Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of herbal medicine for obesity in animal experiments over the past 5 years. Methods: 5 Databases (Science on, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, Research Information Sharing Service, PubMed, Cochrane) were searched from 2017 to 2021. Results: A total of 50 studies were selected and analyzed. 21 single herbs and 25 complex formula were used in the studies. The most commonly used herbal material was Poria cocos. As a result, there were significant improvements in the indicators related to obesity or metabolic abnormalities accompanied by obesity in all studies. Conclusions: These results suggest the efficacy and mechanism of herbal medicine for obesity treatment in animal models. Also, there should be more clinical trials in the future, based on this study.
소아 구내염의 한약치료에 대한 임상연구 동향: 중의학 무작위대조군 임상시험을 중심으로

Objectives This study aims to find out the recent trend of the herbal medicine treatment in children's stomatitis in China, and propose better methods to treat children's stomatitis in Korea. Methods The randomized controlled trials (RCT) relevant to 'Herbal medicine treatment on children's stomatitis' were searched using China Academic Journal (CAJ). The search method we used included search formula, (SU = '口內炎' + '口腔炎' + 'stomatitis') and (SU = '儿童' + '小儿' + 'children' + 'child') from 2000 to September 2021. Results A total of 9 RCTs were selected and analyzed. All reports showed that oral administration of herbal medicine were effective and improved clinical symptoms. The most-used herbal medicine category was Heat-clearing medicine (淸熱藥). Conclusions The literatures from China have shown that herbal medicine improves children's stomatitis. These outcomes may be helpful for the treatment of children's stomatitis in Korea. However, further studies are needed to develop treatment guidelines for children's stomatitis.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of herbal medicine treatment, treatment's effect and stability for Crohn's disease by reviewing clinical studies published over the past 5 years. Methods 22 articles which were published from 2017 to August, 2021 were obtained from the ScienceON, Research information sharing service (RISS), Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Oriental medicine advanced searching integrated system (OASIS), China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), Pubmed. We analyzed the literature in regards to the treatment methods and results. Results There were 6 case reports, 1 controlled clinical trial, and 15 randomized controlled trial and in most cases, herbal medicines and Western medicines were administered in combination. The pathology of damp-heat due to spleen deficiency was the most common, and Sijunzi-tang and Shenling Baishu san were the most commonly used. As a result of the treatment, it was found that the combined administration of the herbal medicine and the Western medicine was more effective than the administration of the Western medicine alone. Conclusions Herbal treatment of Crohn's disease induced high cure rate safely than when only western treatment was applied. Future studies on safety and studies that can suggest specific guidelines for the combined administration of western and herbal medicines are needed.

Wall thinning erosion in carbon steel piping classified FAC, C/E, SPE, mainly. FAC(Flow Acceleration Corrosion) was investigated by many labs. And, Effect of C/E(Cavitation Effect) is decreased due to design supplementation. SPE(Solid Particle Erosion) is investigated in aviation industry mainly. On the other hand, SPE is not studied in NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) industry. Therefore, this research focuses relation between erosion rate and material, concentration. Experiment is conducted in 3 cases of material(Aluminium, Low-carbon steel(SS400) and High-carbon steel(A106B)) and 2 cases of concentration(50 ppm, 90 ppm) and 2 cases of velocity(10 m/s, 7 m/s). SPE threshold value and erosion rates are obtained through continuous experiment. NPPs SPE prediction theory and management technique were drawn from the obtained data.
