        Effects of Light, Temperature, and Water Depth on Growth of a Rare Aquatic Plant, Ranunculus kadzusensis

        Ranunculus kadzusensis is an endangered aquatic plant species that commonly reproduces in the rice paddies of Korea and Japan during winter and early spring. Here, we investigated the effects of main aquatic environmental factors—light, temperature, and water depth—on its growth,with the goal of seeking information that will contribute to its in situ conservation. As the amount of shading increased,biomass, maximum shoot length, number of branches,flowers, and fruits, main stem diameter, and maximum leaf length decreased. Although seed germination occurred under a 12-h photoperiod and at either 30/20°C (day/night) or 20/15°C, most plants died at the higher temperature. Survival was 0% for surface-grown plant sets when tested in a wintertime pond experiment. The rate of maximum shoot extension was greatest for plants grown at depths of 50 and 100 cm versus those at 20 cm. Thus, we demonstrated that R. kadzusensis is intolerant of high temperatures and shade,which may explain why its growth is limited to paddies with no shading and where temperatures are low early in the year,before rice cultivation begins.

        작동 연료온도가 Bypass type 피에조 인젝터의 분사 특성에 미치는 영향

        Diesel vehicles suffer from poor starting and running problems at cold temperatures. Diesel vehicles have the characteristic that CO and PM are reduced or similarly discharged when going from low temperature to high temperature. In this study, a bypass type piezo injector for electronic control based common rail injection system was used. Numerical analysis using injector drive analysis model was performed to analyze injector drive and internal fuel flow characteristics according to fuel temperature change. The results show that the rate of density change due to the fuel temperature is proportional, and that the effect of the kinematic viscosity is relatively large between $-20^{\circ}C$ and $0^{\circ}C$. Comparing the results of temperature condition at $0^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$, it is considered that the viscosity is more correlated with the needle displacement than the pressure chamber of the delivery chamber.

        랫트에서의 Gentamicin신장독성(腎臟毒性)에 관한 연구(硏究)

        Sprague-Dawley rats received subcutaneous injections of gentamicin sulfate, 50 and 100mg/kg for 3, 7 and 10 days. The hematological and blood chemical values were determined. Kidneys were examined histologically and ultrastructurally. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The serum values of aspartate transaminase, blood urea nitrogen and creatinine in the rats administered gentamicin, 50 and 100mg/kg/day were significantly increased than those in the control. 2. The ratio of kidney weight to body weight was significantly increased in the rats injected gentamicin, 100mg/kg for 10 days than those in the control. 3. The brush borders of proximal convoluted tubules in the kindneys received gentamicin, 50 and 100mg/kg/day were decreased or absent in periodic acid-Schiff staining. 4. The necrosis of proximal convoluted tubules was shown in the rats given gentamicin, 50 and 100mg/kg for 7 and 10 days. 5. The regeneration of the proximal tubular epithelia was observed in the rats treated gentamicin, 100mg/kg for 10 days. 6. The number and size of lysosomes were increased in the proximal convoluted tubules of the rats injected gentamicin, 50mg/kg for 7 days, many of which contained myeloid bodies.

        장애학생의 자기결정 능력 강화를 위한 자기주장훈련과 효율적 의사소통 기술 지도 방략

        It is critical for individuals with disabilities to improve self-advocacy ability. Therefore, self-advocacy abilities have various components, but assertive behaviors and effective communication skills are critical components of self-advocacy. The study is to investigate strategies of teaching assertiveness and effective communication skills for improving self-advocacy ability. The specific aims of the study are as follows; First, to find out strategies on self-assertiveness skills training of students with disabilities. Second, to reveal strategies on effective communication skills training of students with disabilities. The conclusions of the study are as follows; First, assertive behavior consist of internal·external components. Instructional methods of assertive behavior include modeling, behavior rehearsal, coaching, structured feedback, contingent incentives, homework assignments and other instructional strategies including social skills, role playing, and assertive, nonassertive and aggressive behaviors training, which are to discriminate among assertive, nonassertive and aggressive behaviors and to express their wants, needs, or feelings in an assertive, rather than aggressive, manner. Second, communication skills are important skills for self-advocate. Communication skills include conversation skills, listening skills such as active listening strategies, structuring the educational environment to improve listenins skills, and body language skills such as eye contact, facial expressions, gestures and body language.

        To promote students with developmental disabilities self-determination abilities which is one of transition education results should be enhanced psychological empowerment and self-realization. Self-awareness and self-knowledge should be promoted prior to enhance psychological empowerment and self-realization. Therefore, the purposes of this study are as follows; First, is to describe development of self-knowledge and self-understanding of children with developmental disabilities. Second, is to reveal strategies to promote children with developmental disabilities self-awareness and disability-awareness. Above mentioned help educators and professionals understand educational implication on self-knowledge and self-understanding as well as help them understand systematic teaching process presented for promoting self-determination through disability-awareness and self-awareness, self-awareness promotion contents through career educational approach, and contents related to self-determination evaluation tool.

        논고 : 20세기 구미 학계의 중국회화사 연구

        This paper outlines the Western studies of Chinese painting in the twentieth century and discusses the social background and the ideological impetus of their development. We need to be acquainted with Western scholarship in order to understand the current state of the study of Chinese painting because “Chinese art history” as an academic discipline has been formulated under remarkable influences from the "art history" established and developed in the West. The Western study of Chinese painting began in the first decade of the twentieth century while the study of China, or sinology, had developed as early as the sixteenth century in Europe. Western scholars of Chinese painting emerged in tandem with the increasing popularity of Chinese art among Western museums and private collectors during this period. Judging from the several books on Chinese painting published in the first half of the twentieth century, pioneering scholars tried to establish the study of Chinese art a5 a new discipline. After the end of the Second World War and the foundation of the People`s Republic of China in 1949. the United States emerged as a new center for the study of Chinese painting. The study of Chinese art history in the West became more closely related to that of Western art history because of the transformation of sinology into so-called "Chinese studies," which resulted in the dissolution of sinology into the disciplines of linguistics. literature, history, philosophy and art history according to the system of categorization in the Western academy. In terms of subject matter and methodology. the formalist approach to the study of landscape painting, which strongly emphasized stylistic analysis, was dominant in the field. In addition, several significant journals of Chinese art appeared, and important exhibitions` were held during this period. Since China began carrying out liberalizing political reforms from the late 1970s, Western studies of Chinese painting have changed significantly, and many museums have intensively collected Chinese art works including paintings. This change has resulted in the appearance of many special exhibitions, numerous publications, and new trends in scholarship. In particular, the so-called "new arthistory" has had a significant effect on the study of Chinese painting. The contextual approach. which emphasizes iconography, artist and patron relations, reception theory, and the function and social meaning of art objects. has gradually displaced the traditional formalist approach. Interdisciplinary studies have also become popular as cultural studies of visual culture often rely on art history. Furthermore, early pictorial art, the devotional paintings of Buddhism and Daoism, and paintings by women artists have became important subjects in the study of Chinese paining. Not only new methodologies bur also abundant new materials from China, only available in recent years, have made the above changes possible.
