전해인프로세스드레싱법에 의한 초정밀 원통 연삭기술 연구

The ELID(electrolytic in-process dressing) grinding method is a new precision grinding technique with the special electrolytic in-process dressing by metal bonded grinding wheel, fluid, and power supply. It is possible to make a efficient precision machining of hard and brittle materials such as ceramics, hard metals, and quenched steels by using this method, In this study, a new efficient precision grinding method with ELID was attempted for application to the machining and finishing processes of cylindrical structural components. And, we try to develop the cylindrical grinding technique for mirror surface of ceramics, tungsten carbide and SCM steel, and for the high efficiency grinding of machined parts, for example, ball screw shaft. Electrical characteristics of three different wheel grit sizes of #325, #2000 and #4000 were investigated experimentally. ELID grinding method is proved to be useful for mirror surface generation and efficient machining.

Fresnel lenses are developed for flat optics with the optical characteristics close to aspherical lens such as sharp focusing and dispersion instead of spherical or aspherical surface. Usually, these fresnel lenses and diffraction gratings are machined by high-energy beam such as electron beam machining, but recently with the development of ultra precision machine tool and machining technology, 3-dimension micro machining becomes preferable. This study on the micro machining of fresnel lens is carried out to develop the basic technology of ultra precision micro machining. The machined lens mold will be used for the manufacturing of fresnel lens with 120mm focal distance using synthetic resin material with 1.49 refractive index(PMMA), and the shape of lens is 48mm diameter, $300\mum$ pitch and about $5-700\mum$depth of groove in brass.

Recently, micro complex structured pattern and machining technology are needed to meet demands for high-performance, large size and compaction in LCD display. It presents the machining characteristics of micro V groove waved pattern. Experiments were carried out for changing relief angle of tool in machining micro V groove waved pattern using PCD to obtain proper waved prism shape decreased effect of relief surface. Machining surface and cutting force are used to analyse effect about changing relief angles of tool with 3° and 10°.

The growth of LCD and LED industry has increased the demand for micro complex structured pattern array in Light Guide plate and optical film. In this study, microprism structured mold in a few micron class is manufactured by using orthogonal cutting method. The size of pattern is 10㎛ length, 6㎛ width 1.3㎛ and 2.2㎛ height. The length of pitch is 314㎛ and 191㎛ respectively. The micro structured mold is fabricated by applying the cross processing method with two rectangular shaped micro tool. In this paper, micro complex structured patten is designed, machining method is used and finally machining results are analyzed.

Micro drilling technology is widely requested at various filed such as nozzles, electronic products, medical components, precision tools and gages et al. Especially, dental scaler tip is recently highlighted in domestic industry. However, all dental scaler tips are imported from foreign companies. In this paper, We have studied the micro-hole process of scaler tip in order to develop dental Ultra-sonic scaler system with high performance. Micro hole process on SUS 304 for a scaler tip were performed with 0.1mm diameter flat endmill and same diameter ball endmill, and machining characteristics of each endmill were compared. In the future, the optimum conditions of micro hole process will be established based om this research.

A rotary union is a sort of rotary tube joint used to admit stream or fluids from pipeline to rotating equipment. For the fluid is conveyed by rotating joint, sealing equipment achieving non-leak at revolving parts is important. Developments on high-performance rotary unions in shaft structure and wear resistant seals to maintain its degree of a vacuum and not to be damaged easily from chemical materials are necessary, especially when feeding various gases for processing simultaneously in vacuum systems or providing chemicals or medicines for a mixer or an reactor in medical, pharmaceutical and chemical fields. Further studies on a rotary union for a high-degree vacuum chemical resistance are thus needed. We report the results of ultra precision grinding experiment of tungsten carbide(WC) and ceramic coating materials for manufacturing a rotary shaft, a core part of a rotary union.

As the Mobile and Display technology are being developed quickly, new wireless devices are released in great numbers. They reduce existing devices' life time and demand a reduction of developing period of portable devices. With these demands, existing film cutting mold used many films of portable devices, especially LCD Display, needs to be more precise, and cheaper. In this research, machining characteristic of SUS420 sheet that have good hardness, corrosion resistance and ablation resistance was analyzed through basic experiment using ball end-mill. And blade status of flexible cutting die fabricated with unique mechanical machining and blade status of die fabricated with cutting tool including chemical etching were compared and proper manufacturing process was intended in flexible cutting die.
