Objective : Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch (GUF) has been used as remedy of allergic diseases for a long time in Korea. In the present study, we investigated the anti-allergic effects of GUF on experimental allergic asthma mouse model using ovalbumin (OVA). Methods : BALB/c mice were sensitized and challenged with 100 ug of OVA and 1 mg of aluminum potassium sulfate of 0.2 ml phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) intraperitoneally on day 1 and 15. Mice were challenged on 3 consecutive days with 5% OVA and AHR was assessed 24 hrs after the last challenge. We examined total inflammatory cell number in bronchoaveloar lavage fluid (BALF), Th2-associated cytokine productions and lung histology. Results : GUF potently inhibited the development of airway hypersensitivity and also reduced the number of BAL cells during OVA-induced allergic asthma. GUF also inhibited cytokine productions such as IL-4, IL-13 in lung tissue. Furthermore, GUF treatment inhibited allergic airway inflammation. Conclusion : These results suggest that GUF may inhibit the production of IL-4, IL-13 and infiltration of inflammatory cell and be beneficial oriental medicine for allergic asthma.

Objective : Ephedra sinica (ES) has has been used as remedy of allergic diseases for a long time in Korea. In the present study, we investigated the anti-allergic effects of ES on experimental allergic asthma mouse model using ovalbumin (OVA). Furthermore, ES inhibited cytokines production such as IL-4, IL-13 productions, and IgE level of serum. Conclusion : These results suggest that ES may inhibit the production of IL-4, IL-13, IgE and infiltration of inflammatory cell and be beneficial oriental medicine for allergic asthma.

A multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/graphene (GR) composite was synthesized for an enhanced supercapacitor. Aerosol spray pyrolysis (ASP) was employed to synthesize the MWCNT/GR composites using a colloidal mixture of MWCNT and graphene oxide (GO). The effect of the weight ratio of the MWCNT/GO on the particle properties including the morphology and layered structure were investigated. The morphology of MWCNT/GR composites was generally the shape of a crumpled paper ball, and the average composite size was about $5{\mu}m$. MWCNT were uniformly dispersed in GR sheets and the MWCNT not only increase the basal spacing but also bridge the defects for electron transfer between GR sheets. Thus, it was increasing electrolyte/electrode contact area and facilitating transportation of electrolyte ion and electron in the electrode. Electrochemical data demonstrate that the MWCNT/GR (weight ratio=0.1) composite possesses a specific capacitance of 192 F/g at 0.1 A/g and good rate capability (88% capacity retention at 4 A/g) using two-electrode testing system.

Objectives : The aim of this report was to evaluate the effects of Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM) in a patient suffering from abducens palsy. Methods : Acupuncture was applied to Left Sojangjungkyuk(BL66, SI2, GB41, SI3) for 15 minutes in all visits. Herbal medicine (Banggihwanggi-Tang) was administered regularly three times a day after each meal. Results : Patient's main symptoms remarkably improved after treatment. Conclusions : TKM therapy may be helpful in the treatment of ocular abnormalities related to abducens palsy.

Purpose : The purposes of this study were to examine the levels of critical thinking disposition, communication ability, and nursing professionalism, and to identify factors influencing evidence-based practice competency among new nurses. Methods : A cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted with 135 new nurses who graduated after a 4-year course from the Department of nursing. Data analysis, including descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlations, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis, was performed using SPSS 23.0. Results : The variables affecting evidence-based practice competency were evidence-based practical education experience, critical thinking disposition, and nursing professionalism. The most influential factor on new nurses’ competency of evidence based practice was critical thinking disposition (β=.32, p=.001), followed by nursing professionalism (β=.31, p=.001) and evidence-based practical education experience (β=.19, p=.018) which together explained their competency of evidence based practice up to 26.0%. Conclusion : According to the results the introduction and activation of evidence based practice competency is essential for new nurses graduating from a 4-year college, and it is necessary to develop a systematic education program and create an organizational culture to strengthen critical thinking tendencies, nursing professionalism.

제주의 해녀는 독특한 인적 문화 자원으로 세계적으로 한국과 일본에만 존재한다. 특히, 제주 해녀들은 1931년 생존권을 스스로 찾기 위해 해녀항일운동을 전개하여 일제의 식민지 수탈 기관인 관제 조합과 식민지 수탈정책에 대항하여 민족해방운동을 일으켰다. 현재 제주에서는 독특한 제주 해녀문화를 전승하기 위해 제주 해녀를 유네스코 세계 문화유산으로 등재하기 위한 노력이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이처럼 해녀와 그들이 전개했던 항일운동에 기반한 디지털 스토리텔링, 캐릭터, 애니메이션, 게임, 홈페이지 등을 개발하여 유아들에게 해녀들의 정신과 문화를 이해하고 계승할 수 있도록 교육적으로 활용하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 점점 사라져 가는 해녀와 관련된 문화 자원을 새롭게 재창출할 수 있는 방안과 항일운동의 정신을 재음미해 볼 수 있도록 한다. The Haenyeo of Jeiu exists as a unique human resource only in Korea and Japan in the world. Especially, the anti-Japan opposition movement of the Haenyeo of Jeju, which had started to get the right to live on their own in 1931, had developed as the national liberation movement by struggling against a colonial of Japan and the official regulation association that was a plundering organization of Japan. Accordingly, there is making an effort to register Jeju's women divers as The National Treasure in UNESCO's Memory of the world. In this research, we are going to make stuff like a digital storytelling, characters, animation movies, games, and hompage to let our children understand and succeed the spirit and culture of the Haenyeo. We'll also use these contents for the education. We examine ways to recreate the culture resources related to the Haenyeo who gradually vanishes.
딥 러닝 알고리즘을 활용한 플라이애시 콘크리트의 염화물 확산 거동 예측

본 연구에서는 GRU를 메인 알고리즘으로 활용한 딥 러닝 모델을 통해 시간의존적으로 변화하는 콘크리트의 염화물 확산거동을 예측하였다. 단 변량 시계열 모델을 구성하였으며 재령 5년의 시험 결과를 Validation data로, 재령 6년의 시험 결과를 Test data로 설정하였다. 예측 값과 시험 값 간의 차이를 절댓 값으로 평가한 결과 OPC 콘크리트의 경우 3.13 ~ 35.27, 플라이애시 콘크리트의 경우 2.01 ~ 66.03의 차이를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 딥 러닝 모델은 단일 배합 만을 고려할 수 있는 한계점을 갖고 있기 때문에 다수준의 배합 특성을 고려할 수 있는 다 변량 모델의 개발을 위한 연구가 필요하다.
