      • DNPH Cartridge/LC-MS 방법에 의한 알데하이드화합물 분석방법 고찰

        Atmospheric pressure ionization-mass spectrometry (API-MS) is used for the analysis of aldehyde compounds after derivatizing with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) and liquid chromatographic separation. In this study, linearities (r2), relative standard deviations (%RSD), and minimum detection limit (MDL) were excellent. Therefore, LC-MS method has a great potential for aldehyde compounds analysis. The background levels (field blank) of aldehyde compounds in the DNPH cartridge determine the sensitivity of the aldehyde compounds analysis. Therefore, DNPH cartridge must be stored in a refrigerator at 4 ℃ and be carried in a ice box at below 10 ℃, because the background levels of hydrazone derivatives increase slightly with time and temperature. In the air sampling, the volume of air passed through the DNPH cartridge must be large enough for the quantity of DNPH derivatives formed to be several times greater than the background level. Sample and blank DNPH cartridge during the sampling, carrying, and analysis must be treated as the same. DNPH and/or PFPH solution can be considered as a second method for the analysis of aldehyde compounds. 알데하이드화합물 분석을 위하여 DNPH cartridge로 유도체화 시켜 LC-MS로 분석하는 방법을 연구한 결과로, LC-MS에 의한 알데하이드화합물 분석은 최소검출한계, 직선성(r2), 재현성이 우수하였으므로 효과적인 분석방법이라고 사료된다. 알데하이드화합물 분석용 DNPH cartridge는 보관, 운반 및 시료채취과정에서 카트리지 내 함유되어 있는 알데하이드화합물 함유량이 변화하므로 항상 냉장 보관 및 냉장 운반하여 카트리지에 함유되어 있는 알데하이드화합물의 함유량 변화를 최소화시켜야 하고, 시료채취는 현장 공 시료 내 알데하이드화합물 함유량보다 카트리지에 채취되는 알데하이드화합물이 항상 3-5배 이상 되도록 충분한 시료를 채취하여야 하며, 시료를 채취할 때마다 매 회 현장 공 시료를 준비하여 공 시료와 시료의 채취, 운송, 저장 및 분석과정에서 발생될 수 있는 오차를 최소화시켜야 한다. 또한 악취공정시험방법상의 DNPH Cartridge방법뿐만 아니라 제 2의 시험방법 즉 DNPH, PFPH 시액 등 흡수법을 이용한 시험방법의 검토 및 도입이 필요하다고 사료된다.

        DNPH cartridge/LC-MS 방법에 의한 카르보닐화합물 분석에 관한 연구

        Several carbonyl compounds are important because of their irritant and toxic properties, mutagenicity andcarcinogenicity. Therefore, they are regulated in korean odor emission standard.In this study, atmospheric pressure ionization-mass spectrometry (API-MS) is used for the analysis of carbonylcompounds after derivatization with 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) and liquid chromatographic separation.-H]- pseudomolecular ions are most abundant for the carbonyls. Analyticalparameters such as linearity, repeatability and minimum detection limit were evaluated. The linearities (r2) for carbonyls were 0.9977~ 0.9999 when analyte concentration ranges from 25 to 250g/L(n= ~ 3.51% for concentration of 100g/L(n= 5). The minimum detection limit (MDL) was 1.88g/L (0.27 ppb) for i-valeraldehyde. It was shown that LC-MS method has a great potential for carbonyl compounds analysis.

        왕송저수지 및 유입하천의 수질특성에 관한 연구

        Wangsong Reservoir needs a systematic approach that can control water purity and water quality improvement. This study was carried out to assess the seasonal variation of water quality and the effect of pollutant being loaded from watershed in a sallow eutrophic reservoir(Wangsong Reservoir) from March to November, 2011. Wangsong Reservoir, located in Uiwang City, has the capacity of 2 million ㎥ in irrigation water supply with the drainage of 4.2 ㎢. Average concentrations of BOD, COD, T-N, T-P, and Chloropyll-a in Wangsong Reservoir were 5.8 ㎎/L, 9.7 ㎎/L, 4.299 ㎎/L, 0.106 ㎎/L and 73.1 ㎎/㎥, respectively. In the inflow streams and treated sewage of Wangsong Reservoir, the T-N concentrations of 4.114 - 14.619 ㎎/L were higher than those in the Reservoir and the other pollutants were lower. As a result of investigation, Wangsong Reservoir exceeded the agricultural water standard level due to algal growth and accumulation from the upper streams and sewage. In order to achieve the targeted water quality in Wangsong Reservoir, it is required to be decreased in pollutants of internal and inflow streams.

      • 반월・시화산업단지의 화학공장을 대상으로 한 악취물질 배출특성에 관한 연구

        반월 및 시화산업단지는 사업장이 밀집해 있어 부지경계지점에서 측정한 악취물질이 그 사업장에서 발생한 악취 원인물질로 판단하기 어렵다. 또한 배출구 및 공정에서 배출한 악취물질이 부지경계 뿐만 아니라 산업단지에 악영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 산업단지 악취관리를 위해서 10개 화학업체를 선정하여 2006년 3월부터 7월까지 5개 월동안 공정 내 배출과 배출구 및 부지경계지점에서 복합악취 및 지정악취물질의 배출특성을 비교 조사하였다. 화학업종에서 발생하는 주요 악취 원인물질을 악취기여도를 기준으로 12가지 지정악취물질의 기여도를 고려해 보았다. 헥사민 공정에서는 트라이메틸아민, 압연유, 도료 및 합성수지 제조공정에서 알데하이드 화합물, 원피가공업에서 황화수소가 주 악취원인물질로 조사되었다. 배출구 (stack), 공정 (process) 내 배출, 부지경계지점에서 배출하는 평균 복합악취가 희석배수로서 각각 493, 373, 16배로 나타났다. 따라서 공정 내 개구부에서 배출되는 악취물질의 기여도가 43%로 산업단지 악취관리 및 저감을 위해서는 배출구와 공정 내 출입구 등 개구부에서 배출되는 악취관리가 중요하다. We investigated dilution ratio values of the threshold limit (DRVTL) and 12 odorous compounds from a number of emission points (stack and process) and boundary areas of 10 chemical industries in the Ban-Woll and Shi-Wha Industrial Complex in Gyeonggi Province. The results of our study suggest that differences in odor emission concentrations are caused by such as factors as : suitability and operational conditions of prevention equipment, suitability hood of process and exhaust ventilation system, differences of raw materials of chemical industry. It was found that trimethylamine and hydrogen sulfide recorded the highest contribution from two types of emission points (stack and process), respectively. Show some actual concentration values here, hydrogen sulfide recorded its maximum values from leather industry, while trimethylamine for hexamine production industry. On the other hand, the results of dimethyl sulfide, dimethyl disulfide and methyl mercaptan were not useful, as their concentrations were not significantly high enough to judge from such respect. In the view-point of dilution ratio values of the threshold limit, the average emission ratio of stack and process from 10 chemical industries was 57, 43%, respectively. Therefore, it is important that the odor emission value from process and stack have to minimize and regulate for management of industrial odor.

        정수처리공정의 THMs 생성과 농도변화에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to investigate the effects of prechlorination and algae growth on THMs generation. The sample water obtained from Paldang Dam which is a main source of raw water for the Seoul metropolitan area. THMs concentration in the sample water was investigated in water treatment process prechlorifiation, chemical coagulation, and sand filtration. And also, THMs concentration were analyzed in the water which cultured algae in laboratory. The results were as follows 1. The THMs concentration produced by prechlorination unit process were increased in control (not purified) but decreased in process of purification. 2. The THMs concertration can reduce by increasing the number of cleaning filters. 3. The main precursor in raw water for the THMs generation was supplied by algae growth. So as to reduce the THMs concentration in water supplying system, it is the best method to manage algae growth in water body of Paldang reservoir.
