Green Remodeling has the purpose to reduce the energy consumption of the building through thermal insulation, high-performance windows, and air tightness. For this study, two building models are built, which is called Baseline Building and Green Remodeling Building. Windows, thermal insulation, and the air tightness are installed in the order named to the Green Remodeling Building and tested their influences to the indoor thermal environment. Besides the mentioned Green Remodeling Elements, the thermal mass is used, which do not belong to Green Remodeling. Through this study, it is proven, that the green remodeling elements contribute to making the indoor environment constant.

Experimental study on the control of randomly disturbing system is conducted. External and internal disturbances are imposed to the system in combined manner. A vertical propeller system exposed horizontal weak turbulent air flow is chosen as an experimental model. The aim of the control system is to maintain the angular position of vertical propeller in parallel to air flow. Trajectory Tracking Stochastic Controller (TTSC) is designed to ensure system's stability while following system command. The Trajectory Tracking Stochastic Controller is composed of two controller, one is stochastic controller to suppress internal random noise and the other one is trajectory-tracking controller to follow the command having random noise. The proposed hybrid controller, TTSC, shows remarkable performance in pitch control of vertical propeller system in wind-tunnel test.

Abrupt landslide might cause the loss of properties, casualties, and the block of traffic on the road especially during rainy season in Korea. In this paper, a method using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is proposed for the purpose of sending an early warning prior to a possible landslide. The GPR system measures the change of moisture content in the soil until it reaches a threshold of initiating the failure. A metal target is used as a reflector while the soil sample is moisturized at different levels of moisture content. Then, the dielectric constant of the soil is obtained based on the time of returned signal from the reflector. The results showed that this method is possible in predicting the change of moisture content within the soil sample and for the application to the landslide warning system.

Materials including soil have dielectric properties, which represent the characteristics of the material in response to incoming electromagnetic waves. This information can be useful in determining the moisture content of soil for the purpose of predicting possible landslide. To develop a database for the dielectric properties of soil, a network analyzer has been used for laboratory measurements. To simulate field measurements, a soil tank has been made and the properties are measured using a ground penetrating radar (GPR). Results showed that GPR measurements are compatible with network analyzer values so that the GPR can be effectively used for the moisture level measurements in the field as a part of landslide prediction system.

Intraductal tumor invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is considered rare. Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is effective for tumor thrombus of HCC in the bile duct. However, a few cases of obstructive jaundice caused by migration of a tumor fragment after TACE have recently been reported. The aim of this study was to identify factors that affect tumor migration after TACE. At this writing, a review of the medical literature disclosed seven reported cases of biliary obstruction caused by migration of a necrotic tumor cast after TACE. We, herein, report on an additional case of acute obstructive cholangitis complicated by migration of a necrotic tumor cast after TACE for intrabile duct invasion of HCC, in a 71-year-old man. The tumor cast in the common bile duct was removed successfully using a basket during ERCP and was pathologically confirmed to be a completely necrotic fragment of HCC. The patient`s symptoms showed dramatic improvement. In summary, physicians should be aware of acute obstructive cholangitis complicated by tumor migration in a patient undergoing TACE. We suggest that an intrabile duct invasion would be a major predisposing factor of tumor migration after TACE and drainage procedures such as ERCP or percutaneous transbiliary drainage could be effective treatment modalities in these patients.

Background/Aims: Gastric schwannoma (GS), a rare neurogenic mesenchymal tumor, is usually benign, slow-growing, and asymptomatic. However, GS is often misdiagnosed as gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) on endoscopic and radiological examinations. The purpose of this study was to evaluate EUS characteristics of GS distinguished from GIST. Methods: A total of 119 gastric subepithelial lesions, including 31 GSs and 88 GISTs, who were histologically identified and underwent EUS, were enrolled in this study. We evaluated the EUS characteristics, including location, size, gross morphology, mucosal lesion, layer of origin, border, echogenic pattern, marginal halo, and presence of an internal echoic lesion by retrospective review of the medical records. Results: GS patients comprised nine males and 22 females, indicating female predominance. In the gross morphology according to Yamada`s classification, type I was predominant in GS and type III was predominant in GIST. In location, GSs were predominantly located in the gastric body and GISTs were predominantly located in the cardia or fundus. The frequency of 4th layer origin and isoechogenicity as compared to the echogenicity of proper muscle layer was significantly more common in GS than GIST. Although not statistically significant, marginal halo was more frequent in GS than GIST. The presence of an internal echoic lesion was significantly more common in GIST than GS. Conclusions: The EUS characteristics, including tumor location, gross morphology, layer of origin, echogenicity in comparison with the normal muscle layer, and presence of an internal echoic lesion may be useful in distinguishing between GS and GIST.
VRML을 이용한 한복 Fashion show 및 Shopping Mall

본 논문은 가상현실의 한 분야인 VRML을 이용하여 한복 Shopping mall과 Fashion show에 관하여 기술하였다. VRML로 3차원의 장면 생성과 각 장면에 대한 움직임을 설계함으로 좀더 인터렉티브한 장면을 생성할 수 있다. 그리고 VRML의 기본 구성이 되는 한복에 대하여심도 있는 연구로 가상현실 공간에서 한복쇼핑몰을 운연하는 것에 대하여 연구하였다.
