2007 and January 2010, 9 hospitalized patients with steroid-refractory UC were selected to receive three infusions of infliximab (5 mg/kg), at weeks 0, 2, and 6. Efficacy of treatment was evaluated at 8 weeks after the first infliximab infusion and at the end of follow-up period. Adverse events related to infliximab rescue therapy were also collected. Results: Seven patients (77.8%) had completed 3 infusions of infliximab and achieved clinical response at 8 weeks after the first infliximab infusion. Clinical remission rate and the rate of mucosal healing at 8 weeks were 57.1% (4/7) and 71.4% (5/7), respectively. They were followed up for median time of 24.9 months (19.5-53.6 months). One patient underwent emergency colectomy at weeks 2, due to colon perforation, while another patient had discontinued infliximab treatment at weeks 4, because of Clostridium difficile-associated colitis. Finally, colectomy was avoided in 77.8% (7/9) of cases. There was no mortality. Conclusions: Rescue therapy with infliximab has sustained clinical benefit in 88.9% of our hospitalized patients with acute steroid-refractory UC. Future prospective and long-term follow-up trials with a large number of patients are needed to confirm the efficacy and safety of the treatment. (Intest Res 2012;10:152-160)
